I spotted that kitten sneaking around under the engine bay. Clearly, had a guilty expression. You should check for cat hair in that bearing! SABOTAGE KITTY!!! :)
I am glad the wrecker will be an easy fix since you depend on the wrecker a lot. It was so cute seeing the kitten trying to reach up to play from under the wrecker
Dang Eric you could use about 40 dump truck loads of rock around your property, to get rid of some of that mud lol. Nice property though. Thanks for the video guy's can't wait for the next one.
Had an older Ford 7.3 do that a couple times. First time it completely chewed up the pulley and the belt. Second time I knew what the suspicious noise was right away. Looks like you caught it before it got really bad.
Eric has the power of Thor with that hammer 🔨 He was shaking the entire shop! 😊 I'm pretty sure there's not a square inch of square body he can't fix! Gotta know that vehicle like the back of his hand!
what bearing were they ? 202's or 204's if so any lawnmower shop or alternator shop will have dozens of them , I buy them in 12pk tubes , lawnmower blade spindles mower wheel bearings , alternators , idler pulleys , and useful for many other uses ...
Too bad they didn't have the bearings in stock for the idler. I guess a couple days isn't too bad to wait. Sounds like Big Bob has a dry bearing or maybe a pulley rubbing on some tin. Something is not right. At least you got the hay burners fed. LOL!!
I’d Jack up the radiator cap and drive a new wrecker under it. I’ve driven heavy wreckers for 25 years and that is just flat embarrassment. Scary scary stuff..

I thought that was Erics little assistant, doing under carriage inspection. 😅😅😅😅😂😂😂
Kitty pitcrew😂
That kitty is Eric's friend, stopping mice chewing on wires and other stuff.
Doing a CAT Scan on the off road wrecker.

We almost fell over, when you were removing those bearings!
Good to have a cat keeping your wiring from getting eaten up!
Eric. You are a warrior! Your work ethic is unreal. Greetings from the great state of Maine!
Gotta have a laugh on that one! She did her job and made it home safe 👍! Repair and repeat another weekend! 😅
Great job guys. Thank you 😊
A nice warm shop and there you are working on it in the cold while on the trailer. Something i would do as well.
keep the clips coming
This was a nice video to get the day started. Thanks for taking us along.
Sucks you’re having issues! Love your endless efforts!
I saw the GMC Top Kick, standing by in the BSF arsenal 👍
Never a dull moment. Good luck in the upcoming events😊
Good luck with the wrecker.God Bless 😊
Thanks for the video guys

And a nice concrete pad in front of the doors outside so summertime can get some of that outside action going on.
I like ur new helper there Eric lol
I see several dump loads of #57 stone in your immediate spring thaw.
Thats Red's temper tantrum😂

Looks like you had a Gremlin in there 😺
Dang! You got horses? I hear that's the most surefire way to turn a large fortune into a small one!
Thanks for sharing.
They turn hay into garden manure.
LOL
Menards and Rural King my 2 favorite stores.

One of those things I always have a couple spares of just because it's so hard to get them ordered after you need them..
Great video
With every strike of the hammer the camera starts aiming at the floor.
6201 before your done. and probally cheaper to get new pulley with bearings than just bearings. i sure like big bob.
Hey Eric, of course it couldn't be just a nut.. and has to be something nobody local has.
Hopefully the fan is ok and not out of balance?
Theoretically it should have taken the same amount off each fin like it was turned in a lathe so it should still be balanced
I gotta think that fan is getting replaced sooner than later.......
the cat just wants to help.
Hey Eric,
Those Baring gremlins will sneak up on ya at the strangest times.
I saw a switch on Big Bob that said "Work Off Road." That's should be Y'alls new MOTTO, lol. Wonder what that switch does?
Busy day Eric
1:46 Why did you build your garage and then not use it to work on the idler pulley?

Looks like you need a couple loads of gravel.
Any plans to pave around the garage?
were those bearings 6203
Shoulder bolt?
What do you mean your chores are done for the day? There was still daylight. Does sitting down and relaxing actually relax you? - lol.
The cat says after inspection: cat aided design would have prevented this😉.
Eric what do you do for a job
👍
What type of vise?
Don't know, was a gift from my dad years ago.
Strong
At least its a simple idler pulley & not the upper valve train etc...Could always be a lot worse
The engine?
😂LOL, maybe if you looked under the hood when it started making noise...

I do not like Menards tools. Their sockets and wrenches are not good. I guess because most of them are 12point.
Just another repair.
A new pulley would have been easier.
👍🙌🙏
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍

You could have got the whole thing for the price you gave for just the bearings
..................hi
how about some basic maintenance?
I’d Jack up the radiator cap and drive a new wrecker under it. I’ve driven heavy wreckers for 25 years and that is just flat embarrassment. Scary scary stuff..
You lost me somewhere there.
It's a tool, not a temple, and it still works well. This particular tool is well suited for the intended purpose.
Anybody else is screaming go buy the assembly for cheap!
That is not horses hay that crape is compost 💩💩💩💩
I was thinking the same thing. No way in hell my horses getting hay that looks like that.
