    In this tutorial we use the properties of clips to manipulate the Scale X and Scale Y parameters of a clip to get the size we want. Then, Position X and Position Y let us change the area we zoom in to. Later, we use the context menu automated animations and finally build our own animation using keyframes. OpenShot has some amazing features!
    OpenShot is available for free for Windows, Mac OS X and Linux from www.openshot.or...

      That's just a workaround.
      It's kind of stupid that the program does not allow zooming in and out within one clip, but rather it can only do "start of clip", "end of clip", or "entire clip".
      I don't want to split the clip into multiple chunks, as I worry that there may be transition problems.

    Liking and commenting because you got to the point so quickly. I know youtubers such as yourself have to self promote and i understand that completely but its soooo annoying to have like a 3 minute self promoting section in a tutorial. You did it very quickly and got to the point and i appreciate that. Helpful information as well!

      Aye but like how do you get the zoom to zoom in on a specific spot for a second?

    • @tuxdesigner3856
      @tuxdesigner3856  7 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Ok, so let's assume you want to zoom from 00:05.01 until 00:06.01:
      Go to 00:04.30 - set zoom to 1 (so a keyframe is created)
      Go to 00:05.01 - set zoom to 2
      Go to 00:05.30 - set zoom to 2
      Go to 00:06.01 - set zoom to 1
      Is this clear? :)

    • @Kirbyception
      @Kirbyception 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I mean like not a slow zoom like in the video, like one where it glances at a word or object for a couple seconds. Unless that's what you're saying right now and I'm just retarded xD

    • @tuxdesigner3856
      @tuxdesigner3856  7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yes, that is what I mean. By having the distance of one frame between two different scale settings, the zoom is instant. Unfortunately there seems to be no split clip function in OpenShot right now, else I'd suggest that.
