Is a DC Reel Worth It? Head to Head lets see

I have a regular Shimano SLX and a Shimano SLX DC. I also have Shimano Curado DC and a normal Shimano Curado to test against each other and see is a Digital Chip Reel worth buy or is a normal reel just as good. Answers are found here.

Without a doubt, the SLX DC XT (made in 70 spool size) is the budget DC reel to have. MGL III spool, I-DC5 controller, Micro Module Gear2, Hagane Body, metal drag star, 7 Bearings and X-Ship so the pinion gear is supported by bearings. OK in Saltwater which is where I personally use the reel. Of course maintenance is required when used in SW as it is with any reel. In-Shore SW Bassing is definitely elevated with this JDM reel.

The 200 size Curado has a larger/heavier spool so it won't cast as far as the 150 because of the inertia of the spool.
