This is lovely.. can we use other type of water colors to get the same effect? Since these are pretty much costly, which company watercolors can be used???
Maria Raczynska thanks for replying.. available ones are camel and Faber castell but they are not rich in pigment and are kind of pale in appearance(i tried them)so could you suggest a brand which would give a realistic appearance like your painting ?
Hi Rachana, to be honest Holbein is the only brand that I know of that's so rich in pigment and so smooth when you paint, but you can definitely paint with other brands. Watercolors are personal preference. You could try Winsor and Newton? those Reeves, Grumbacher and Cotman were some of my first watercolor paints, you could try QoR I heard they are more vibrant too, I have a set of 12 but haven't had a chance to paint with them yet. Schmincke are much different but still a good brand, they are harder to create smooth backgrounds, colors dry into hard edges, this works for a lot of artists, it all depends on what you are painting. Sennelier are vibrant, more transparent. A lot of botanical artists likes them.🌸🤗

LOVE your style and work! I enjoy your videos so much! Beautiful and so fluidly done. May I ask what kind of tape that is? I have trouble with my tape pulling off the face of the paper - I want to leave a crisp, clean white edge around my paintings, but not destroy the paper edge.
Hi Mary, I use a WASHI tape, but they do peel off sometimes. Basically if it's a Hot Pressed like this painting - smooth surface paper, they stick perfectly, never peel off😉but if I use it on a cold pressed or rough - textured paper, it peels off sometimes.
I saw a technique in one of the tutorials. You stick it on your dress a couple of times and remove and then put it on the paper, and it doesn't peel off the paper.

Hi Karen, thank you and I apologize.. The reason I don't insert most of my reference photos in videos is because the reference photos come from pmp-art.com and there are strict rules.. like you can use photos for reference copyrights and royalty free but you cannot download these reference photos or upload them anywhere. To be honest it's hard to insert the picture in the video sometimes😅because my painting and palette take over the screen lol I do share my reference photos via links to pmp-art.com on Patreon tho.
