There are other ways to play this on original hardware. 1. You can use an USB flash drive but your mileage may vary- the ps2 has a slow usb interface- some games will lag. 2. Burned copy of Burnout 3 with the patch but that requires a mod chip or use the FreeDVDBoot/ESR method to play backups discs without modchips (FreeDVDBoot do not require any softmod). 3. Another method is to use the memory card port with an adapter called: MC2SIO. This is relatively new on the scene and I have not tested it. Thank you for watching!
Burnout 3 is certainly one of my favourite all-time arcade racers. With the sense of speed, the wild collisions, top tier soundtrack, variety of game modes, and the online- it is worth revisiting!

Hi and thanks for watching. If you are loading games via Ethernet, online gaming like burnout 3 takedown will not work. You will have to load burnout 3 via burned disc, opl via hdd or usb.
Hi there! Yes this can be done on PS2 Slim. I would think the easiest way on PS2 Slim is to use OPL (Open PlayStation Loader) which allows you to load games via USB thumbdrive. You would take your modified ISO file that is patched and load it up. Should be pretty good!
Hey there and thanks for watching and your question. I do believe this should work on a backwards compatible PS3 (4 usb ports) that plays PS2 games. Non backwards compatible phat ps3's will not as it won't be able to emulate the network adapter.

Can confirm this works great via the MC2SIO, I was able to load up the game and get into lobbies!

I did something wrong. I can load games off my Ethernet connection, but when trying to connect with burnout, it says no hardware detected

Last time I checked this works for both PAL and NTSC version of Burnout 3.

I just tried it on my 60gb ps3 last night with an official copy and I had a network error saying the servers weren't up
