Yip, one of the best and most underrated features of the Amiga was the hardware cursor. Mouse was polled and responded responded perfectly at 60fps no matter what else was going on. Really made games like Lemmings and Theme Park stand out on the Amiga!
Man I feel so OLD as I remember watching these back when they were NEW! I wanted to be a game creator so bad back then and this show gave me ideas, but I could never even figure out Z80 machine code.
loved seeing the Mega CD. My parents got me a Mega CD 2 when it was on sale in Curry's for £60. I was ecstatic but I had never seen a model 1 until I bought one myself around 10 years ago.
Seeing Genesis Games running at 50hz under PAL, especially Sonic, is just brutal. I know folks in the UK didn't know the difference, but, even the music is a slower BPM.
Did you have a short lived computer based franchise called "Fona" in your area? It was the place I first saw Lemmings packs for the Amiga - I'm kinda convinced they turned into "Tiny" as far as shipping Intel based x86 beige boxes went but they also catered for consoles etc, "Window shopping" in a basic suit let you play with all the fun stuff in stores (Jag Alien Vs. Predator completion on a display cabinet; check) at the time, despite being too young to be able to purchase such things. The shop floor guys were well informative too, for some reason. Cut n Paste in a GUI style way of working, would probably have to go down in history with Xerox's Alto. Also with Vector style editing. It was way ahead of its time.
We had a cdi at school back in 93/94 I remember playing that golf game, was amazing back at the time. I had the A570 cd-rom drive and that was brilliant for the time, software support was non existant though, quickly dropped for the cd32 :-(
One of my favorite episodes of Bad Influence episode was when they had a guy in demonstrating the midi / music features of the Amiga and Atari ST...I would love to see that again...I think it was in the last of the series. Around that time when I was 15 I had a Mega ST, a year later an Amiga 500 and a year after that an Amiga 1200 which I used for music besides graphic design. I think Bad Influence did manage to show the 1200 but very little in the way of games. I still produce trance / ambient /film music today, on the PC with Presonus Studio One 3 currently..
24 years later we still playing games but backthen it was more fun with at the time revolution technology, these day's gaming is at kinder garden level,but backthen,especialy in the EARLY 8bit age, it required pixel precision decisions & timing. Back in 1993 it had to get used with nes and rarely played sega genesis or snes, eventrough i wanted a 16bit system so back, heck i remember playing sonic the hedgehog on mc donalds, now that was awesome, oh yeah those hey day's moment backthen were just sooo exciting!!!

Ecco to this day I am still not sure if it was genius or utter crap. 93 was the year of the CD, I still remember trying to explain what a multimedia CD was to my mum she never did get it. Sorry a Sony what ? I do not remember that at all..
In a few months I would have been graduating 12th grade. Around June of 93'. Around this time I was too busy going out and partying lol. I totally left all my geekier friends behind and was hanging with the cool kids, LOL. I would have probably had a diff career had I not changed my friends up. Kinda worked out though, I wouldn't have done well working inside an office and all. I'm outside 40hrs a week(under shade mostly).

I only had two consoles in my life, Family (NES) but a weird one because u can put two types of cartridges small and big, I always thought that the big was SNES and the small NES, but that cant be at least in that times because it was just a NES I guess mmm, and then my last console was a Sega, and the weird part was that I had a Mega Drive with that giant control with only ABC keys nobody that I know had a Mega Drive all of my friends had Genesis with small controlls with abc and xyz, I live in Argentina so I dont understand why I get a Mega Drive instead of a Genesis, I remember my first Sega game... Chuck Rock, for me one of the best Sega games of all times xD and my first NES game was TMNT the 1989/90 version
