Thank you for making a "small sample" for beginner knitters like me to practice on. Your example takes us all the way through from beginning to end. That's INCREDIBLY helpful. I've been very frustrated trying to knit on my own; trying to learn fancy stitches, etc. Your video is a lifesaver. I've been thinking of making baby sweaters to practice on before trying to tackle adult sweaters. I came across this video and making a "mini" version of something before tackling the big version is EXACTLY what I needed! I'm so thankful I found you! So thankful you are making tutorials. ❤
Hello Helen, I have cataracts so found it brilliant that she actually talked us through as well as showing clearly what she was doing. I'm on a waiting list to have the surgery on my eyes but you know what those lists are like these days. Good luck. Vera in Northern Ireland ❤
I am excited to make the shawl. Your video is wonderful it’s close that I can actually see the stitches see what you’re doing the speed is fine. I’ve always been intimidated on knitting a shawl but I have confidence after watching your tutorial. Thank you so much
This is such a gorgeous pattern and such brilliant tips. ❤ going to buy the pattern. Already have quite a few single skeins of fingering weight yarns so going to have a play with colours. 😊🧶. Thank you for this superb tutorial. 👏🏻👏🏻
This was the best knitting tutorial I’ve seen for knitting!! I crochet and knit but have been in a knitting binge lately and this will be my next shawl!!! Ty ty thank you so much!!!❤❤❤ and for this I subbed to your channel!! Yay🎉🎉🎉🎉
Thank you so much for this really good tutorial! I used to knit before having a stroke. I have fairly good control of my hands again but am on a waiting list for cataract surgery so I am delighted that you explained so patiently what you were doing, as well as demonstrating each stitch. I truly believe that if I follow your video I will be able to make this beautiful shawl, having feared my knitting and crocheting hobby was no longer viable. God bless you! I’m a crocheted and have been for the last 30 years. I’ve always wanted to try knitting. Watching your tutorial it’s so clear and easy to understand. A beautiful pattern and I’m off to get some yarn. Thank you so much for your wonderful work. I’m looking forward to future designs. ❤❤

Freue mich schon riesig aufs nacharbeiten 🥰 DANKESCHÖN HELENE 👏👏👏
This is so beautiful and I will definitely make this shawl in the near future. Recently I bought 6 skeins each of two colors to make myself a sweater but I needed a pattern which uses the same amount of wool otherwise it would not be enough for my sweater. That is how I found you and your channel. This is the ideal pattern and I thank you so much for sharing your nice work. Have a nice day ˚‧。⋆🌻⋆。‧˚
Grand Merci 🤗
I know how to knit and have knitted a few items, but gravitate towards crocheting so I can donate throws or shawls. I have to say, I’ve been eyeing Arcade Fiber Works in Canada because of their gorgeous yarn, and this shawl may just be the kick in the pants to get me to order some of their yarn to make this. Thank you for sharing … I’m on my way to Ravelry so I have something to refer to.
Do the same carrying technique, but instead of swapping the colors, just continue with MC. your CC should get trapped between the first and second stitch of every rs row. Hope that helps! Get back to me if it doesn't make sense!
I don't see why not. 420 yds should enough, and it sounds gorgeous! do you mean because you will hold it double as the malabrigo silkpaca is a lace weight? should work just fine.
You can find all of the information in the description box below the video, just click on more.. www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/always-be-brave-shawl---the-sock-edit Hope that helps
What is the purpose of not carrying on with the decreases on every row that has an increase? Is it to keep the shawl from forming a pronounced asymmetrical or “boomerang” shape?
It helps the shape (keeping it a bit deeper) but also keeps the pattern repeat very simple 12 rows. If you put in decreases then the repeat would be much longer. Hope that makes sense.

can i use AZULES 420yd Skein Malabrigo BABY SILKPACA Alpaca & Silk x-SOFT LUXURY YARN ?
I don't see why not. 420 yds should enough, and it sounds gorgeous! do you mean because you will hold it double as the malabrigo silkpaca is a lace weight? should work just fine.
