    please check the Invicta Vanguard and the Britannia, In all my years at the LBA I've no knowledge of these landing, we only had 5400ft of runway until the extension in the early 80's. I do however remember a BKS Britannia make a low approach and go around.

      I STAND CORRECTED>>>>> the later photos clearly show the vanguard parked on stand 1, this is a surprise for me.

    Vickers Viscount. Best short haul aircraft built in this country. Even the American airlines flew it.
