- The Capital One Lounge at the Denver International Airport (DEN) is the newest airport lounge at the second largest airport in the world. As these Capital One airport lounges start to open around the country, they open with a lot of hype and anticipation, especially for people who have or are considering the Venture X credit card.
In this Denver Capital One Lounge review, I show you around the Capital One Lounge at the Denver airport and provide tips to help you get the most out of your visit. This is one of the best airport lounges in Denver, but there are still some things that it doesn't get perfect. If you're wondering if the Capital One Venture X is worth it for you and lounge access matters, this will help you decide if the card and lounge is right for you.

In the almost year since the lounge opened, it's got very busy and you'll likely run in to wait times. Use your app to check in before you get to the bottom of the escalator and are told it might be 15-30 minutes. The bar staff is .... well, grade C at best - compared to the Centurion in concourse C where they are very good at what they do. And no, not everything is free at this lounge but most drinks are. Showers - Let them know when you get there, they will add you to a queue that's usually fast. Nice private showers but you may need to bring your own items to clean yourself; as when I've been there, generally no soap or shampoo is the situation. I'm glad Capital One opened their lounge here, but I definitely would appreciate a few improvements with staffing at the bar.
I'm so glad I found you. Your videos have a wonderful style. Congratulations on hitting your 10,000 subscriber goal early by the way.
Thank you so much, Lucas!! I really appreciate it!
I love your denver vlogs please do more please thanks
Thanks, Matthew! I appreciate that encouragement so much!
Great review! I'm heading there in two weeks and have a 4 hr layover. Will definitely be hitting this up. Fyi- the family room looks like it is made for nursing moms. Nice comfy chair, privacy, changing area etc. more and more airports are adding these spaces. 😊
Thanks for the Lounge review Dave! I'm not a Capital One credit card guy, but you make it very tempting because my layover is typically at the Denver Airport.
Thanks so much for watching! Since it’s my home airport, it was an easy call, but I just as easily would’ve gone Chase Sapphire Reserve if there was a Sapphire Lounge at DEN.
I got to visit it no problem! The cookie and dessert area was hidden though
I’m happy you didn’t go up the wrong escalator! 😀 I’ve walked a lot of people to the right one, haha.
Good to know how long it takes to get to a southwest gate in terminal C
Bro that C terminal with the 100 gates?
HATE THAT WALK
You mentioned showing boarding pass. Can I go into the lounge WITHOUT a flight? Im flying into DEN, but have a few hours before getting picked up from friends.
Probably not 🙁 it generally needs to be a departing flight. I wish it wasn't that way because I'd love to stop in after a long flight back!
I did not plan well. Mamma mia.
@@speshollfamlee If you don't have to grab a bag from baggage claim, maybe do a sitdown meal at Root Down and burn some time. The newer part of Concourse C (Southwest) is very nice and a really nice place to sit down away from the craziness.
Even if you can't use a lounge, the Mezzanine level is MUCH less crowded than the main level. I think many people have never even been up there!
@@davechungThis is the help I was looking for! Many thanks.
Do I need to make reservation to reserve the room or just walk in if nobody is in there?
Good question! You still make a reservation so that the concierge staff can unlock the door for you.
Is the 3 hour before your flight a thing or do they let that slide?
They still do the 3 hour before your flight rule. I was there forever because of my delay, but they’ll still check that.
How do you reserve the relaxation room? 😮😊
Just ask at the front desk when you check in! 🙂 One has been open every time I’ve been.
Yeah, nah. What I learned from decades of frequent flying - these are for self important people looking for faux exclusivity. Thanks for re upping my lived knowledge.
Root Down and then park it at whatever gate is unused until your boarding time. That’s my pro tip workflow.
The toilet thing is so funny😂 it shows how many american men actually pee standing 😂 thats so weird
I studied abroad in Germany, so I don't mind taking a seat every now and then! But here, it's a whole thing when the seat won't stay up! 😂
Is the alcohol free?
It’s complimentary, but most people tip for alcohol!
Is alcohol free?
It is! Most people tip for cocktails, but they’re complimentary.
I choose option b - hold the seat up with my least favorite finger.
😂 that’s typically my move
