I have a feeling that as more people get the Venture X and crowding becomes an issue those very lenient AU rules will change similar to how they’re changing for the Centurion Lounges.
Having more lounge ecosystems means the overall capacity of all these premium lounges is growing though! Chase’s lounge strategy is questionable, but I concur that DFW’s lounges are fantastic and Capital One’s is a worthy addition :)

Man, this is a great Venture Card Perk! These lounges are quite decent! I didn't really want to get the higher end Delta Reserve or AMEX Platinum just for the lounge access. I don't fly that often anyway so access 2 times a year seems perfect. Just somewhere nice to get away from the main terminal areas. Now, open one in Sky Harbor! lol

Did not realize my Capital One Venture card gave me access. I was there two weeks ago and my flight left at the gate next door. I did visit the Minutes Suite (which was awesome to decompress in) and the AA Admiral's Lounge which are also nearby (I have almost been to all the Admiral's Lounges at DFW). Next time I will have to visit.
Was at DFW (layover) yes and saw the Capital One Lounge- can’t miss the signage! I went to the Centurion Lounge as usual; it was 80% capacity but at least some seating available! Capital One Lounge small bites look similar to the Escape Lounge at OAK. Airport. Really with Chase had done a lounge, at least for Chase Private Client members….
Damn Capital One...never would hv thought...giving Amex a run for its money. The problem is i cant get approved for a Capital One card lol. I think i hv been rejected twice!

As the lounges are available in spots that can only be accessed after TSA check - I am assuming to get to this point you would need a ticket or should have landed in that “zone” post arrival

Personally. I'm very excited that CapitalOne has their own lounges too now as DFW is my most traveled Airport. The other cards like AMEX and Chase are too expensive (top tier cards). Good to see a card that gives you a lot for your money.

I wonder if i should apply. I wanted the Venture X when it was still a rumor. I applied for the Venture two days before they officially announced the Venture X which made me pretty mad.(early November) I haven't opened any other credit cards or other credit accounts since then. I have a 720-60 credit score and only one capital one card. Should I apply for the Venture X now or wait till I am at 6 months since that Venture Application?

My credit history is 10 years+ because of an authorized user and I barely got my own credit card thru discover it because of some past mistake, and with the help of your videos. How do you keep track of multiple CC's statement due date and the billing cycle before it is reported to the bureau? Or do you just have an automatic payment setup for each card? Thanks so much, I appreciate it!
Either set up autopay or rotate card usage. I don’t use all my cards at the same time. I only have 10, so I just rotate through using 3-4 at a time every quarter. Paying off each card every 2-3 weeks. If I’m getting a paycheck, a card is getting paid to zero.
i've had Venture for a year and half. Applied to Venture X and got approved for $30k CRL on top of $25k for Venture. Will probably transfer $20k CRL to venture X before downgrading Venture. Will attempt to ask downgrade to Savor but doubt they'll say yes and i'll probably end up cancelling.

AT DFW, there are a ton of Admiral's Lounges so that is never an issue.

I got trapped during the ice storm at DFW last Wednesday. This card would have really come in handy after the Centurion lounge closed.
We were stuck at DFW last Wednesday as well! Was surprised the Centurion lounge closed at 7:30pm.

I have the quiksilver, also have access to this lounge however they charge $65 for 2 guests. (not free) but no annual fee.

No restrictions for now. Was stuck there for 5+ hours due to flight delays.
