Hats off to the bakeries that tried to make you into a 3d cake. They may not look like you but that must be SO hard to do! 👏
and actually, i think, the third bakery tried to match the filling with the hair, as fair-headed people actually do sometimes look a bit green in pictures, and they made somewhat close as possible colors in filling
I love this community so much, everyone is so respectful and supportive! It really must’ve taken so much effort to do!

Having said that, I could never for the life of my execute anything close to this. I do 3D sculpt characters from time to time and it's not easy.

The 3rd cake is impressive. It is so hard to render a 3D cake image . The details ….. I’m still trying to figure out how they did the mouth. I’m impressed.
I’m with you…that was my favorite, but…
I didn’t like the hair at all, though the face details kinda made up for it.
It could’ve been even better with a fuller face, it’s too narrow, and the necklace, which would be easy to replicate.

I do prefer the third 3D cake.. the easel though. Amazing. I saW the texture like a canvas and they definitely thought about the process of the cake. Nice details.

#1 totally not what you asked for. #2 made you look like you just came in from a rain storm. #3 looked the most like you and was exactly what you asked for minus the necklace. #4 this one got the soul of you with a good likeness and the necklace. They must know you. This one is my favorite.
The first baker **definitely** thought you were a witch, and that's the theme they were going for. They saw purple hair and the crescent shape of the necklace overlaying itself, and said "I got you, Broom-Hilda!"

The $700 cake really nailed it, and it wasn't creepy which I think is really hard to get when making humans in art.
The third one was definitely the best. The last one was really creative but the 3rd was more detailed.
The last two would be difficult to chose which one. I'm going to have to give it to #3. As cool as the painted one is, the time and detail in the bust is pretty freaking amazing.
The "easel painting cake" is the most creative and out the box, a very interesting interpretation of the concept.
The third cake is the "closest" to the brand.
That second cake is just plain bizarre, like they gave you huge shoulder pads and made you into a big square-man

If you paid 350 and got the first one I feel like you'd feel cheated. We can't expect it to be like the 700+ ones but they just got a regular occasion cake and put a printed photo on, which was the exact thing you said not to do. If I turned up to collect that for an event I'd be gutted!
Right?? At bare minimum of you're going to go that way, maybe use flowers that match her hair. Definitely not just gives me vibe son's going into the grocery store and picking one of them randomly pre-made cakes to stick an edible image onto
As a portrait artist, these are all terrifying 😂 I wonder what an artist could create with cake tools- like painting with food colouring. Would be very interesting to see if they could pull it off!
Yeah sorry none of these actually look like her lol I prefer the 4th one just because it was so creative. The 3rd one showed the most skill of the two that were 3D and I definitely respect this isn’t easy to do anyway. The first one was like they had a cake ready and just stuck her picture onto it.
The 4th one was painted with food coloring.

I was just thinking about clay or sand sculptures working on cakes. I hope someone with a large platform advertises the challenge
First cake, didn’t even try. That was sad. Second gave me Sims vibes. Third was great! Last one was being so creative within knowing what your limits are.
I think everyone put a lot of effort but the 3rd cake is by an amazing artist, they went those extra miles. They obviously care about details and have the skills to make it special.
I wish you guys would collaborate with sidesserf cake studio- if she was to do this challenge she would have nailed it- she is a great cake artist

On the second one, I like how they tried to get the silveriness of your hazel eyes! That was probably my favorite thing about that one.
On the third one, I thought the hair was a pretty creative approach, and that one does look more realistic than anything else.
The fourth one is probably my favorite because the creativity of their execution, as well as the flavor of cake, we're both just very attractive to say the least. I mean, ferrero rocher? Delicious! The whimsical fairy in the Woods vibe that they decorated it with was a really interesting approach.
The $700 cake was such a creative take on the challenge.

I love the watercolor one. You don't see that kind of cake. The color's were beautiful. My favorite for sure.
The first 3D cake looked like an animation from MTV’s Celebrity Death Match and the second 3D cake looked like an animation from the movie Monster House! 😂
OH MY GAWWWDDDD!!! Yes! That first 3D FOR SURE looked like something off of Celebrity Death Match!! That’s amazing! Lol. Props to anyone attempting a 3D cake. I can’t even imagine the stress!!!
As a painter, I have to go with the canvas art one. It's beautiful and it really does capture you better than the others.
Since you are the icing artist I feel like the easel cake was the most on point. It was a fun play on what you are. ❤️

I’d love to see you make your version/what you would expect after showing the bakeries versions & giving them critiques.
The 3rd cake was most life-like, and it shows whoever made it knows how to sculpt, not just cakes, but to sculpt in general. It's not quite your spitting image, but it looks like a real human being, and I love how they did the hair. I love how whimsical the last cake is, but it was probably easier to make than the 3rd cake, since it's technically just an uncarved sheet cake on an easel. It's beautiful, and by the sounds of it, tasty, but I can't say which of the two is better.
The first cake looks like they had a pretty cake with red roses, and they customized it by printing the photo and adding the most random floof of feathers to kinda match your hair. Or, the cake artist is colourblind, and for them red = pink. It's pretty, but not quite what was asked.
The second cake is a great effort, but the artistry is not quite there. Carving a human face, even a generic one, is super tricky, and this didn't quite reach the real human level. But it's still super hard to make.
You should do this challenge with side-surf cake studio!
It’s crazy to see the variances in peoples interpretations of what you ask for… 🤯 kinda makes me never want to get a custom cake ever due to these vids haha I mean unless you were to make it of course!

The $800 cake is my favorite. You’re “The Icing Artist” and they nailed that!! Plus you said the flavor was your favorite.
Also the Flavour of this Cake is so awesome, it looks super delicious and moist, I love Matcha Raspberry, So Yummy! I think that the 3rd 3D cake looked the most like you. Sculpting a head and features out of cake must have been so difficult - kudos to the bakers!
The last cake was sooo creative and well thought out!
2 and 4 need to remember that if you show the entire iris of the eye it will look creepy and possessed. 3 was definitely my favorite. 1 made you into a flamenco dancer for some reason? Haha
As a pastry chef that does a lot of fondant cakes myself I loved the last one, the details and the dedication that took to do something like that is amazing, yes carving a cake in any compicated shape like a face is hard but I appreciate creativity way more.
I love these videos. I always come to watch the I paid Bakeries to bake me. I LOVE LOVE LOVE THEM. but it would be a tad expensive to do them every day. Lol. I paid a bakery £81 for a delicious BB-8 two tier cake. it was so yummy.
They are really neat to look at, and a lot of work went into them.... But after seeing this, I hope no one ever makes a cake version of my face.
Omg can you imagine how awkward it would be? Someone presents you with a terrifying effigy of you made out of fondant and you have to smile and pretend you’re not dying inside. 😂

The last one with you on the canvas is a work of art. Seriously have never seen anything in cake format that is a portrait of a person that looks so much like them. Just phenomenal for 800. Id price it at 1500 and put it in a museum.
I prefer the last one the most. While the third is good as well, the last one caught me off guard in the best possible way. It feels like when an art student is asked to make a self portrait, but it’s also multi medium! Honestly reminds me of my high school days.
We had a project in HS to sculpt our own bust. The back of the head was hollow, and I remember wanting to take mine home and create a mine with gems and a minecart inside the bust of my head! I never did it, but this last cake reminds me of the spark of creativity I got in imagining my little mine.❤

The photo cake is easily the looser. With the head cakes the one for an extra $10 is giving so much more. The art cake is actually what I was expecting from the original concept. I think it goes worst to best in the sequence you filmed & with the prices. All of them were perfectly good cakes to buy but it’s a competition

The way the raspberry matcha one matched the hair and the eye color on the inside with the flavor was an insane level of detail. All the other ones I was like wtf why did they pick that flavor but the raspberry matcha was literally the flavor of the inside of your head 😂
The last one was actually beautiful. 3&4 both deserve a win, both got you in very different ways, but "you" none the less!!
The last one is absolutely worth the price. It was artistic, original and tasteful, I loved that one so much and the cake itself as you cut into it and I saw the texture of the sponge I knew it was going to be good, I could tasted here, lol.
The third one is more realistic. It is hard to do a cake that looks like a real person, so I feel like they did a great job. I love the artistic rendition too!
Can we get a video with this same Challenge but they make Kevin’s Face.. I think that would be hilarious to watch his reaction to himself.

I really like that $350 cake and it's much closer to what I think I could achieve on a small scale but I really really wish that they had put hot pink roses or flowers on it instead of the red ones...maybe hot pink camelias with darker glossy green leaves? That beautiful pink hair with the black top would really pop with that colour combo.
I applaud the bakeries that attempted 3D! It's so difficult unless sculpting like that is your specialty

I liked the second to the last one, that is the best I've seen as far as an image, so realistic, I'm so impressed with it.
I’m not sure if you’ve done this but have you seen the gelatin cakes?? They’re like cake covered in a thin layer of gelatin with flowers inside! You should try to make one if you haven’t yet
The last one is the most creative, even though the drawing isn't perfect. This is risky so I'm surprised these bakeries were confident enough to go for it, despite drawing and sculpting maybe not being their forte (as opposed to... baking and decorating). The third one was really good, knowing how difficult 3D cakes can be. It didn't look exactly like you but it nailed the realism. Knowing that there's only a $10 difference, the second one feels like a joke. Stylizing is a super good idea but it wasn't done well imo.
As for the first... they didn't do what you asked for.

The last one looks like you more than the third one. 3rd is good for what it is but the 4th is on another level. Its stunning
Although I prefer 3 & 4 I feel like 2 suffered by being compared to those, I've seen other cake comparisons where 2 would have won. A 3D head would be so hard to do, I feel like most bakeries would struggle. So qudos to the decorators in all 3 of those bakeries.

I love love love that last cake! It's absolutely gorgeous and so creative ❤ however for what you wanted and the coolest idea was 2 and 3 of the actual 3d head of you. But my absolute favorite was #3 they made it look the most like you and minus the necklace 😂 it's the best one. Great and realistic also actually looks almost like you. Love it❤❤❤❤❤
That last cake was the best, but you should really have Natalie Sideserf or Sideserf Cake Studio here on TH-cam make a cake of you. She is an incredible artist and I know she will make a cake that looks just like you. If anyone else agrees like this comment?🙋🏼♀️
3rd wins in my eyes. Because it has a lot more detail and the painted one comes second because while it is hand-painted it kind of looks a bit off on the chin and eyes, but that doesn't make it bad.

You are so lovely about all of them, but those bakeries need to step it up. (or say, oh, we'd like to do it, but we don't have that caliber of artist on staff right now".

Wow, I honestly thought they really brought it with that challenge. 1st cake could've stepped it up with flavoring choice and doing your face instead of printed image but decorations were gorgeous. 3rd cake went above and beyond with trying to sculpt you. Last was super amazing art. ❤
