Fun fact, in botw it’s called the thunder helm. This is a completely different helmet reverse engineered by the Yiga (check the diary in the room that had a ton of bananas)
Yiga is a free version of the sheikah stealth armor that substitutes a little defense (come on, we're not wearing sheikah armor for the defense anyway) for essentially a Yiga monster mask. A yiga monster mask the gives you funny dialogue/scenes. -Yiga in disguise chat with you (which makes it safe to talk to people in the depths) -You get yelled at for trying to grab a mighty banana that is a trap (and it doesn't trigger the trap). -You also get unique dialogue with Paya, and the wholesale Gerudo gem buyer at Goron City mistakenly thinks you're yiga when she meets you. (there may be more interactions. I haven't found them yet tho) Friendship ended with Sheikah armor, Yiga armor is my new best friend.
If you wear the yiga armor while in gerudo town you’ll get thrown in jail and if you wear the armor and speak to impa she’ll scold you. Also there’s a special dialogue where if you end the Riju main quest line while wearing the armor, her attendant will tell you “I hate to tell you this but the attire you’re wearing is… not acceptable. What I mean to say is… I would ask you to not dress as an enemy. You’re wearing an item identical to what a group that regularly attacks us wears. You may return when you are dressed appropriately.” Then you get kicked out to the front gate of the town lmaoo Source: I ended the riju quest with the yiga armor and screenshotted Buliara’s reaction lol
There's also the interaction with Cece when you ask her for a fashion check, although you also get interactions for every other complete set (and being naked).
For me there is this weird thing with the great fairies, where I did one great fairy, with Violyn, but after that the musicians never showed up anymore, I checked every stable. Anyone have this problem too?
@@matteusle6545 You have to do Pyper's quest at the Outskirts Stable first, then there will be a drummer to find next (doing the questline without guides myself). Austin has a video covering the Great Fairies if you need more help!

If you give the Blademaster (the one that protects the Yiga shrine) a banana he will say “I’m on duty “”something”” self control”. And I think that’s hilarious.
I found a map in one of the Yiga hideouts that shows where the others were, but I mistook the Great Plateau for the Coliseum Ruins because of the stone stuff on the sides. The Yiga Clan tricked me into fighting a Gleeok.

Something about this quest just makes me smile. It was so well done, being able to disguise and chill with the yiga clan. Also the hidden dialogue from world npcs when you wear it.
i got the yiga mask by accident, went to go through the great plateau chasm, saw the old mans shack and wanted to visit. saw it was occupied by yiga’s, leading me to the mask. was quite the surprise, not as surprised as they seemed to be tho

I am surprised Austin didn't mention the map at each location telling you where the rest are. Plus, obviously the Yiga base is unchanged from Breath of the Wild, so I would have went there eventually (which is certainly why it's the quest starter location) , I had it done before the quest activated after finding my first Outpost exploring the great Plateau. Being able to safely get around the Depths (Yiga ignore you) is nice especially combined with Puff and Dazzlefruit.
I just took out and put a fan in the middle facing up. Then used the slowdown time to snipe enemies. Took down the needed enemies in 30 seconds for the lightning helm. The helm is GREAT for farming farosh. You can use Farosh parts to easily defeat Gibdos which show up in the final parts of the game.

I mean, it's only one use each, but if you fuse a rocket to your shield, that's basically a jetpack, right? Also note, that the Oshozan-u Shrine (Mallet Smash); at the top of the map, off center to the left; has an infinitely respawning Zonai Rocket in the first room. You can waltz right in, fuse every shield you own, and leave, as many times as you want; and this is a feature, not a bug so it will never be patched out.
I know it's not that strong, but i was so happy when i learn that we could getthe Earthwake Techniques that i tried to focus on doing this moat of the day yesterday.

Hey Austin! I'm actually curious about which regional phenomenon I should do next? I did tulins ( Which was absolutely awesome ) and can't decide which one I should go to next.
Goron sage's effect breaks ores and rocks. Garuda and Zora both offers strong ass legendary weapons after you beat the phenomenon and do a quest. Dev definitely did a good job balancing the phenomenon by rewards just only Rito is much better cuz of the sage's skill.
I don't remember from where exactly, but I accidentally ascended into the Akkala Lab once, they sounded mildly annoyed that I managed to get in, and then took me out to fight.
Yiga are great to farm for their one handed sword for its stealth attack bonus. Fuse it with a a strong item and along with a puff shroom, camps become child’s play
Puffshroom with Yiga Shortswords (especially Ice infused) makes the fights a joke as long as you see the question marks giving their locations away so you can sneak strike. They will aim and fire at where they think you are, but generally won't hit.
Could you make a video on light dragon farming? I'm trying to upgrade the champions leathers and I've watched others videos and none of them have proved very helpful.

Each sage ability has a cool down of about 10 seconds and activates by pressing a on the respective sage. Wind gives a horizontal gust of wind while gliding, super handy for traveling. Water gives a water bubble that protects against one attack and protects against fire. Fire gives a rolling projectile, good for mining or setting things on fire. Thunder creates a lightning strike where your next arrow lands, very good damage.

In BOTW I was OCD about getting every armor set. I'm not doing that for TOTK. I don't think I ever used the rubber armor, save once or twice in BOTW. The Yiga Armor is cool if you get the Earthquake move, and it's not too hard either, even with few hearts. I'd just go for the Yiga Armor, and earn the Lightning Helm. Good enough for me in this game.
Hey Austin there’s another better duplication glitch just shield jump or glide hold all 5 the item you want and just press y and b at the same time it’s way better to glide and do this cause you can do it about 5 times in a row if to much items are dropped they disappear so 5 or 6 max I think and you just land and repeat it’s so easy and is less stressful to do than the many other method I’ve seen I find it best to teleport to the rasitakiwak shrine over by tarry town just jump and glide of the cliff and do the method about 5 times in a row which is way more efficient this was literally found yesterday to so it’s Farley new so just wanted to let you know if you wanted to do a video on it or not
I thought you had to be wearing the Yiga Armor to use the earthquake move, but that's not the case. You can use it whilst wearing anything as long as you got the earthquake manual. Cool deal.

fun and amazing fact the lighthing helm they have isnt the original its a replica of the one the gerudo have, the book that is next to a banana in the ladder near the helm mission is tells you that also when you complete the challenges a guy opens a door that brings you to a room with a lot of bananas and if you talk to a yiga guy that he talking about link you can actually ask him who is link

I like the way the dialogue changes when you wear the armor.

You also need the yiga armor to unlock a shrine. The helm has a different name because its a knock off the yiga made.

Using a spear was a great idea. I didnt have a good sword to fuse so i used a mighty zonai spear and put a beam emitter on it, gives it great reach
Nice I used a Zora spear with topaz to stun them n it was all I needed

Use the stone blocks to jump off of and bullet time the yiga

You can dye the Yiga armor to the color of your liking in Hateno Village with no effect on the Yiga temple.
