More gun rolls while I work on getting my Hunter's Strand fragments unlocked. Was gonna go up yesterday, but I just did not heart to upload or do much of anything really.
Of all the guns from this season, I'd say Regnant is probably the number one most popular to go collect and I'd try to prioritize that one the most, even if GLs aren't doing anything super crazy right now in raid damage world. I'd then go both special weapons after that, then dealer's choice after that.

I havent played in awhile just cus Bungie has been taking L after L but it makes me want to redownload the game just to honor him the the tower with fellow guardians. R.I.P.

The Heavy GL with Envious Assassin x Explosive Light is absolutely amazing! 14-16 Grenades in one go! My friend is arguing to anyone that'll listen haha, that Cascade Point is the way to go because you can pump out the Grenades way faster.
Edit: Voltshot is really good on Strand-Lock! Especially with Necrotic Grips, hit a big enemy with the Voltshot then a poison melee & they run around wrecking the trash!
I think envious + cascade point is the way to go if your only concern is the DPS of the weapon... I still haven't tried the roll and not sure just how many shots you can empty out before cascade point goes away, but the potential DPS is really good on that roll. However, I think most content benefits more from explosive light... it results in more total damage, it makes the weapon better for adclearing should you need it, it has a better ammo economy. The only place it looses to cascade point is probably in really short burst DPS scenarios, we're talking like 5 second DPS phases and I don't know how many of those we have...
@@Kriss_941 My thoughts exactly! Templar as an example you can pick up orbs during the DPS phase haha.
@@pirate_duck4985 Also think cascade point + auto-loading can be pretty solid given the right context. Say you have an autoloading special weapon like a sniper you'd probably be able to just go back and forth between the two. Or if you need to just extend your DPS a bit more than the 5 second window you could pair it with something like a cloudstrike, empty out the cloudstrike, swap to the GL and dump 14 shots in a few seconds...

@@pirate_duck4985 Guess it would maybe work better with something like double slug since snipers aren't especially strong atm. and if cascade lasts long enough to empty all your ammo then why not just have envious assassin I guess... hard to tell if it's really worth it or not...

Envious Assassin/Incandescent is really good for sunspot focused Titan builds. Scorch damage kills across multiple targets spawns a sunspot at the recently defeated targets location and if running Phoenix Cradle, provides Sol Invictus for you and allies
For the breach-load gl I really like the envious and voltshot build because it feels like it can serve two purposes. It’s a good swap gl with multiple shots and you also get the benefit of being able to use it as a mob clear weapon with voltshot. While the two perks don’t work together well in a synergy sense of the word, they work well together to give the gun multiple uses at one time.
When you pair up envious assassin with this gl it wastes ammo and wasting the damage bonus voltshot gives off and reckon it'll become better at ad clearing and dps without envious assassin. I think this gl relies onto it leaning into an arc build where being amplified with arc reloaders on makes the weapon reload insanely fast. you can also give it a reload masterwork as well as noble deeds coming into play and being able to boost its reload speed further with the artifact mod that boosts its origin trait. On top firing it and reloading fast and dealing more damage and better ad clear you can replace envious with lead from gold to gain more ammo. I get your point tho but I personally see envious as a hindrance rather then it being good to have on the weapon

Duelist’s trance is GREAT on swords, your charged heavy attack comes back ~20% faster while you keep the sword out
repulsor brace + destabilizing rounds is also a neat combo for getting the overshield
I know!! No one seems to be talking about this and it has become a staple in my Void Warlock build!
I have both of these enhanced, and it works beautifully with my Gyrfalcons.
Energy transfer on the sword is pretty decent for a strand build considering how strong class abilities are on strand.

For Caretaker, I firmly believe the roll of Energy Transfer and Incandescent is a god-tier combo, unironically. The fragment that lets you get class ability energy when scorching (I forgot the name… Searing?) in combination with this can give you back your whole class ability SUPER quick in a pinch. Kill an enemy, spread scorch and start blocking for a very quick barricade for Loreley builds or a Warlock Rift. Could especially work wonders in higher difficulty activities where getting your class ability back quickly can be crucial. This sword thankfully doesn’t have to be used offensively, but also defensively.
Could also be very nice for suspend spam hunter builds.

I use something like this with the Stasis sword from Dawning for a Stasis rift with Vesper of Radius and the second perk Cold Steel. Rift energy while blocking and surrounded and slowing/freezing targets generating shards and gaining damage resist before dropping a Warlock Glow-Deuce on a group of soon to be shattered ads? Yes please.

Raconteur honestly reminds me of a certain bow i had when i started my journey on destiny 2, No Turning Back, it had threat detector and explosive payload and it was the only weapon i used for a while before it got sunset, im happy that this is here since it has some of my favorite perks (shoot to loot and explosive).

Heavy GL is what I rushed trying to get and I can't take it off. Crafted envious and explosive is sooo good. And getting orbs and having it also apply volatile rounds is nice.

Destabilizing rounds is fantastic on that new wave frame GL
Prodigal return is one of few weapons with turnabout in the third column, and it seems to activate when breaking a shield with voltshot. I think that combo with disorienting makes this the best endgame blinding GL

Envious Assassin is nuts on the heavy GL, with Spikes & Explosive Light. I pair it with Wavesplitter for the quick and easy multikills.. 12 (or more) in the mag at all times is fantastic for a heavy GL, especially after the recent buffs.
@Datto Just a recommendation, but have you checked out wavesplitter this season? It's savage!
Envious Assassin on Perpetualis pairs great with an Ambitious Assassin+Chain Reaction Forbearance. I have had it flow upto 90 in the mag.
And let’s be honest.. if you have that forbearance;I always have that baby equipped, or about to be 😆

Not sure if still the case, but the heavy gl could be repeatedly pulled from collection with different rolls every time
Another roll that catches my eye on Prodigal Return is Envious Assassin + Harmony, get some kills with other weapons to load extra grenades and then when you swap those grenades deal 20% more damage, could probably put in some really good burst damage if you run Spike Grenades as well instead of Disorienting Grenades.
I would like to see/try an envious assassain cascade point roll on the HGL. I feel like it's going to have some great burst damage potential
The bow with wellspring/headstone could be awesome for generating abilities if wellspring will proc off kills from shattering a headstone crystal but I doubt it will.
Valiant charge is REALLY good in pvp with strongholds. Kind of niche, but within that niche there is no better perk.
Sure, if you are willing to tank damage, but why not just eager edge and get it over with?
@@smakadragon eager edge has a cool down and only works once. If you have valiant charge, you can parry an attack, get that kill, parry another attack and heal due to strongholds, and then be able to valiant charge again with no cooldown and without making yourself vulnerable swapping weapons. Eager edge can’t chain kills as easily but you don’t need to be shot for it to work. With eager edge you can run away or engage, but valiant charge is built for chaining kills with strongholds. Depends on what you want to do, but both are good.

I love the pregananant reference. None of my friends got it when I said that. So far, my bow and heavy GL dropped with my god rolls first time. Never had that happen before. It does make me want to craft it even more though. I was using my MG for a long time because it had keep away and golden tricorn, but the HGL has been edging it out.

For the sword flash counter valiant charge is a combo stronghold titans can use in pvp, if you get it and like strongholds keep it
I only need 1 more pattern, the auto rifle.
For the first two weeks I just focused the random defiance weapons for 1 engram. Every ten engrams I'd go to helm and spend them all. Seeing as at the time I needed ALL of the weapons and I'd tend to get a red border every 3 or 4 engrams I ended up with nearly all of them at 3 or 4/5 and was able to finish up all but auto rifle this week
I love Datto's sword strat lmao, I have a similar wongoi-boingo style.
Repulsor brace and destabilizong rounds with the artifact perk that gives heavy on void ammo kills basically garuntees 100% up time on overshield and 50% dr
For the bow I'll be trying wellspring + pugilist for my melee builds, monte carlo is my usual go-to but it means I don't have an exotic heavy
If you are going for a single target damage gl dont you want to decrease your blast radius as much as possible since it is increasing your impact damage?
Pregananant is actually good with Explosive Light and Repulsor Brace if you're running a Gyrfalcon Hunter. I run it with velocity since with Explosive Light it maxes out the blast radius. This would allow you to do lots of damage to bosses and for everything else, Repulsor Brace will kick in. Hunters have dodge reload or can just reload while invisible to stay safe.
Gyrfalcon Hunter is just about the only build where you DON'T want Destabilising Rounds due to you ALREADY having 100% uptime on Volatile anyway, why waste a perk slot?

If you take backup mag over boss spec on a spike nade regnant with envious and explosive you get your entire reserves in chamber, regardless of how many reserve mods you have. I got 18.

Duelist's Trance yet again being underrated. It's a very good perk, you get your heavy attack back much faster
I masterworked a repulsor brace + destabilising combo of the heavy GL and I absolutely hate it outside of any content without lots of void shields.
I think cascade point is kinda slept on for the heavy GL, it’s easy to proc some good burst damage

Caretaker you def want surrounded. It's a higher buff than One for All and you're constantly surrounded in this season's content/raid/campaign.

Relentless plus incandescent is amazing sword. Unless they've nerfed it the explosion kills from incandescent can proc relentless for free ammo.
I've already gotten the auto from Defiance, and I was quite let down because I thought it would at least hit a little bit harder.
I got perpetualis and circular logic with envious and hatching first try and ive gotta say it goes well
Flash Counter/Valiant Charge sounds like a fun meme roll for Stronghold Titans, but that's... pretty much all I can think of for Caretaker.
Swords are kinda weird.
Collections gives you Regnant for glitter and cores. You get to choose the masterwork too

RE: Caretaker; Flash Counter is a top tier perk on swords, its a 20% debuff for just flashing the guard when the boss does their eventual stomp, 2nd anything works but honestly there are better swords available.
Does anyone know if it’s possible to buy weapons at the end of RoN and possibly get a red border. Or is it only one a week
I have yet to actually get any of these guns deep sighted, I've only ever gotten one Red border weapon so far

on the heavy gl destabilizing rounds is disgusting with volitial right now. add clears like a beast.
If you pair the Caretaker w/Incandescent with the fragment that spawns a Firesprite on Scorched target kills, the one that grants Restoration on Firesprite pickup, and the artifact mod that grants Armor Charge on Firesprite pickup....bruhhh

Personally I find Envious better than Auto-loading in Legend difficulty (-10 power or more) or easier since getting a single kill partially loads the weapon if you swap to it, notably most valuable on a special GL
I haven't done master content or much raiding, so I can't gauge from experience, but I imagine Auto-loading is mostly only better when it takes longer to get two kills than it does for the perk to proc
The Heave Grenade Launcher and the Fusion rifle (solar) are the only halfway decent weapons and they are boring repeats. What a thrill
I got a random roll of the sword with incandecent and woof that thing cleared ads, like deleted ads, like no more in a 15ft radius around me. I had alot of fun with it
People sleep on Field Prep’s bonus reserves. It makes a decent difference
Don't sleep on zen moment for perpetualis. Its extremely potent after the buff.
I share your "meh" towards Swords, since as a Titan if I'm close to the enemies then why sword when punch/hammer do trick, but I think we can probably agree that if we have two choices, "enemies near me" and "enemies near me but on fire", the choice is clear.
Dragonfly is actually pretty good on a bow, now the perk isn't needed. This is presuming you are able to one shot headshot red bars without Explosive Head.
I had all of these guns crafted in the first week of lightfall. I’m just here what my opinion should be on them.

Datto, you're sleeping on the heavy GL with cascade point. Easy to setup and you get massive burst damage.
Repulser Brace and Destabilizing Rounds can give you on demand void OS with the GL. Shouldn't be slept on.

There is no perfect float on royal executioner, only offhand strike (which by the way is really good in pvp on fusions).
