This video was excellent. Not a lot of useless jabbering. She pretty much stuck to the task at hand, and moved at a nice pace that let you follow closely. She was easy to understand. Really helped me a lot. I am doing a ceiling, but a small area -- the top of the stair well. So, I should not have a problem with the arms getting tired, as the pieces will not be longer than 6 feet or 4 feet depending on which direction I go. What I take from this is not to be shy with the paste. I hung my walls with paste and put a coat on the paper and a coat on the wall. Double work, but wanted to make sure, and the paper ended up with a fantastic bond. I had good slippage to line the paper up, as I had so much paste. Considering the cost of some papers, paste is cheap, so I do not skimp. So glad I found this video. Just needed that extra push to make me try the ceiling.

Excellent. I like the star cut technique and the suggestion to align the edge to the middle of the rose is very handy. I hope it will be as straightforward as you make it look when I come to do it! Wish me luck!

Done quite a lot of papering over the years but avoided ceilings like the plague, i love the tip on the ceiling rose as i have 3 fittings and i didnt want the hassle of taking them down, great video and definately the most attractive ceiling tutorial i've seen 😁 thanks

tried papering a ceiling once ( and got in over my head -lol) I didn't know about the "cruch". Fortunately my neighbor and her daughter were home and came and helped me and I got the job done. ( the paper design was like looking up through tree leaves at blue sky and light clouds )

I use a utility snap it gives a fine cut. Going around lights its easier than scissors. With scissor you need to pull of then it tears .i just use spactular cut gently job done

These videos are for L1 learners as an introduction into Basic painting & Decorating techniques. They use shears in L1 , then blades in L2 . This is to allow them time to cut correctly with shears

You should be able to paper around a ceiling rose and come from left to right if that was a patterned paper your in trouble and we call it a jocky❤

Great . What if you have 2 ceiling roses . Like a big lounge. And they don't measure up to equally to paper edge . Ie one does the other doesn't. Now what ?

That’s ok, you can use a full star cut instead of a half star cut
