    U did a great job. It would be really nice to get as much rain as u have been getting back there Chris. We hear in oregon and California are drying up and now are on water consumption control. Yes it would be nice to have many days of some constant slow rain.

    It is always impressive that you can burn that much brush that fast and it's always awesome to see those big old fires and I am really surprised let that jug and bucket just don't spontaneously go up like the little tree in the back I really enjoy watching you burn must be my inner pyromaniac hahah

    I guess it depends on what your doing with the property as a former owner of 83 acres I've burned a lot of wood to get rid of it as I look back I could have just put it to the edge of the property it breaks down quite rapidly

    Not at all he’s doing a wonderful job of clearing That’s what people with homesteads should do, if you got the right tools it makes all the jobs you want to do much easier and faster, I like watching him felling trees looks so easy and quick using an excavator, lifting also no problems

    We have a major highway project going on in our area and as I drove by recently setting near a huge burn pile was the remains of a big Cat Excavator that had got to close to a burn pile. A lesson in not getting to close to the fire.

      Well I live in southern oregon right now and there putting signs out telling u to not use water unless it is really needed because we are drying up just like u in cali. So in my opinion unless u know what ur talking about don't compare. I've lived in both places and I've been in both places when the fires came raging there and no it's not fun and it's very devastating. All I'm saying is in my opinion don't compare oregon to California or California to Oregon. It sucks either way.

    Chris you need a long reach to be able to get your fires up into the clouds.
    I think you were just touching the bottom of the clouds on this fire.

    Until the time comes that you your own dump trucks, do you see it being practical to get a dump trailer to pull behind the skid steer.
    That could be both your on and off road truck to start out with
    I remember the old days of your using the military dump truck
    Dump trailers can haul more than that was able to move.
    Load brush and haul it that quarter mile vs pushing it. A dump trailer and grapple load each trip I think would move it pretty well

      Yes, Chris has started Volvo on fire once, because his hose got hot. He got it put out quickly without to much damage.

      hydraulic hose will not melt .. but it can burn.. It is typically an inner liner, with reinforcement (stainless wire is common) along with elastomers or other materials to protect the insides.. fluid going through the hose actually provides some cooling help.. just do not want it left in extreme heat for extended periods .. fixed a lot of these over the years.. heat will degrade that outer cover over time

    Please, all we get to know about our ancestors 100k+ years ago are based on hard evidence from excavations. It would help, if you could time to time drown an excavator @ pond project.... I know, @ start it sounds bad, but if you drill a sticker with your name and year of "placement", I bet you will be winner @ future post grad.... all cause of a lost excavator 🙂 BTW: paying my bills as a sw dev, but Fooooooock, totally hooked to your channel - you start rough landscaping, but @ end you give it the final touch and that is art ❤️
