this was supposed to be a “clean with me” video but my ADHD had other plans

  • I've been needing to clean up my studio for weeks now, and today is finally the day. I have put it off for FAR too long, so would you mind being my body double? This started out as my attempt to make a "clean with me" type of video that was calm and straight-forward...but things took a hard left when I found an old pregnancy test that send the rest of the day into a bit of chaos.
This might not be the most helpful "clean with me" video you've ever watched on youtube, but it is eventful. Things got clean. Lost items were found. Urgent care was visited.
It's truly all happening here in these 18 minutes. 😂
    Just keep hitting singles.
    Love you! ♥

I’m doing the best I can as I learn! I used to post them online when my social media was simply just my friends and family who saw my content. But as my platform grew, suddenly I became aware of how wide and far content can go once it’s posted. It’s pretty scary when you know the ins and outs of how content travels online.

As a Starbucks barista, I will say, you can’t get cold brew as decaf. so the only way that we can make that drink decaf and as similar as possible is to make a decaf iced Americano. We would still be able to add the syrup and the foam on top! Hope this helps!

I actually learned all about it when you announced you weren't showing your kids anymore awhile back. It's super cool to see someone else cleaning like I do, needing a tv show on and making "cleaning piles" in bags. I feel like it takes years before I go through them. Sometimes they go in closets. Sometimes they just become Mount Stuffalus. And consequently when I do get to them it creates even more "wow i didn't know i had that" side quests. I'm such a failure at cleaning, and it creates a lot of problems, but this video warms my heart for showing a true adhd experience and is probably my favorite one of yours.

But the barista suggested that the dupe for the cold foam cold brew was an iced americano with the cold foam/other add ins because the espresso can be decaf, but the cold brew cannot.

‘I will take longer doing something if it means I can get to it quicker” - OMG thank you for putting that into words! I once walked two hours to get home instead of turning back to my friends house (10 minutes away) and ask them for a ride because I felt like it would take too much time but somehow the 2 hours wouldn’t???

I love the dissection of the coffee drink! Cold brew is like steeped right and then I know Americana is made with an espresso base and coffee so maybe the character just likes the espresso flavor profile more than a cold brew profile!

I appreciate you sharing yourself and your very human quirks with us. It really helps me to feel like I'm not alone. I talk to anything and everything, especially if it doesn't talk back. I admire that you protect your family's privacy, as much as humanly possible, especially when you are a social media icon, such as yourself. You are doing an amazing job at being so many things to so many people. But, the job you seem to take most seriously is Mom and Wife. That's the most important thing. You have a beautiful family. Thank you so much for all that you do!
I must say I agree with your Croc assessment...they are NOT FOR ME! If you ever catch me with a pair on, something is VERY WRONG! Alert the authorities!

Yeah, I feel that. But when I'm cleaning I have to listen to music or something without images because the need to watch is too strong in me. Even if it's something I've watched before, I have to know everything that's going on. I might catch something, I didn't the first two playthroughs. Watching this makes me feel like I really need to go check myself for adhd.

Elyse! I just watched your agoraphobia shopping video and I’m so happy for you! I haven’t gotten an on record diagnosis because I feel like I’m unable to talk to anyone but my old therapist rn (who talks to me off record but no longer takes my insurance) and she says I have agoraphobia! I’ve been struggling so bad with it since 2022. a lot had happened long before then, but in 2022 I had my son (which was a blessing and is the reason I’m still here) but had an emotionally chaotic and also high risk pregnancy. barely left my house for the last 2 years, and I truly view everytime I do leave my house as a victory. A lot of people don’t understand us or why it’s so hard but I get it and I’m so proud of all the things you’re doing rn!❤️🥺 (also I freak out about being pregnant all the time and I haven’t even been “active” in months

    Yes
I have to say this is very relatable
I once made a Mindmap of all the things that impact me out of Post-its that I cut in circles
After I was done I wanted to clean but instead I was mesmerized by how the cutoffs looked and thought "I can make a craft out of these snippets"
So I then started sketching and creating the background layers. Only to make more paper snippets that I then made a separate craft for...
In the end I did clean the cutoffs and made a pretty craft with them but it took 5h 😅
