    Hi Staci! Wow - Seed Stitch On the Bias! I have been knitting every day for 11 years now .... and, your tutorial is the first I have found that teaches this simple & lovely bias stitch. This pattern is wonderful & fun to knit! Great project for listening to a good book while knitting. Thank you for both your effective teaching & beautiful, positive attitude! Most appreciated as this is my favorite go-to classic stitch, now shown in a new (to me, at least) pattern. 😊 Happy Knitting!

    Thanks for this pattern. The tweedy look is lovely in all the colours and makes the yarn a little more interesting. Just need to decide which combination of colours I’ll use.

    Absolutely gorgeous! Can’t wait to pick up my yarn for the pattern. I did not see the opposite side of the scarf, when you changed yarn colors. Typically there is a line color ( I know there is a name for it). Is this the case on this project?
    I love following you.

    • @verypinkknits
      @verypinkknits  6 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      If your seed stitch has the gaps you're describing, you can fix that by using a smaller needle size. :)

    Video request :) I know to add a pocket to a sweater, I can knit a square and sew it on. I find it looks a bit rustic. But I've seen sweaters where the pocket looks "knit in" somehow, for a much smoother look, and I haven't been able to find out how to work that technique. I would love to be able to add pockets to sweaters without taking the look from handmade to homemade!

    Hello!
    I have a problem with this setup and wonder if you can help me.
    STRAIGHT SECTION, SEED STITCH SETUP
    Break AC2 colour, switch to MC.
    Setup Row 1: (kfb, k3), k to last 2 stitches, k2tog
    Is it only kfb once and then knit all the way or?
    I love this pattern - thank you!

    This is beautiful. I’ve not worked with cotton/cotton blend yarns before. How stretchy would it be? (Just asking because I don’t wear cotton sweaters as they stretch out and lose their shape). Thank you for this pattern.

    • @verypinkknits
      @verypinkknits  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      This yarn really doesn't have any stretch to it, the shawl holds its shape very well. :)

    Thank you for this lovely shawl pattern and the tutorial.
    The yarn colors on the KPC web site do not look at all like they do in your video. Which is closer to the actual colors?
    The pattern calls for US size 4 needles. Is the yarn thinner than one might usually expect of DK weight? How drapey is the shawl you knitted?
    Thanks.

    • @verypinkknits
      @verypinkknits  6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      The KPC site shows the exact colors of the yarn, you can trust them. The size 4 US needles with this yarn creates a very drapey fabric, as I explain in the video.

  • @alexanderciesielski9051

    How do you feel about the Zing needles as an all-purpose needle? I have been looking for a great set to get my mother-in-law. I think she would love working with an interchangeable set. She likes metal needles but I don't think she is a very fast knitter. I think these would be great, and I love the presentation of the set. Are they sticky like other aluminum needles are? Or does the plated tip help with that? How do they compare to the Acrylic marblz set?

    Awesome pattern I can't wait to make. I'm intrigued though...your video was cut in 2 places, normally you record all in one ...

    • @verypinkknits
      @verypinkknits  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes - I do always try to get each section in one take. But I have seasonal allergies, and the trees are all blooming in Texas right now - so the editor had to cut out a couple of coughing fits. I had to pause and drink water, then get back to the knitting. :)

    Rather than a m1 can you do a kfb where it calls for it? Not sure of the difference?

    • @verypinkknits
      @verypinkknits  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      You can - but I chose a M1 for this pattern because it is an "invisible" increase. There is only one M1 in the whole pattern, the rest is kfb.

    • @kathytellier3806
      @kathytellier3806 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      VeryPink Knits okay thank you. I use the kfb a lot.. Just wasn't sure what the difference was using the m1 as an increase. Now is the time to try it! I am a great fan of your tutorials.
