GREAT IDEA! Wouldn't it be better to have the string coming out of the bottom of the box and secured to some object so that when the box is lifted, it sets off the device? That way, the thief is more likely to drop the box and run, leaving your device to be utilized again?

I was hoping you would have tied the string to your porch. That way when they lift up the package....BOOM! I realize that does mean some poo cleanup on the porch area, but the footage would be worth it and you get to keep your cannon for re-use.
