He's not using arrow keys to move camera, he's using hero lock. You can achieve that by double tapping on the hero portrait or enable the Hold Select Hero to Follow option under camera settings and then hold the select hero key down.

I double tap and then hold on the second tap my select hero hotkey/control group to achieve the same thing
No actually, hes using middle click map drag settings, which most pro players are using. You press your mouse m3 button, hold and drag your map around so your mouse stays at the center of the map. Most players use a combination of this and edge pan
Could you do something more like this? Observing pro players while learning from them, it's calming to watch and I learn a lot from this type of commentary. Amazing job Grub!
11:48 i think that ward is not that obvious in those brackets, I notice in high immortal they use quelling so frequent. So i think the enemy won't suspect there is a ward there just because that tree was cut.
Ah, valid addition to that! Except, both Topson games I watched so far he did it at 6-7 mins, so if I studied Topson PUBS at least, I'd def check for it ;P

Using quelling blade to randomly cut tree is the same as you randomly kicking rock on the way back to home lol.
last moment before the game ended, topson's health was below 325. so he survived thanks to the talent :p

That global agro pull to bring the creeps under tower at 8:12 was so sick. I never would have thought to do that - made his own creeps die faster to the tower to deny Kunkka the three melees!
Arteezy now moves his camera normally, fast for normal people but normal for gamers. Before Arteezy was a machine.

You can set camera position by using ctrl + set up button for example ctrl + f5 so everytime you push f5 it moves to that camera position. You can also alt + click on hero picture to get the camera follow your hero
wrong on the arrow keys, he just holds the button that takes him to his hero (or maybe tap-press-hold). You can also double click your hero portrait.
Watching livestreams is not my cup of tea, that's why I am being thankful that you have videos on TH-cam, I think that chats are enjoying the livestream, what is the name of music on introduction?

hes not using direction arrows i think.. he is holding the select hero button.. also works for creeps like you control group your courier and keep holding the control group button for it while the cour moves around.. camera will follow.. all units generally..
Hi @grubby. You can hold press your left mouse button on hero portrait and move the cursor anywhere on the screen and the camera view stays on the middle with your hero.
Mid tusk really benefits from the xp and he's such a great ganker, but ultimately I think going tusk mid depends a lot on the match up, I'm not a good player though so take it with a grain of salt
i think tusk and pango mid are becoming a thing since the small camps at mid were removed, thus midlane hero picks are transitioning into high tempo heroes who go around the map instead of heroes who like to sit mid
what about invoker he can globaly use spell to get assistance or maybe a kill?
invoker is stationary mid hero early game /late game he becomes pusher still can do it better than arc!
@@flux9433 depends on the type of playstyle invo players will go to. Exort invo is more of a stationary farming type who likes to sit mid, cs, farm jungles, and push lanes while quas/wex invo is more of a ganking type who goes around the map killing people and helping other lanes early to mid game. Hence, quas/wex invo is the meta rn (as seen also in the top skill and item guides).
@@ruwi4635 lol the only pusher its exort gameplay early game the start basically the begining with more dmg on physical lvl but overall atleast you have to be good farming that early bonus dmg for more items and more is that if you are able to use sun strikes globally on the side lanes early game you can get assistance or maybe kill so you dont have to bother going side lanes early game /farming the time

Mid tusk is all about the strength of the early aghs blink on team fights I would imagine (at least I have friends that play it that way. You can blink on them hit snowball and then kick them into your team and release the snowball to stun them out of position -very powerful
After watching I can say his build is strong too but maybe a bit dependant on maintaining early tempo and pushing early - hard to do at low mmrs
but mid tusks now leans away from the aghs build to the early falcon blade, deso build used by nine in ti11. it makes much more sense than aghs since tusk is strong in the early and mid game but trash in the late game if your carry isnt farmed, so phys damage tusk compensates for that weakness

@Grubby he's not using arrow key's to move his screen. He's using the grab screen button, lots of pros use this to adjust a screen. so you hold the button and you can readjust the screen. Alot of people put this on middle mouse button.

u say it takes a lot of time to travel to sidelane and back, but this is exactly the mids job, he secures not only the mid lane but also prevents the sidelanes from crumbling. so with his snowball he prevents the snowball so to say :)

hello grubby are you familiar with the "we are electric" song used in the old wodota glory days? It's very iconic and I used to watch wodota top 10 weekly with that background song playing.

1:20 topson changed tusk that's what, he plays it so others do including myself and i find success in it, its a good ganker
13:45 point made saying he spent a lot of time getting the bounty rune and going back to the 2nd bounty rune that was left there for a 2nd refill is actually great use of time. All that AND he still has TP? that's the point. in one NON tp rotation, he was able to gank bot, get a kill, and give Ursa sustain and farm time. That's the little plays you need tk make as a mid to create the "tempo" and force the enemy to play into your game. now if there were a fight to break after that gank, he can still TP if needed. thats why it's really important to walk to your ganks and only TP to fights
Hey Grub. Enjoying your content and personality overall so much.
I ll give you some advices for Night stalker since it's my fav hero with slardar, that has kinda same functions, and axe. Also i find him very very OP. And i think he feets you very well.
So the first thing that you need to do after you spawn is go straight to the edge of your mid highround. Because of his night vision (1800, when obs has 1600) you can see enemies HG and see placing their mid vard. I'd say that in 1 of 3 or 4 its ez deward. Also it helps when you going to smoke gang: you need to go first and if its night, you can see enemy before they can see you. And you can invade gangs and revill smokes since that.
Than start build: basic is tango bracer, but if you are against spam, you need to buy stick, axe, tango with elements of bracer or 3 mango brunches and the third is tango boots when ur against jugg, slark, lifestealer, ursa or monkey king OR you have very weak, usually mele supp like pudge, nix etc. Boots makes you kinda independent.
5 min and brown or phase boots is your really big powerspike on lane. And the catapult spawns aswell, so untlill that time try to dont fight, dont waste your recourses and just hit creeps. (Secure range with void) Sometimes you even can tell your sup to w8 it. Try to do as much as possible because when 10 min on time, you r again very weak.
The main function in the fight is to insta kill one of enemies supp. Healer or saver first of all: like dazzle, oracle, WW etc. Also heros like sky, shaman or disruputor are nice bec their strong spells and low armor. You killing 1 at first 5 seconds, than its 4 vs 5 so its EZ fight. Just like on clinkz: burst someone, than go a bit away, give a lot of vision and decide your next move. And you are very good at solo kills aswell.
Also basically you are very strong counter to heroes that has so much escapes or dispell, that they dont even want to buy bkb: like ember, slark, storm and especially jugg, LS, puck, void spirit, tinker. So they are ot of position and you have an opportunity to burst them, do it. Just think about it: the only thing that helps you vs NS as jugg is the bkb, but you strongly dont want to buy it! Yes, heros like puck can buy ghost, or euls (that just delays death) but you can ez counter it either.
Lets move to skill and item build. I think skills are understandable, but there is a thing: you always need to think about getting silence on lvl 5 or even earlier vs cerries with escape and dispell like jugg, LS, slark or void. Also its very good against heroes than can stop you: like lion or shaman or pudge. There is 3 possible ways to buy.
1. When you already won lane. And i like it the most: phase, magic wand, bracer, saber, bkb/blink, blink/bkb and shard.
2. When you have very hard lane and you have very less farm: instead of saber just buy one more or even two more bracers. With it it will be harder to burst sups, but still possible. In fights you want just to poke, giving vision and w8 for the righr moment.
3. When you want to be sure to dont lose lane or just an alternative to first one. Its armlet instead of saber and FAST shard. But firstly you buying "Helm of Iron Will" just like "ring of health", there is no way that enemies can deal with you with that harmor and hp regen. Than phase with wand, than finish armlet.
After all that stuff you can buy whatever you want: AC for dmg (buy with hyperstone, not platemail, you are semicore, not tank, and also don't buy any auras most of time: it not helps you to stay alive, if you stunned, you will die anyways), basher for control thrue bkb, and the rare, but very important thing is nuliffer. Because you want to burst sups, but they will ofthen buy ghost. And you don't want to waste your seconds of bkb on it. Blink is important for same reason. So its imortant to click on your target in fight every time it shows on map, so that glimmer, that counters with 70 gold, or ghost, would not be surprise for you. Try to teach yourself to click on all of them, at least when they are not on lanes, to figure out about wards and new items but firstly you can just focus on your target in fights.
The last one that i want write is about bkb usage. When you get bkb, always try to understand in which exact time you want to press it and NS will help you to figure this out: If they have only stuns with animation or cast point like lina, lesh, wraith king, than you can just keep in mind that spells and dodge them, its not necessary to press it beforehand. Same with slows and roots or like invo spells that kites you much.
If they have insta stan like rubick, lion, shaman or just scythe or eul, than you always need to press them right before entering fight.
Also sometimes you can skip bkb to blink if they have like only 1 stun hero, whose you will always burst with silence.
There are even more things to write about this hero, but i will let you to figure out them by yourself.
Sorry for that long text but i really wanted to share with you my experience. Hope NS will gain you a lot of mmrs! And remember: Day - walker, night - stalker!

Jokes aside, I can see Mr. Grubby's dedication to get better and I truly think that he can achieve pro-level skill if he continues his DotA 2 journey. All the best, Mr. Grubby, don't let these sackbeaters bring you down, you have plenty potential to be able to surpass Topson or any other pro.

yea, his 10min LHs and farm is low since he made a lot of space, if he had Lina, SF or some farming hero, he would have way more.
From watching a few (read: many but not all) of Grubbs Dota videos I haven't yet heard him vocalise or display understanding that although denies are valuable, last hits are significantly more important.
It's evident in the laning phase in this video as you can see that Topson and Tiny are not directly competing to get denies. They're setting up situations that will cost the other player a last hit.
For example tiny will stun Topson without stunning radiant creeps so that they will take the last hit from Topson.
Based on what I've seen this might be something worth focusing on in the early laning phase. Deny when it's free but if it will (or might) cost you a last hit, ignore it.
I understand you're not trying to tryhard specific heroes to gain MMR but focusing on this specific skill was probably the single most impactful in my own improvement back when I played regularly.

at 34:00 he is attempting to place shards such that Void is blocked from his teammates and can't hit them under chrono. Unfortunately Magnus was in the way and "catches" the shard projectile. That's why the shards were in an unexpected position.
Huge disappointment when this wasn't about golf... there is only one The Masters.
