    Hey what a great video. I just got back into the war against the pins and finished my first season. I realized that I need to reset my arsenal, after using some replugged balls I was given. The battlefield we play on is 90% house pattern, with some dry as toast. I am 57 and a straight shooter very low rev rate old school player. I was thinking of a three ball arsenal. I play mostly between 2nd and 3rd arrows and let the ball float and stand up from breakpoint into the pocket. (almost a flat banana) I Loft the ball a bit as I can’t bend the left knee much to lay ball down properly. I try to adjust the speed and hand angles (up/down, left/right, depends on what my ball is doing and where it drops off in the pit) to let the ball do it’s job and hit the pocket with as much energy it can build when standing up. I know you would rather I come to you, but I am an ExPat living in Germany. What three balls (or with my playing style if I even need three) would you suggest I look into getting. We are in between seasons and I want to get in a lot of practice with the new equipment before we try to bash the wood again.. I would like to have an idea of what I should get, and want feel out if my local PSO knows what he is talking about. Thanks again for sharing you knowledge. 😊

    • @johnc_450
      @johnc_450 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for taking the time to reply. I am using two used Storm balls. Had them plugged and redrilled. Was not sure if my knee would hold up, but now I have trust in it. So now it’s time to think of my equipment. March Up is one. The previous owner assured me nothing was done to it so it should still have its 1500 cover out of the box. The second it a Marvel, I saved it from the trash bin and bought it off for 20 Euros. I changed the cover to 4000 for really dry lanes (oil is expensive for the lane owners), it does well in last 3 games of a 6 game set. The Match Up is more consistent and predictable. Very rare that Match Up does not drop off between the 8 and 9 pin into the pit. Sometimes the Marvel get bullied by the pins and come back crying. Guess it is losing too much energy because of the cover. Not sure on that. The Marvel leaves the flat 10 and sometimes the 9 depending on my concentration of my hand position. Could keep it for a NoTap Tournament.
      I use the Relax, Firm, and Strong position and then I adjust my hand tilted more or less to inside or not. Depends on how much movement I need to adjust. I am right handed and finger/thumb player. Thanks again for your time. Stay Safe.
      If I think about it, the Match Up with its out of the box 1500 is my real go to ball. I try to keep it as long as I can in the game. The Marvel has the pin above the ring finger a little to the right. The Match Up pin is about an inch above the bird finger offset a little to the left.
      I avg. 180 on house shot last season. Each game day was in different bowling alley’s. I avg. on house shot on my home bowling ally 190 to 195.

    Only got 3 balls, I use my eternity 90% of the time because lane conditions arent too fresh or heavy, and it reacts exactly how I picture it to. Have my absolute as my "benchmark" ball, get a read for the lane, and or blend the pattern before I switch to my eternity. Then for those dry lanes, I run my Raw, allows me to get my ball down lane, with little or moderate hook.

    I do have to ask, where is your proshop located?
    Also, I am in a bit of a pickle, I have a certificate from Storm that I got from a local tournament and I am not what symmetrical bowling ball to get, it means I can get one free ball from Storm themselves. I am currently debating on whether I get a TNT or a Revenant. For context I mainly use two bowling balls, the Roto Grip Gem and 2018 Hammer Web and I shoot on the right side of the land (right handed) and i have been struggling to stay consistant on strikes depending on the oil pattern. I just want to know what would be the best choice for me to improve my bowling.

      I’m at Strike Ten ProShop in Columbus, Ga. But if your looking for a good piece to help your game, based on what you have a TNT or Revenant would be good. I would say TNT if you have speed and your lanes are oily. Revenant if the lanes are drier. But both are good options!

      On the Brunswick side, a Defender Hybrid is a great ball, would be a great 1-2 punch off the Strata I think. Track Tundra Fire is a great bang for your buck, would be good when the lanes get dry or the Strata or Defender may just be too much.

    • @justbowltv
      @justbowltv  ปีที่แล้ว

      It could be a multitude of reasons. It could be your finger pitches, the grip is too small/tight. And if you bowl with a thumb, possibly the same. If it’s your overall hand then I would say span.

      if you have the money to buy bowling balls and learn to bowl better you should have at least 2/3 bowling balls I think.
      the bowling shoo where you go to buy bowling balls knows this too
      but i would buy 2 strike balls.
      a solid for example the game breaker 2
      and a reactive bowling ball like the zen or the black widow 2.0
      3rd ball is a spare ball
      if you have too much hook and can't throw off the 10 pin with your strike ball
      you must have a spare ball
