Most of these flagship bows are not easy to just go pickup and build, shoot and own. I’m watching and learning as much as I can and really do appreciate every detail you give and repeat! So let’s laugh at the haters cause they’re jelly and keep making good content!
Love seeing you work all the way through a newer Mathews. Very easy to understand so it’s building my confidence to work on mine to be correct and save money. Thank you
I really wish I had a shop like yours within a reasonable days drive. I would love to have someone with so much knowledge and attention to detail tune my bow and get me squared away on proper arrows. I’d just get my own equipment to work on my own stuff, but with 3 kids and a small house limits me on my space. Love watching your vids though Josh
MFJJ made me fall in love with archery and currently trying to get my wife into it😂. I love these videos. Easy to understand and I feel like he is speaking to both experienced and new shooters.
Hey man love what you're doing with your videos and your shop, great tips and advice glad to see you trying a pse for the forth bow I know Mathews Hoyt bowtech are great but pse has been around a long time and came a long way... I'm sure you'll make it turn out awesome, can't wait for the video!!!
This is/was my dream bow. I'm saving up but they'll probably have the phase 6 by then.. 😂 Geez you make these videos look easy, thanks for all of your effort and having the patience to go into detail.. 🪃🦘🙏
love the video but to me the end was the best part . you saying you love to see the hate on how people say your payed opinions is why i love your channel your 100 % straight up on every video you make ! would love to come to your shop one day and meet you. keep up the great work bro🤘
And if you maintain clearance switch the lower top hats instead of the uppers, bring the string closer to the center. Slightly off set towards the cable brace to to the pressure on the opposite side of the limbs. And the cable ring shouldn’t tie directly to the center of the ring, slightly off set towards the cable bar to cause direct pull on the limbs. I think this is the best concept for future bows just assembled incorrectly. Love the content. I’m just getting back in archery and please respond let me know if I’m thinking incorrectly or ocd is on point?
My buddy has an epsilon on his hoyt, he was getting contact with blazers and tac drivers .we took it to a very reputable shop they couldn't get it either . Lipstick on vanes will show it , or broadheads .now it's a good paperweight .
Question for you ? If I want to put an axcel landslyde on my phase 4 do I need the Windage bracket and the bridge lock adapter? Or would I just need the Windage adapter if using the axel dovetail? Thanks
I had a Hamskea rest and switched to the QAD for the only reason was that you could adjust your arrow on the rest by just flipping it up. As far as paper tuning. Also I shot the 33 the other day at a shop and it had residue vibration on the shot like a tuning fork. I presently shoot a Mathew’s Chill R which is dead in the hand. The bow had a stab on it as well. I was unpleasantly surprised by that. Everyone raves about how dead in the hand the Phase 4 bows are. Is it possible that it wasn’t in tune?
Why haven’t they designed a bracket to allow you to slide the bar in backwards to be able to put the sight directly above the rest. Seems like a million dollar idea. Maybe I’m missing something. Thoughts?
Yes. I turned it up to max as well and promptly forgot. I can tell you I definitely remembered again when I went on to play the Josh and Tim podcast video! 🤬
A lot of people hate on this bow because Mathews has been using the same cams for a while… but it still competes with them all. I went with Bowtech for the easy tuning, but Mathews bows are awesome. Just make sure you so to a shop that measures your draw length right so you don’t need to go mod shopping
I never really got too ingrained in the bow culture until recently. Had a PSE bow madness growing up and now a Diamond Edge SB1...why would people hate Mathews? Is it like chevy v ford?
The only issue I have with this bow is that it has 4 limbs on top & bottom instead the 2 on like on previous models. As far as being a good bow. But as far as having to make adjustments to this bow on the fly you can not U have to press it and remove the Top Hats etc. Living out away from any bow shops 70 miles from the nearest this bow is out. Must have a bow that is easy to tune and that can be tuned on the fly.
Took my Mathew’s v3x 33 to my guy that builds my custom strings today. He said Mathew’s is by far the most solid way to tune a bow that (stays tuned). The top hat does require a bow press when he tuning my bow and he showed me all the other bow brands and how you tune them. He builds strings and cables for people all over the world, he had a bow from Hawaii and Alaska he just got in so he knows what he’s talking about. Simpler is not always better..
I had one. Their peeps are good but both the grip and the little covers for the drop away rest tore. The cover for the rest ripped in half when I tried to put it on. The grip ripped in half when I tried to remove it from the bow.
Great video, Hamskea Epsilon is not a well thought out rest in my opinion. it uses 5 different size screws to mount it and most are very poorly placed. Along with very limited adjustability for wind & elevation due to Hamskea not going with the Integrate attachment and having to work around it. Mounting system has three screws that could come loos. two of them require total removal of the rest if only one of them loosen and no way to check them when mounted on the bow . Sting stretch is ridicules and you will need tighten all over again once the string gets wet. But what do I know this is just my two cent thought
Mathews best bows on the market imo. My V3X 29 drives tacs. Just put on gas strings in flo orange wt gun metal servings and the total peep tech grip for mathews. Great grip. Thanks mfjj
I don’t think a beginner or even an couple year shooter that has maybe shot one bow for a couple of years could tell the new models blindfolded by the grip
I would subscribe twice if I could but I subscribed long ago thx for all the info.. just dont agree on arrows lol. I like heavy well 550 grains still fast and hits hard pulling 80#s

Dude i was thinking you forgot about this bow and just got hung up on the bowtech. Love this series and all your videos.
I really like how you're showing the different bow builds. Keep up the great work. You've helped me more than anyone else with Archery.
Love seeing you work all the way through a newer Mathews. Very easy to understand so it’s building my confidence to work on mine to be correct and save money. Thank you

Great content as usual. We are lucky to have this great shop in our area.
It would be cool to see Justin in PSE built video...
MFJJ made me fall in love with archery and currently trying to get my wife into it😂. I love these videos. Easy to understand and I feel like he is speaking to both experienced and new shooters.
Love the bow build videos no matter what the brand. I’ve shot High Country, PSE, Hoyt and currently Mathews. Keep up the great videos and tips!

Another very cool vid. Thanks for all you do.
Can’t wait for the video on tuning. I’m about ready to get a press to do my own work. Thanks
Can't wait for the top hat tuning run through. Mfjj always drops some knowledge!
At the end of your bow builds, would love to see all the bows compared to each other side by side.

So pumped for this view I have that exact same bow, upgraded a few months ago from my pse drive r
My buddy has an epsilon on his hoyt, he was getting contact with blazers and tac drivers .we took it to a very reputable shop they couldn't get it either . Lipstick on vanes will show it , or broadheads .now it's a good paperweight .
You need a washer underneath the launcher adjustment screw, new rests have them in there stock now
Thanks .
It would be cool to go through the whole Tophat kit and see how much each combination changes the tune/paper tear.
Subscribed!! But when will the noods drop?
MFJJ onlyfans! It’s what the people want!
Enjoy all of your tech videos but could you please include adjustments for lefthanded shooters as well especially when you are doing sight installs
Question for you ? If I want to put an axcel landslyde on my phase 4 do I need the Windage bracket and the bridge lock adapter? Or would I just need the Windage adapter if using the axel dovetail? Thanks
Did I hear that right? You can use the Hamskea limb cord bracket on the Phase 4.
You made me happy at 2:10.
When doing the comparison of bows when doing cost include the prices of all components for each bow.

I'd love to see a video on cam lean, like what's good bad so on.
Doesn’t seem like your mic was on. Low audio
Do you ever tie off your Hamskea to your yoke? My VXR and V3X are both tied to the yoke, and it works great.
My only question is how often those cowboy hats get worn?
Let the hate begin? I'm just happy to see another bow build out 😁
Why haven’t they designed a bracket to allow you to slide the bar in backwards to be able to put the sight directly above the rest. Seems like a million dollar idea. Maybe I’m missing something. Thoughts?
Why do you wax the serving thread?
Only issue is the volume level, I have at max and still have difficulty hearing you.
Yes. I turned it up to max as well and promptly forgot. I can tell you I definitely remembered again when I went on to play the Josh and Tim podcast video! 🤬
Why will you not build a Hoyt for any of the shoot offs??
What sight are you using on that phase4

Not half bad for a Bowtech biased 😂dude. Mohawk on point too.
Noticed in Tim's video the kid that. Chose the bow Tech was shooting a Matthew's.
When he first started I gave it to him as a loaner until he picked something.
Couldn't hear you, but as usual you built it in half the time it would take me.
I never really got too ingrained in the bow culture until recently. Had a PSE bow madness growing up and now a Diamond Edge SB1...why would people hate Mathews? Is it like chevy v ford?

It's a great piece of gear. It will killll.
What happened to the SS34 build?
Can't wait to get my phase4 29
At least you didn’t break that rest lol
I refuse to shoot a Phase 4 because I know it will lead to me wanting to buy one 😂
You should try a Total Peep tech grip
I had one. Their peeps are good but both the grip and the little covers for the drop away rest tore. The cover for the rest ripped in half when I tried to put it on. The grip ripped in half when I tried to remove it from the bow.
@@pennyontrack mines holding up so far I like it better than the rest of the ones I used
What kind of beard products you use?😂😂😂
Have you ever got it caught in the string?
Can you please get the volume up no hate ,I’ve just noticed a lot of your videos are very quiet.
You should shoot the omen instead of the fortis
It's wild how someone can be upset by a bow brand.
Best made bows, hands down. Let me hate 😅
Great video, Hamskea Epsilon is not a well thought out rest in my opinion. it uses 5 different size screws to mount it and most are very poorly placed. Must be bought and paid for unlike korbins archery un sponsored
I shoot an Oneida. Certainly I’m hated more. Lol
I own and shoot a hoyt, Matthew, and pse. Lol of +/- in each.
The audio very poorneed to use shotgun or wireless mic
The only audio that is good is the tight shots
Booooooooooo do another bow but a Mathews and a Bowtech. 😂
Mathews 👎👎👎
