The pink bus you took was maybe a private bus. They make unscheduled halts to pickup passengers to fill it up. Next time take a state transport bus. You can get an AC luxury bus which are more comfortable. Your pink bus ride was quite entertaining . 😀

There are three types of private bus green, blue, and pink. Green is for small city rides, blue is to outside city and pink is long distance.

That is why one needs to travel in a country to really experience the reality of that country because what one sees in brochures or internet, are touristy landmarks & positive sides of it.

He could have hired a taxi and reach munnar in three hours.
These buses are local commuter line buses meant to serve the local people. They stop at designated bus stops and give refreshment breaks every two hours or so.
William got on to the bus while they were returning from munnar, towards the end of that trip. So he had to wait for the next set schedule.

Wow! That is some view out your hotel patio. William be careful there are tigers and cobras in those mountains. Plus other wild creatures. 6 hours to go 60KM! You could have run faster. But you always have a smile on your face. We are “pool trick” deprived.
