Regarding the creep equilibrium once you kill the t1, it's not that inefficient to ignore the wave once you've pushed it into their tower. The reason for this is that the position of the wave + the tower killing your creeps off will quickly build up a double wave for the enemy, which gives their push much more killing power due to the two ranged creeps. You'll miss a few melees, but their wave will kill your wave a lot faster so the creeps will just keep building up for them while you farm jungle, and meanwhile the wave becomes too dangerous for them to farm because they know you're in their jungle somewhere and can kill them if they go for it; so you're effectively denying the whole lane AND denying their jungle, meanwhile after you've cleared their whole jungle you can go catch the wave once it's pushed up to in front of your tower but before it crashes into it, resetting the creep equilibrium on your side of the map and making the lane impossible for them to farm for even longer. The only reason to constantly push the lane is if you think you can take the tower - basically if you're a hero like Brood who can easily and safely chip down towers. Necro isn't really a tower hitting hero, but he's very hard to fight when he's ahead so he's better off controlling all that space and farming rather than trying to push solo.

The reasoning for salves at the beginning is in case they go on you hard you can survive and get back to lane. For poke damage and general trading necro sustains fine so you don’t need tangos, but you can’t go fully no regen or they will just push you out of lane.

Also salve can work well with necro because of his W, right? It’s regen density is high enough that you can get value out of W healing amp I think. Maybe. Don’t play necro a lot.

Salve was okay, the enemy played bad not pressing their spells and chipping dmg, 0 novas from the CM Jesus
Also, old necro ult! Poggers old ult would add +15 seconds to the respawn timer

Very interesting video. It really highlights how you are supposed to keep your opponents on the backfoot without trying to force things. Keep enough pressure on them to either fall behind on CS/XP or overextend and get killed. It's important to force enemies to make difficult choices and enemies at 3k will often make the wrong ones. No fancy dives, no sick plays, just solid straight forward Dota and capitalizing on mistakes.

not sure if it got said in chat, but he has talked about salves in other vids before, well necro has good sustain, salve is to get back into lane asap after getting bursted down but surviving. it would take necro several casts to get back to full.

The reason for you to tank the creeps sometimes when ur support pulls is because if u join them then it means the pull almost never happened. It's simple grubby is overthinking too much.

Your enemy carry's farm is more important than your farm, unless you have a hero that has a very important power spike that is necessary to reach. As long as he doesn't get farm, it does not matter if you get a slow farm. You're a 3, he's a 1.

Upheaval is OP and the Avg Warlock sleeps on it.... and I recommend always before 6. He is a full combo hero, all spells cast in 1-2 seconds and you are left channeling the best aoe slow in the game while the enemies make the choice -
Do they run from Golem out of the slow or
Fight Golem in a slow that ramps up or
Run at you to disable channel/waste spells on you but good positioning can make this near impossible (Channel in trees out of vision)
Either way you dont die easily and become a prime target as 5, your Golem smashes and you control multiple heroes or an area where the enemy cant pass which is invaluable when used correctly

Maybe my concepts are old. When I played dota, “soft catch” meant “unreliable catch”. like Mirana, that’s a pretty deadly stun if it hits, but only if it hits.
On the other hand, we did call those penetrate bkb “hard catches”.
