I had to ring up Acclaim's help line as a kid as I was stuck on Krusty's Fun House, and I ended up helping the operator get through the game as I'd gotten way past where he was!
Krustys Fun House was a horrible game... Had it on the SNES and, for me, it had about 5 minutes of playability. I'd have rated it 0 stars but it only goes down to one...
"The reason I'm following Violet around is because of a new software package for the Amiga" Damn that's a good excuse. Also, press 5 consecutively for a lot of megadrive :)
I can't believe I used to call Eidos help line every night back in 2004. I had such a difficult time getting through Tomb Raider: Angel Of Darlness. I used to sit on there for a good 10 or 15 minutes just writing all the info down lol. At that point it was all automated and they used recordings instead of live people.
I always loved a good tennis game. Pete Sampras on the Medgadrive by Codemasters was a good one. It had extra control pad sockets in the cart for up to 4 player games as did the Megadrive version of Micro Machines I picked up.
Oh my god...I was just going mad watching videos on the GIF/JIF debate, and TH-cam suggested your Bad Influence video in the side bar...so I finally took a break, and relaxed with your video....only to find three and a half minutes in you're talking about the GIF/JIF debate, XD. Lol. Is there no escape? XD.
Well, not really, because Channel 4 and ITV had a cross-promotional deal at the time. Besides which, Bad Influence and GM might have been the same subject matter, but they didn't really compete because they filled different slots and were marketed to different ages, although I'm sure many watched both.
I did it with the audio back in the early 90's using my Amiga's sound sampler. I discovered that in the scene where the nightclub owner is shouting at Kryten about starting a fight, he's actually saying, "You are a stupid, square-headed bald git, aren't you?" He then points at Rimmer and says that although he's pointing at him, he's not addressing him. He's "addressing the one prat in the country who's bothered to get hold of this recording, turn it round and work out the rubbish that I'm saying. What a poor, sad life he's got!" So yeah, I was that poor, sad prat.
Rick Ibbott there's a reversed version of Backwards on disc 2 of the Series 3 DVD called Backwards Forwards, and some of the reversed speech turned out to be real, while some of it was gobbledegook :-)
Awesome 90's stuff, alltrough i wonder was that camcorder black & white or that software editor or that digitizer??? Also was it possible to view your recordings in a full window screen, eitherway, it looks more like gameboy camera quality. Yeah the day's before internet became mainstream.
That cheat guy always strikes me as a washed up crusty ex-punk who did a lot of speed in his day trying to get a job that will handle his life long come down
It would be before MS Windows 3.11 because, said Windows version came out in '93 That video resolution on the computer is about 200x160 Nostalgia Nerd, you could find this ancient software on line, then run it through an emulator if you want to be accurate 😊👍 How he edited it, reminds me of Dennis from Jurassic Park, "ah ah ah, you didn't say the magic word, ah ah ah, ah ah ah"!🤣 Yep!!! There's no mistaking early 90's fashion!😂
Never watched this as a kid, but not because I didn't like it. We didn't really have anything like this in America. I would have loved it if we did. Actually I'm genuinely enjoying watching these decades old episodes now so thanks for posting them. And damnit, it's GIF. NOT pronounced "jiff". I know it can be but it sound dumb. It starts with a G damnit!
Indiana Jones never came out on the Mega Drive, Sega dropped it because the bad early reviews, but it passed the Nintendo quality seal and came out on the SNES lol
what baffled me is i think this was before the Super Game Boy existed and if it wasn't SEGA and Atari didn't produce anything similar ....so how did they film Game Boy, Game Gear & Lynx footage
Paul Potter possibly, but with GB borders and colours? Display units didnt have the border feature thats a super game boy feature, and they usually output GB footage in black and white monochrome I dont think its a post production thing either because if i remember correctly (and i could be wrong i would have to watch an episode) the Lynx and GG reviews didnt have a border witch you would think they would add one Bloody mystery
Dude, the Nintendo Power Line was a free service and the phone number was just a regular toll call at (425) 885-7529 in America. However, long distance charge may apply, but that was a charge by the phone company, not Nintendo.
I had to ring up Acclaim's help line as a kid as I was stuck on Krusty's Fun House, and I ended up helping the operator get through the game as I'd gotten way past where he was!
I hope you reversed the charges!
Nostalgia Nerd
He might have rang me back for them, It was so long ago...
Krustys Fun House was a horrible game... Had it on the SNES and, for me, it had about 5 minutes of playability. I'd have rated it 0 stars but it only goes down to one...
Nostalgia Nerd sounds like bollocks
Some very savvy kids in this one! "They're just churning out any old stuff for Christmas." I wish I'd have realised that back in 1992.
Adam cracks me up. Even when he's happy with a game he sounds like he's five hours into a read-through of the South West Trains timetable.
Right? Those review kids have about as much charisma as a brick wall. Totally emotionless.
"The reason I'm following Violet around is because of a new software package for the Amiga"
Damn that's a good excuse.
Also, press 5 consecutively for a lot of megadrive :)
Great stuff. I found it super scary that I remember all that episode almost word for word yet cant do basic maths.
Awesome...totally awesome!!!!!! I was waiting for Chumbawamba to show up!!!!
"I wanted to give this game zero stars, but the scale only goes down to one" Ouch
I went to Gamesmaster Live in 1992. I still have a Dominik Diamond signed T-Shirt and the guide book
I failed miserably at the Sonic challenge
People forget how hard video editing was in the 90's that Amiga bit of kit was revolutionary at the time.
Nam Rood! Slimey furtlers :) good times and great upload !

I noticed it was an Amiga 500 Plus - Saw one of the two blank keys
marathoning your channel so good!
That game counsler hotlne ran for almost 20 years that's nuts man. 1987 to 2005,So right before the launch of the wii.
What does Z say at 7:07? Pooflows? Is that an American thing?
I can appreciate the audio "ducking" you incorporate
Oh my god...I was just going mad watching videos on the GIF/JIF debate, and TH-cam suggested your Bad Influence video in the side bar...so I finally took a break, and relaxed with your video....only to find three and a half minutes in you're talking about the GIF/JIF debate, XD. Plugging GamesMaster on Bad Influence must've stung!
Well, not really, because Channel 4 and ITV had a cross-promotional deal at the time. Besides which, Bad Influence and GM might have been the same subject matter, but they didn't really compete because they filled different slots and were marketed to different ages, although I'm sure many watched both.
Did reversing the Red Dwarf episode "Backwards" actually work? I've always been curious about that.
Rick Ibbott Worth doing

Elliott Jumpshoe Love that you used an Amiga
Paul Potter Yep! It was an A1200 with the MegaMix Master sound sampler.

Andy Crane just invented TH-cam poops
I think all adults are paid actors , the kid playing sf2 with guile , all he did was use fierce kick the entire round. Great skill
Violet's looking good in her skin tight leopard top and black skirt, nice 👌👍
Play Zyconix just for the music, it's top notch.
That hater kid would be amazing at TH-cam comments.
you never know he might be on here somewhere lol... wonder where they all are today?
Indiana Jones never came out on the Mega Drive, Sega dropped it because the bad early reviews, but it passed the Nintendo quality seal and came out on the SNES lol
Hahah the red dwarf backward episode.
I wonder what Adam is up to these days...
Assignable Jack Being a massive Bell end like he was as a kid?
what baffled me is i think this was before the Super Game Boy existed and if it wasn't SEGA and Atari didn't produce anything similar ....so how did they film Game Boy, Game Gear & Lynx footage
Tony Spike I always wondered that. They used the shop display version that output to a monitor.
Paul Potter possibly, but with GB borders and colours?

Bloody mystery
Tony Spike Most likely special models, which could also explain magazine screenshots
Paul Potter possibly ....a home brew monitor perhaps?
The bad influence crew WERE proper little techie furtlers
Tony Spike They were indeed
Adam's the man!
As a Scots person. I've heard worse attempts, really! Soild three out of five!
Super tennis! ;)
Bombjack!!
If it wasn't for the Guile hair cut Violet would have been a babe.
Dude, the Nintendo Power Line was a free service and the phone number was just a regular toll call at (425) 885-7529 in America. However, long distance charge may apply, but that was a charge by the phone company, not Nintendo.
