I show you how to fix a Huawei P30 Pro that is having a black screen issue, won't turn on, can't reboot or restart, frozen or is unresponsive. If you have another Huawei phone model is that having this issue the key combo may be different to comment your phone model and ill tell you what key combo to press and hold.

I fixed my KSOD (K is borrowed from the printing industry for "black") on my LG Stylo 5 Plus by running a plastic spudger down one side of the case; not opening the case wide open, just relieving a little bit of the pressure the back is applying to the innards.
Some phones can be resurrected by squeezing them like the videos sometimes show, while some-*like mine*-get fixed by releasing and relieving pressure on the insides. Applying more or less pressure, it's about an *open* somewhere in the circuitry. It's pretty obvious that phone manufacturers have some work to do on finding and fixing this one.
Does this work with a huawei p30 (regular p30, not pro)? Mine got cracked in the corner of the screen, even the protective glass and case didn't protect a thing. The screen was red with a green vertical line on the crack area for a few mins, the touchscreen was totally unresponsive, only that annoying emergency sos kept buzzing and buzzing. Then it went black, I tried your methods, felt a vibration (it turned off I suppose) then it kept making notification sounds like 3-4 times in a row. I'm thinking it needs repair, huawei is a huge letdown.

I have no idea how but it worked!!! My Huawei P30 has randomly froze and since then started constantly restarting, showing only the Huawei logo over and over again. I used the method of clicking the side buttons as quick as possible and gradually it started to improve and load further until it loaded completely. Thank you so much for that simple but yet super effective method! Great job!

The biggest flaw with this plan, is that if your phone "works" with the screen off, rebooting it will force you to enter a PIN. Impossible when you cant read the screen.

Maybe you can give me some advise please, I replaced the screen on my Mate 10 lite, it works, but once I hit the lock (power) button and it locks, the screen will not turn back on again if I unlock it, I can hear the phone unlock but the screen does not turn back on. A hard reset will reboot the phone and the screen will be back on. The place I got the replacement from swapped the screen for me but the 2nd screen does the same. Thanks

I bought my P30 Lite last year 2020 around march and a few days ago i lt twitched from my home screen to a black background, it did this a few times and then went straight to black. It now has this black background which only shows the time and date. I cannot unlock it i cannot do anything ,its ,its just a black screen with the time and date. Ive tried rebooting it a couple of times but still nothing. Ive even had to factory reset the phone in order to try and resolve this but still nothing. Im so disappointed because I have no idea what is going on. Please advise if youve had the same issue

I have a p20 pro, it was working well at 2pm, I haven't dropped it or anything. I left it on sleep mode in my pocket and tried to turn it on at 3.40 but the screen was black. I assumed it was out of charge (but it had around 60% when I last used it) so I plugged it in for around an hour. When I got back to the phone I tried turning it on and nothing happened. I plugged it back in and held the power button and it vibrated, showed the "Huawei - powered by android" message for a second, then the screen cuts out. It then keeps doing that every 5 seconds or so, unless i unplug it again. you have any tips or ideas?

I have a huawei p30 lite, I tried this method with the charger plugged in, although the Huawei logo appeared, the booting process didn't continue, the screen was still black.
i want to ask.. i do it and it's work.. but i have to do it while charge... when unplugged back.. it's turn off again.. when it's on before i unplugged the charge, the battery is already 100.. so it is i need to let it charge for a while when it's can turn on?

Hi I just replaced the screen with new one connected all back switch on and all I get is a light blue screen nothing else. I've tried holding the buttons like on this video several times but nothing
I didn't work, just went straight to the "Welcome" Then after 10 times not working, I was pissed and just decided to hold it down and let it just keep restarting ... now it went to do android updates, I am assuming this is going to repair my issue but THANK YOU for keeping me from panicking!!!
