Is it possible to keep neocaridina and caridina shrimp together? Well, it depends, for the purist shrimp keeper and breeder it's best to keep them separate. But most people are limited in space and resources and here's some tips and tricks to doing this if that's your end game and goals.

Great info Ray. I didn't have much luck with keeping neos in caridina parameters. They don't breed and I even don't see them growing.

point blank, caridina shrimp is way nicer, for purists and excellent breeders like your self, it's best to stick with caridina shrimp, heh

I have a 15 gallon tank with crystal reds

KH 2
CRS seem really good in these parameters, but will neos suffer in these parameters and will they breed in these parameters?

Parameters looks good but ph is a bit low for neocaridina. Best to separate them

@@RWAquariumPages I did some research just now and it said that neos need a ph between 6.5-7.5, and the caridinas need a ph between 5.5-6.5.

@@kathleenmonsegue9700 there is some over lap, but generally neocaridina can thrive in a wider range than caridina shrimp

Wich kind should i look to mix with my blue dream? And wich one for my red rilli to really pop out! Some red king kong maybe or blue shadow panda/blue bolt? Kinda maybe want to add a skittle mix of caridina in both tanks and see how they breed together.. how they will mix
