I think Mercedes always had diesel hybrids in their line up, I mean if MPG is the end goal then diesel hybrid is hard to beat. But I guess you need to take into consideration the diesel emissions , which get a bad rap
@@AnnaOnRoads Witam Anna, XC60 always been a great vehicle. As of 2022, Volvo Australia no longer offer any diesel here. Volvo quickly going hydrid & EV. I doubt they will offer diesel anywhere for much longer. For long range country driving, the economy of diesel is definitely the best way to go.
I love Volvo interiors, and their engines are so good too, They should scrap that all electric plan for all their models and allow us to choose. The numbers don't lie. Great review Anna keep up the good work.
Anna described the acceleration as “salubrious”. English is my native language and I had to look this word up! BTW - The XC60 is great off-road. It has 23 cm ground clearance, which is great for a 4 wheel drive SUV.
I couldn’t agree with you more. The Volvo XC60 is an elegant, classy, an amazing at getting up to speed as I own a Volvo XC60 T6. An like always another great review. Keep up the good work.
Another sterling review Anna. Just had my 500X serviced and my dealer had a Stelvio Quadrofoglio (red) in the showroom. Only seen a few on the road with that package and this was the first one I got to study up close. Not that different visually; six faux hood scoops/vents and quad exhaust tips and of course the emblems. 🍀 $90,000 sticker💰 but man, what a fast, potent machine with sexy and beautiful Italian style and panache.
Well said Anna--I'll worry about "man-made climate change" and "rising sea levels" when the hypocrites building mansions the size of a small city 🏰three feet from the ocean's edge worry about it. Every hysterical doomsday prediction of the last 60 plus years has failed to transpire....but they're telling the truth THIS time, right???? 😒
Thanks for another informative review Anna. The Volvo is a competent SUV that won't break the bank. I love the beige interior which is quite sophisticated in my view. For some bizzare reason virtually all new vehicles that come into NZ either have a black or grey interior. I can only assume that we are simply getting the unwanted residual from car manufacturers or the NZ importers have not yet arrived into the 21st century and realized that multiple color options are available.
Once again another great superbly presented and edited review Ana. I do like the XC60 but I'm not a fan of more and more controls moving to the touch screen telly. It's not a cheap car to buy though but running costs look OK from a fuel perspective. If I could justify it I'd take one for a test. Having said all that I'd definitely go for the red without a doubt, it would match the cherry on the cake. Thanks for sharing Anna.
I love diesels I love those Volvos they’re timeless,I love when the Elites preach about saving the planets in their private planes ps is there Anyway we can clone Anna I need her to run for President of the United States.
Excellent review Anna. You just know that you going to be safe in a Volvo. Great looking SUV but I think you might be right that it would look better in that red that you shown. I love that interior with the black and beige as well as the beige wood trimmings and how simple and so practical the interior is. I think that's quite good that Volvo is working with Google and putting Google chips in the car for the entertainment system. I saw waiting for my car to get service the other day and I went and had a look at a Volvo showroom and what the sales guy was saying about Volvo and the cars and brand as well as the first car brand to use Google chips in there cars. I was very impress by them especially how safety conscious for the people inside and out side of the vehicle. Great SUV. Brilliant video great B roles and top class presenting as always. Well, All the best Anna. :-)
If you do lots of miles you can't beat the B5 diesel euro6 engine, cleaner than the petrol engines and given how batteries are manufactured and charged arguably cleaner to the environment come 100k miles. Batteries have a limited life and the energy needed to manufacture these far outway the benefits.
8 litres ? I get 6 litres from Paris to Dortmund regularly in my xc90 b5 mild hybrid diesel ! Driving to work and back , 125km it averages 5.5 litres to a 100 km . This is 51 miles to an imperial gallon.
Volvo is a real alternative now to the big 4 - Porsche, Mercedes, BMW and Audi. So why Volvo above the Germans? Well their Diesel engines are very reliable and their cars keep going for years. We had a 32 year old Volvo station wagon in my older sisters family, which they sold to a student for $450. You can still get some of your money back after 32 years😜
To the car manifacturers: do NOT put climate control in the rear like that, that is an important leverage point for car corn! Put it on the roof with the dome lights!
Diesel hybrid? I thought the “D” word equated to death to cars equipped with one. Thank you VW. Meanwhile, back on icy roads, the only thing that matters are serious hands on the wheel which is standard here. Cold out? How about a cup of Swiss Miss hot chocolate, or much better, watch and listen to the real McCoy…
Well here in the UK the idiots of Westminster have declared no new petrol or diesel cars can be purchased after 2030. This will have serious repercussions if allowed to continue. Second hand car prices are very high now and will stay that way. So to answer the question, yes, it's a dinosaur and is about to become extinct. And what do you call a dinosaur with one eye? I think he saurus! Sorry!
Is this car a bit of a dinosaur? What do YOU think?
Quite attractive dinosaur but without any emotions🤷🏻♂️
👍✌️
@@_b_k I think this is Volvo. It's classy, elegant, subtle, truth be told, it's the people who bring emotions ;-)
I think it's to big.

Have to agree with your comments about the XC 60 .I have the T5 design and I love it
Hi Anna,
I would say its herbivore Dinosaur, more calm and not aggressive. Great daily family vehicle.
Top marks again Anna, for production, quality and information all delivered with style.
Another great review. I drive a Volvo XC90 plug in hybrid and could not like it more. Truly under rated vehicles.

Haha, thank you Jim. Yes, absolutely, a great off-roader, actually this is what the XC60 is all about - flexibility and versatility.

Brilliant review! Many emotions and not much dry technical information. I love it! Beautiful Anna and awesome Volvo XC60 👍👍👍
Lovely video. I drive a 2022 R-Design AWD diesel and love it!
Would it be rude for me to say I love you? Wonderful review again and as usual. Thanks for your content and opinion. ❤️from 🇨🇦
Thank you Dan, it wouldn't be rude at all! ❤️

Great car and love the braces 😊
Anna on the road💪💪💪
That’s my car! Except I have the 3.0 petrol engine. And mines not new. And it’s red.
Hi Ben! Your 3.0 has 300 hp, and it has oodles of power. The Polestar version has 325 horsepower. I love the Polestar blue.
Oh, that's a beauty!!!

Hallo Anna, wie geht es dir? Ich vermisse dich so am Klausenpass. Deine Videos waren einfach grossartig 😘😘😘
Good review Anna. You seem to be getting traction on Facebook as well. Kudos my friend. 😎👍🏻❤️
Thank you very much Cliff :-)
good for Volvo good for us
so it's 37 deg in Europe and -7 in Annaland ?
If you were picking between the Phev or B4 or B5 diesel, which would you prefer? Don’t think about price for now.
To be honest, all 3 are brilliant. I would go for the PHEV if I was driving short distances :-)

We want to see the Alfa Romeo Tonale test.
When was the video recorded? Seems like a delayed upload 😉
Would it 🤔 be sexist to say the strut at the beginning was the best part?

Minus 6? Looks hot from here. Juvenile comment aside, this week addition of differences on spec options / availability between countries 👍🏾

To the car manifacturers: do NOT put climate control in the rear like that, that is an important leverage point for car corn! Put it on the roof with the dome lights!
the fuel economy is the biggest selling point
I just wish it has more Horse Power and not a Diesel. Just my preference.
