      I LOVE THIS! Norway is very antisocial, so be aware of that. But you will love it and be blown away by the scenery. I am very happy that you’re doing this and going through your journey of self discovery, you won’t regret it.

      Best of luck, about the anti-social part, It's a bit of a stereotype, but most agree, I tend to explain it as: "We're sort of like an egg, you got to crack our shell to get to the good stuff."
      Most ways Norwegians crack eggs is with drinks, sometimes a lot of drinks, usually happens at every weekend.
      Other ways are of course through activities, hobbies and interests, it's easy to ease up when you are equally interested in something and expand from there.
      Then you will start knowing friends of your friends, you of course know the drill, hope this was of some help.

      @@hnnhknu Hehe yeah I can see your view. We norwegians seem antisocial. Like if there are seats free on a bus or train, you better not choose a seat besides someone :-D It is not because we are rude, we just are very used to our own personal space. But if you ever need help, if you are lost or whatever, do not be afraid to ask. Most of us will try our best to be of help :-)

CAN YOU SEE THE WRITING ON THE WALL??, THAT BABYLON AKA AMERICA IS ON THE BRINKS OF COLLAPSE. THE UNITED STATES IS GOING TO FALL FROM WITHIN. THIS IS ANOTHER FACT TO TELL YOU IF YOU ARE NOT FAMILIAR WITH THIS, AND THAT IS AMERICA IS NOT JUST THE UNITED STATES BUT THE ENTIRE WESTERN HEMISPHERE WHICH CONSISTS OF NORTH AMERICA AND SOUTH AMERICA. That would be $200,000 each; the fund (which cannot invest in Norway) exceeds $1,000,000,000,000.
    With >50% of new cars being electric, the tax exemptions will be faded out as it has been proposed that sellng NEW petrol/desel cars should be banned from 2025 (it'll be a bit later than that) but will come.

    • @BubbleBOB1989

      @@hnnhknu Any investment made with the yearly proceeds of the oil fund is made to further increase Norway's payout and increase their influence (mainly through stocks, bonds and commodities), basically Norway is investing in the rest of the world to build a large enough yearly backpay so they can quit their dependence on oil one day, a backpay which is operating independently from Norway's own economy. Couple of rules with this investing tho: Norway will not, out of principle, invest in ventures like weapon- and arms manufacturers, tobacco companies or other oil companies, and they will not invest money into the country of Norway itself - not for the backpay anyhow. Any investment made into Norway itself is not handled like a business investment, they are not investing with the expectation of getting payed back on the percentages - money that goes into the country itself is in the form of economic relief packages, social structure reinforcement and public spending, but only by an on need basis - this is made with the top proceeds after all, the "extra" amount that was not necessarily calculated for, but a happy accident on top of the quarterly income, which is not touched in any sense but injected straight into the fund itself, becoming "rainy day money" in a sense xD but ye, while Norway invests in a shitton of companies around the world, owning around a 1.5 -2 % of all listed equities in the world, it does not in fact invest in the same manner in their own country ;3

    • @hnnhknu
      @hnnhknu  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@BubbleBOB1989 Thank you frost viking hahah, well explained and I understood it very clearly :) what do you think with this kind of investing? It sounds just like the how Norway is close to 100% newable energy using vannkraft but selling must of it out of the country and we’re still having to pay ridiculous prices for strøm? What? Can we benefit a little bit from all the goodness? Not even trying to be greedy but how is fuel more expensive in Norway but cheaper in Sweden when Norway sells it to them? And the bigger question is who’s the one on top having all this money if everyone involved is having to pay ridiculous rates?

    • @BubbleBOB1989
      @BubbleBOB1989 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@hnnhknu In terms of the investing, I think it is a very smart move to give little Norway a bigger voice in terms of influencing the world, and the fact that this international investment gives payoff independently of Norway's own economy means that Norway doesn't have to solely rely on one or the other - it gives them more options.. As for the power situation I think it is a faulty risk calculation with alot of shifting variables, like selling power is great when A. you have a big surplus, B. an effective way to stockpile or reproduce it and C. when its not going to negatively affect your own population - but in this case we have sorta missed all 3 points really. Now the power companies and the government might not have seen our water magazines being as dry as they are and with little rain we have had, but the whole of Europe is sort of going through a bit of a power freakout atm, so its not like Norway gets full value for the power they sell, and the people are the ones stuck with a slowly but surely increasing bill to cover the middleground, which sucks for everyone involved.. Though Norwegians are luckier than most with that the government can and will step in if things gets too ridiculous, its just a matter of deciding where that line goes, which alot of Norwegians are disagreeing with the government on sadly.

    • @hnnhknu
      @hnnhknu  2 ปีที่แล้ว

This book contains a lot of useful tips on how to learn a foreign language for tourists, students, entrepreneurs and anyone who needs a foreign language in life. There are a lot of good tips on how to solve problems with the language from beginner to advanced level of language learning. It turns out that the traveler only needs to know a few dialogues and you can easily travel around the world! You don't have to spend a lot of time to fully learn a foreign language, you just need to learn what you can use when you travel. I wish everyone exciting travels!

You can't herd cats and you can't herd Norwegians, but you can lead by example if you're one of them. When there was an oil crisis, King Olav V took the tram to go skiing, because he didn't want to take the risk of being seen as elite. Most kings _want_ to be elite, it's the fun of being king. In most places, an anarchist would sacrifice his life to kill the king, but in Norway, most anarchists would risk their lives to protect the king. That is because our king is not our ruler, but our servant. It's in all aspects of our society, but if you want to understand it, you should spend some time listening to different versions of «Mellom bakkar og berg», which is my personal choice of Anthem of Norway. :)
      You might also want to learn about the first Norwegian welfare system, born in 1620, before the birth of the father of Capitailsm and the father of socialism. We are much more original, much more radical than people give us credit for.
      I would say, we earned our pride as vikings and now we're really pragmatic because we have what we need.

      Racism is everywhere so why let it hinder you anyway. Certain Norwegians mainly I’d say are just ignorant. Not enough knowledge about people outside of their borders so a lot of them are just curious or do not want to know anything different from what they’re used to. But majority are really open, helpful and very nice 😊

      Not anymore I’ve gotten to know a lot of Africans in my area now, just need to get out there, mingle and you’ll find them :) what I didn’t realise is that Norway is quite multicultural now due to their willingness to help refugees and those who were in unbearable conditions in their countries. Thankful for that 🙏🏾

      @@ReginaldKSon: We're sort of isolated people by nature. We tend not to establish contact without purpose, except in The Nature. If you feel different, then you might interpret that to have something to do with it. But to give you an example, I remember sitting on the bus in 1999, a Danish man sat next to me, and as he was having a candy, he offered me one as well. I was 19 at the time, so it wasn't anything like that. It's a nice thing to do, but to me, it was a huge culture shock, because it's something you just don't do. But it's a _weakness_ of Norwegian society, it's a social awkwardness, it's not at all hostility and if you try to break the ice, I think you'll find most Norwegians very friendly.
      But of course, there are racists. They are very few and we have very little tolerance for it. A few days ago, there was a terrorist attack in Oslo, against a gay pub. There are bad people everywhere.

If it means something, my family ties to Norway goes back so far, nobody has been able to figure out _how_ far. The family tree goes back to the 1500s, but DNA says at minimum a thousand years. Point is, I guess Steve James thinks that makes me a supreme Norwegian. So let me use that supremacy to say that I'm glad you're here, that I wish you well and that I hope you'll stay. As for Steve James, all I can say, as a Supreme Norwegian, is that I hope he stays very well away from here.
