Over the past 30 months I have been fortunate to own and shoot the following bows: V3 31 V3 27 V3X 29 V3X 33 Phase 4 33 Image Ventum 33 Ventum 33 Pro VTM 34 RX-7 Ultra Prime Black 3 Prime Black 5 Prime Inline 3 Prime Inline 1 Prime REVEX 4 Bowtech Solution SS Bowtech SS34 I know, that is a lot of bows, but legit I have owned all of those and shot them and sold most of them in Ebay or traded them at my local shop. The Bowtech SS34 is EASILY the best bow of this group and 2nd place is a distant second and that would be the V3X 33. I know, it is totally personal and different for all. I just wanted to share that as someone who has had a chance to really shoot a lot of bows - the SS34 is just incredible. Pros - smoothest draw with no competition, zero shock or vibe, Deadlock system is light years ahead of all other cam lean systems, solid velocity, very forgiving, highly accurate if you do your part, excellent and highly repeatable grip. Cons - crappy factory strings (serving separation on cables in less than 50 shots), no decent 2-piece quiver options, no integrated sight option. Thanks!
Hey Josh thanks for sharing something on a real personal level . My heart goes out to u sounds like u went through a real ruff patch funny how you really find out who your true friends are a lot of fair weather friends is what I call them . Love your guys message and love the vids keep them coming .
Glad to hear ya doing better after the dust settled, thats a helll of a stretch for anyone. Keep truckin brotha, hope theres much better times ahead after all those hardships
I value your knowledge and commitment to archery and the equipment we all use. Your understanding of how everything works together to cast a perfect arrow has changed my way of thinking. I was a serious bow hunter 25 years ago hunting elk in the rain forest of Washington's Hoe river near Forks. At that time I was shooting top of the line bows . Its been 20+ years since i have seriously and passionately shot 100 arrows a day. Watching your channel I appreciate your delivery and honesty about products and thank you for being a determining factor in helping me choose my next bow. Thumbs up to you and your channel!
Man, appreciate hearing what others are going through and that there is light at the end of the tunnel. As always, thanks for content that worth watching! Totally sarcastic, but worth noting, "Those who can't fish, golf."
Also, adjusting cam lean on a draw board at full draw... Now that is insanely cool! Then 3rd axis adjustment and adding in a twist directly after. I have never seen it done in that progression, but it makes so much sense!
Awesome to see MFJJ and Tim keeping us posted with new uploads. Any chance we could get an explanation on peep height? Especially when using slider/moving sights. I know you can adjust your peep height to the average distance your shooting when shooting longer ranges but I think myself and other archers would like to watch an explanation/demo of how it works. Mahalos MFJJ and gang😬🤙🏽 Edit: I commented instantly after the first minute and was clocking out of work. As I’m watching this at home…MFJJ Godspeed Bruddah! We appreciate you sharing these personal things which is life and looking forward to see you moving forward with positive energy! Mahalos! 🤙🏽
And nooo way Tim thats unreal lol woulda never guessed. Im golf and hockey obsessed along with archery and bow hunting. Been golfing and playing hockey since i was a little one, thats so crazy and awesome to hear 💪🏼
Awesome idea mfjj! Looking forward to the videos, bummer about the last few years but hopefully everything is going better for you man!! Hopefully 2023 is good to u
WOW! idk who you are yet but I am planning on going up there and hoping to start a relationship with you! I have also been through similar things and the last two years have been similar to yours! You seem like an amazing man! Thank you for all your free advice and showing people how humans should act! Praying for you two and your families!
MFJJ, you da man! The episode where you talked about your dad passing and this one with the D and family gave me much respect for you: had to be difficult and I trust you highly because of your ethics and honesty. Of course, you are the bow master! Really enjoy your logical explanations regarding archery and components. I have committed to upping my skills to improved arrow flight which ultimately shows with results and satisfaction. Keep on keeping on, brother!
I’m sorry you went thru that my friend I actually went thru something similar and since it happened I spend way more time shooting and in the woods as well to keep my mind at ease. But I absolutely love archery so it helps a lot. Side note you definitely find out who your friends are going thru a rough well you know. I live in Michigan and our local stores have Black Riffle Coffee I have a Dark Roast I’m trying now . 👌
Hey MFJJ . All content is fantastic. I really love that you and Tim are still doing things together. I have subscribed to both of your channels. Keep up the great content. I love how you keep things pretty simple . I wish I had this content when I started 12 years ago on my own . I made every single mistake possible and the cost associated with those mistakes. People don't understand how much information you guys are providing that they wouldn't even get in some bow shops. Keep it up !!!!
Great video and great chemistry between the two of you. Looking forward to the other builds and the comparisons. As always the hair do is rocking, but that comes from someone with a hair don't.
Darton veracity 35 is a build I would like to see! Ill echo what i have seen a few times here. Thanks for sharing your human side.. easy for people to forget that we only see a few minutes of people on the internet, and they have a whole life!
The beginning of this video should have been your first video podcast letting everyone get to know more about you and Tim. But that said, my vote for prime on the fourth. They also have an epsilon mount on their new bow
Man I was looking to buy that same bow used from a guy. Didn't get the money fast enough and it was sold.🤦♂️looking forward to see you shoot it! Really cool to get to now your more in that video. My sympathy to you Josh, also lost my dad a couple of months ago. A golf instructor!😮 That is so cool man! 👍Good stuff guy's, like the chemistry between you. 👌👊
Hi Josh. Thanks for a great setup talk through. I may have missed it, but could you do a specific episode on how you adjust the wheel lean on the Bowtech... using you best crayons. Tried it once... Greetings and thanks from South Africa
Good video. I would love someone to do a video on paper tuning bare bow VS a bow with a front bar and side bar to see the difference there is in hand torque and maybe even a fully rigged out freestyle setup with a long front bar and loaded up side bar. Also if there is a difference do you tune for the bars or stock.
Wish you would do a Mach 34 but I know you’ll pick the aluminum version to keep it all the same. Thanks for doing this, a lot of hard work on your end.
I don't think I'm understanding the process of adjusting the wheel lean. If you adjust the top cam until it points directly at the bottom cam, but then you have to adjust the bottom cam because it's WAY off...how is the top cam still going to be pointing at the bottom cam in just the right spot after making that large adjustment?
I would like Josh to do a video explaining the cam lean a little more. I am not sure why (maybe from TH-cam U where I have been learning from) but I don't think I have heard anyone say cams can be shimmed differently. I am pretty curious about this as I currently have my bow where the bottom cam is leaning, but the top is straight. I don't feel as though my paper tear is consistent.
Over the past 30 months I have been fortunate to own and shoot the following bows:

SS34 is definitely my favorite bow of 2023!
Appreciate all the work and time you put into your channel Josh and my condolences for your family losses ❤❤❤❤
Glad to hear that your bouncing back. Like watching you build all the bows and the detailed information you put into it. Learned a lot. Thanks
I love the bit of insight into your personal lives. Just a bit. Its non of our business, however I am glad you guys are doing good.

Now that is an awesome looking bow. I have to agree, that color is nice. Looking forward to see what's next.

Great build brother! I agree with the flat colors on the bowtech, phenomenal!!
My buddy just ordered mine. Can’t wait!
Great video! Very informative! That's why I went to SVA shop and bought me some TOYS! ALOHA!

This is going to be a fantastic video series!!!
I'm glad to hear you've bounced back and are on the other side of the grief that you went through! Also, you got me highly interested in Bowtech!
Great video and great chemistry between the two of you. Looking forward to the other builds and the comparisons. As always the hair do is rocking, but that comes from someone with a hair don't.
Stayed tuned for noods.. oh I mean the podcast 🤣🤙
Just bought that bow. 60# and love it smooth as can be
Josh Rocking the Mohawk I love it!
Darton veracity 35 is a build I would like to see! Ill echo what i have seen a few times here. Thanks for sharing your human side.. easy for people to forget that we only see a few minutes of people on the internet, and they have a whole life!
Love your content, great work as always. I'm new to archery and quickly becoming a fan of Bowtech!!! Keep up the great work please
Love the videos! Hope to see a PSE built out for the 4th bow! I have been shooting my PSE bow madness for 10 years now. That SS 34 has my eye though!
The beginning of this video should have been your first video podcast letting everyone get to know more about you and Tim.
But that said, my vote for prime on the fourth. They also have an epsilon mount on their new bow
I got that laser tool, and I absolutely love it. It's a real game-changer.
Me too. Mid build for my new bow right now. Laser will get some work tomorrow.
Best archery videos on the tube
Great video! Hope there is a follow-up that goes over your final tuning process for the SS34. Might be very educational to your community.
Josh, you’re the best 👏👏
Man I was looking to buy that same bow used from a guy. Didn't get the money fast enough and it was sold.🤦♂️looking forward to see you shoot it! Really cool to get to now your more in that video. Tried it once...
Greetings and thanks from South Africa
Love the content, I would like to see a deep dive how to in using the SpottHogg laser? Just picked one up and would love to know the tips and tricks.
Another great video. Would like to see one about that draw board you used
I would appreciate a video on the design of that press attachment that he made to set the axis. If you're willing to share lol
This video made my whole weekend, thanks for real life content. Really busted me
This will be good to watch. Some people claim to tinker and what not and will only shoot a Mathews.
Damn I really want to make the trip to your shop and have you set me up a bow.
Do you have any problems with a past parallel bow in the last chance press
Like the video. But you need wide angle lens to show what he is actually doing. Keep it up
Blastin' B Holes first shot. Impressive!
Lovin it man keep it up 👍
Love me some SS34..!!!
Keep moving forward, Josh. Shit will roll on. Also, maybe for the fourth bow, seeing as how you like longer ata bows--give Randy Kitts some love?
I like how Josh says point high instead of tail low. Old school :)
SS34 is a awesome bow! Really like it when I got the opportunity to shoot one.
Be interesting to see if you get serving separation with those Gas threads.
Great video
Will the aluminum limb pockets from the sx80 fit on the ss34?
So have you finally compared your builds yet with your personal setups? Appreciate the many builds but how did they do?
How much faster can you get the BT paper tuned by checking the lean at draw with a laser?
Do you set your center at 13/16 let ist sit and the rest come with the cam
The SS34 and Reckoning Gen2 36 are the two bows that get me most excited for the 2023 season!
Great video thank you
For a hunting purpose If you could choose between the Carbon One or SS 34 wich would you pick?
Golf is awesome!!
Tutorial on how he made the draw board????
Where are the other 3 vids for this series
Do you tie the Hamskea to the axle?
Excellent
I don't think I'm understanding the process of adjusting the wheel lean. If you adjust the top cam until it points directly at the bottom cam, but then you have to adjust the bottom cam because it's WAY off...how is the top cam still going to be pointing at the bottom cam in just the right spot after making that large adjustment?
What’s the thoughts on issues with bow tech limbs in the past?
You like the Dji mic system?
Do you ever bareshaft tune
Mach 34! Interested to see what you find out
Definitely the bow I’d buy this year! but can’t buy one every year
When does Bow 2 come out? The suspense is killing me! lol
Good info.
Maybe prime Revex 4 for the # 4 bow?
super pumped for this series, was kinda bummed we didnt happen last year. any thoughts of doing similar with the carbon bows?
Prime for the fourth bow!
lol that’s gangster.. i love the bow build videos
❤ josh. Head up king

I am pretty curious about this as I currently have my bow where the bottom cam is leaning, but the top is straight. I don't feel as though my paper tear is consistent.
You selling the ones that dont make the cut?
Why do you like limb driven rests so much ?
Please run the REVEX 4 would love to see you give it a fair shake.
What is the max draw?
