I live in Arizona, UH SA. We tear we everything down every few years and build fresh. We have a few things from our old days but not much huh. Congrats to you Bradford people for making and keeping an incredible home full of history and rugged beauty.
Truly beautiful. Bradford was full of titanic mills but this Jan, probably not a saint, Sir Titus Salt, is a British legend!. A shame more isn't done to preserve his heritage, especially as a prohibitionist.
Lived on Victoria road for twenty years the traffic will destroy that village , its a shame the council don't look after them properly , people would be very shocked at how bad some of the issues have become in those homes ....

@@WillScarlet1991 ironic that you are the !gn0rant one in this equation. I guess you like super mosques being built in every victorian estate in Bradford, forever pushing out and further alienating the English.

The only reason Saltaire's literally been untouched is because it has protected status.
Stayed there last week, loved it.
I live here. The biggest change is the amount of traffic. crazy!
Bradford is beautiful love bradford for life
Love this, what an amazing video, thank you for sharing.
Happier times.
Not changed much I live very close to here!
Fascinating. Thanks for sharing.

Used to get toy cars in that shop around 1979/80. And my grandma lived down the next left off the main road in a salts house for a bit.

WOW what a difference !!!
cool to see how the shops have changed
WOW Changed so much!!
Saltaire has barely changed at all. Different names above the shops that's about it.
@@somegeezer4058 it's over crowded, littered, run down, and has had forced demographic change like most of Bradford
Salt's mill has been stone-cleaned + the nice weather, so I'm guessing it's ~ 1976.
Could be any summer in the 70s.
best of times
Great. Thanks :)
love it
Very nice film. What's the song?
Making Tracks sunny by bensound
Bradford is now a cess pit......and we all know the reason why!!!
Because it's full of uneducated chavs that have no respect for others? I agree.
@@somegeezer4058 And they all live on sink estates like the OP.

100%
Where is me pushing twins in pushchair
Look how little traffic is on the road, compared to today.
Wow, this must have been before it all became a World Heritage Site?
Barbara Stepien-foad yes about 15 years before it became a heritage site. Salts mill in this video is still a working mill
Before the invasion.
So this is what the place looked like 40 years ago.
England has really gone downhill since the 70s especially Bradford. No nice areas like there used to be .
Many nice areas. You need to travel out further now to places like Wilsden, Ilkley, Haworth.
@@DamnDealDone
Ilkley is Leeds. Bd post code goes as far out as malham.
