Love hearing your thoughts. There is this obsession with wanting to grow hair so much that we make ourselves fall for these gimmicks when all along, our hair is going to grow (so long as we are a healthy human being). And because the beauty industry has made an eternal mint off of black women especially, we have to be even more discerning about what we're being sold. What we need is already inside of us to grow long hair. We don't even have to do anything extra as you stated. That's just the way God made us.
I really liked the analogy of keeping or focusing on existing clients (our ends). Making sure that they are strong and last longer. The ends with break off but they can be kept for a long time. I love the Ancient Method Sis, I truly do. I am on my second week without water, Praise God🙏🏾
Although my hair type is very fine, I have tried mini braids and my hair started to lock. I love your micro braids and I’m willing to try them. I’m not really interested in length but health. I wash bi-weekly due to scalp issues. But will try this and see if possibly I can just rebrand each one before it locks.
I used to have scalp issues, then I cleaned up my diet and started exercising. Very little flaking now. Also, the first time indid mini braids my hair/scalp was in shock. The next time you do it, it should be easier. Also, I suggest you start with larger braids and work you way down to smaller and smaller braids, if it locks and the hairline you’ll be in trouble. I do bigger braids at the nape of my neck.
I enjoyed your video a lot of useful advice but id like to disagree about the use of water making hair brittle. The hair needs moisture which cones from water otherwise the hair will get dry become brittle and break off. Some water is needed.
I agree. Our hair needs water. I think she meant the overuse of water is damaging. My hair pretty much lives in mini twists. I wash it 1 to 2 times per month. I use rosewater to refresh my scalp in between weeks and massage. This helps reduce itchiness and dryness. I don't refresh my hair with water. Instead, I use oil and butter to maintain the moisture that's already locked in. Also keeping my ends oiled and making sure to keep my hair off my shoulders is a plus. I've been doing this for the past 5 years and my hair is now close to the waist length. I blow dry my hair every wash day to install my mini twists. Keeping my hair stretched has been very beneficial when it comes to length intention. Using heat is not bad. It's how you use it. I make sure to thoroughly prep my hair before using direct heat and my curls are still intact.
I’m trying the find the easiest way to part my hair for braids. A tool that will make the braids even. Any suggestions? Right now I ordered a large tweezers so I can grab the same amount of hair each time.
No, none I can think of. Meticulous parts are very nice and a 3 way mirror is great at achieving perfection when parting but really parting doesn't have to be perfect, just as long as there's no strands of hair in a braid that belong to another braid you're good to go
Hey, thanks. I'm a braided natural, I will always be braided. I think when my hair grows and reaches my goals that's when I'll need the braids the most because big hair might tangle up and cause a bit of frustration so. .I've decided by the way to wear my hair out in braid out for only a few weeks before every micro braids install
« 1. If you have brittle hair, then you can forget about that hair ever making it to the future » fact but you’re so funny 😂😂😂😭
I've missed seeing your comment 😭 thought you didn't love me no more 💚

Keep going 💚
This is very true; we don't think long-term as much as we should 😮💨
I actually bought my butter and aloe Vera like you recommended! Today I’m doing my mini braids like you said 🤗 let’s try
You got this!
Try it Sis and you won’t regret it. The ancient method is a hidden gem for African women.
I’m having someone braid my hair this weekend and will take your advice with the oil. My hair lives oils and butters.

Best of luck queen 💚

When you feel your hair locking, oil it. You’ll see that you can
run your fingers when oiling and the coils are now soft and not joined.
Love your videos Sis…💕💜

Your information is very interesting. Tell me, is there a difference between hair lotion, hair cream, and hair butter?

Hi, I love your videos and I’m curious what are your goals for after you have very long hair. Will you wear it out or always keep in braids?
