    Chocolate Souffle
    120 g dark chocolate (60% cocoa)
    2 tablespoons of butter
    4 eggs, room temperature
    4 heaping tablespoons (100 g) powdered sugar
    2 pinches of salt
    4 tablespoons (70 g) flour
    80 ml milk
    Granulated sugar, for coating
    For topping,
    1 pack cream,200 g, (35% fat),
    Powdered sugar
    • Set a pot of simmering water, combine the dark chocolate and butter. Stir until melted and mixture is smooth. Remove from heat and let cool.
    • Meanwhile, separate the whites and yolks of the eggs.
    • In a separate bowl, add the half of 2 tablespoons powdered sugar and 1 pinch of salt to the egg yolks and whisk until the egg yolks turn white. In this way, the egg smell in the souffle will be minimized.
    • Start whisking the egg whites in a large steel round bowl with 1 pinch of salt at low speed.
    • When the egg whites start to rise slightly, slowly add 2 tablespoons of powdered sugar to the bowl and continue beating. Slowly increase the speed and beat until soft peak forms.
    • Sieve the flour in chocolate mixture.
    • Then add the milk and give it a mix.
    • Grease four ramekins butter and coat with granulated sugar.
    • Gently fold the egg yolk mixture into egg white mixture. It is important to fold it in the same direction always.
    • after that, add the chocolate mixture and again fold it gently until combined.
    • Divide the mixture into ramekins.
    • Bake in the air fryer at 200 C (390 F) for 10 minutes.
    • Sprinkle powdered sugar on them and serve immediately.
    • Serve with cream and before eating, slit the centre with a spoon and pour some cream. Voila! air fryer chocolate souffle is ready to enjoy!
    Köfte
250 gr minced meat (you can use beef, lamb or mutton, whichever you like is fine)
    1 small onion, halved
4 handfuls of stale breadcrumbs, crusts removed, (alternatively, 4 slices of bread works great as well)
1/2 teaspoon baking soda or baking powder
    1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
1 teaspoon butter (skip butter if your meat is fatty)
    • To prepare the köfte, add the stale breadcrumbs or slices and onion in a food processor and pulse for 30 seconds.
    • Add in the minced meat, baking soda, butter, salt and black pepper. Continue to pulse until it becomes a paste.
    • Wet your hands and shape the mixture into flat round patties. Press your fingers on each patty to increase the surface area or you can shape them into balls.
    • Cook the köfte in air fryer at 200 C (390 F) for 5-6 minutes. You can freeze them as well after cooking and heat before eating at the same temperature.

    Crispy Fried Chicken
1 piece chicken breast fillet, diced or sliced(≈250 gr /≈0,5 oz)
1 piece boneless chicken thigh (≈150 gr /0,33 oz)
    4 pieces chicken wings
    4 tablespoons flour
    1 heaping tablespoon garlic powder
    1 heaping tablespoon hot paprika
1 heaping tablespoon coarse black pepper
    1 heaping tablespoon salt
    3 eggs
    3 tablespoons cream (%35 fat)
6-7 handful of plain corn flakes (≈250 gr /≈7 oz)
    - You need 3 stations for the crispy coating of the chicken. Take 3 medium sized trays. Add the first one 4 tablespoons of flour and mix it with half tablespoon of salt. On the other side of the tray, mix half tablespoon of salt, garlic powder, hot paprika and black pepper. Don’t mix the spices with the salted flour and you can use a little tabasco as well.
    - For the second station, beat the eggs and cream with a pinch of salt.
    - The last station is plain corn flakes. Crash 6-7 handfuls of corn flakes in a plastic bag and put them to third tray. It is ok to have some chunks as well.
    - For the boneless thigh, just make a cut to the thick part to make it thinner. It will help to cook easier and evenly.
    - First coat the chicken pieces with the spice mixture. Shake the excess spice and place them into flour and -again- shake the excess flour and dip them into the egg mixture.
    - Take out with a fork so you can drain the excess liquid and finally coat them with corn flakes.
    - Then place them into air fryer. Spray or brush them with oil and cook the thighs and wings for 8 minutes, breast pieces for 5-6 minutes on 200 C (390 F) until golden brown.
    Air fryer Pide
    200 gr all-purpose flour
    120 ml water, lukewarm
    1 teaspoon dry yeast
    A pinch of sugar
    1 heaped teaspoon salt
    1 egg
    1 teaspoon sesame seeds
    1 teaspoon nigella seeds
    - Mix the water and yeast in a cup and add the sugar. Let the mixture sit for 3 minutes.
    - Combine the flour, salt and yeast water mixture in a large bowl.
    - Mix and knead the dough for about 6 minutes until you have smooth and elastic dough.
    - Grease the dough and bowl and cover with a damped kitchen cloth. Let the dough rise for 30 minutes at room temperature.
    - After rising, transfer the dough on your counter and divide into two equal balls.
    - Dust your work surface with flour and flatten the balls. Shape them into 15-20 cm (4-8 in) rounds with your hands. You can use a rolling pin for shaping as well.
    - Place the dough on a baking paper. Cover with a kitchen cloth and let it proof for 15-20 minutes.
    - Beat the egg and brush on top of the dough. Sprinkle the sesame seeds and nigella seeds or you can garnish with boiled beetroot, rosemary and flake salt.
    - Place the dough in your air fryer with the baking paper. Bake for 4 minutes at 200 C (390 F). Then take out the paper and bake for another 4-5 minutes until golden.
    Air Fryer Mac & Cheese
    3 + 1/3 cups milk, 800 ml
    200 g elbow pasta
    1 teaspoon garlic powder
    1/2 teaspoon of black pepper
    1/2 teaspoon salt
    1/4 freshly ground nutmeg
1 sprig of rosemary, leaves picked
3 slices of cured meat, chopped, 20 g, any cured meat that you love is great,
3 handfuls of shredded mozzarella, 150 g, any melting cheese works great
    For topping,
    Rosemary & chili flakes
    - Place a heatproof enamel or pyrex bowl into your airf ryer or use its own baking pan if there is one.
    - Add the elbow pasta to a heatproof enamel or glass bowl.
    - Add in the milk, garlic powder, black pepper, salopen t and nutmeg and mix.
    - Cook in air fryer at 200 C (390 F) for 22 minutes, mixing halfway
    - Mix in the dried meat, rosemary and the one third of the mozzarella in pasta.
    - Sprinkle the rest of the mozzarella on top of the pasta.
    - Sprinkle some rosemary and chili flakes and cook for another 5 minutes, and your wonderful pasta is ready to enjoy!
    Crispy Fall Veggies
    1 beetroot, diced
    2 handfuls of diced pumpkin
2 handfuls of broccolis, roughly chopped
    3 tablespoons olive oil
2 cloves of garlic, grated or mashed
    A pinch of salt
    A pinch of oregano
A pinch of chili flakes or paprika
    - You can use any vegetable you like for this recipe. The idea is mix veggies with some olive oil and spices and crisp them in air fryer. Easy and perfect! Just be careful to chop the broccolis bigger than pumpkin and beetroot, because until they get cooked broccoli can get burn.
    - Mix the pumpkin, beetroot and broccoli with the olive oil, garlic, salt, oregano and chili flakes.
    - Cook in air fryer at 180 C (355 F) for 12-4 minutes.
    - For the perfect air fried eggplants, mix diced eggplants with salt and olive oil and cook at 180 C (355 F) for 15-18 minutes or until crispy.

Please, use your brain. She's not a chef but a marketer. She's studied marketing not gastronomy, anyway. And doesn't give a flick about airfyer or cooking, just money and uses all the tricks and emotions to sell. At the present, Phillips has launched advertisement for Airfryers and sent many social media personalities exactly those 2 colours and the model. Actually, this model is pretty old. 10 years ago these type of airfryers were used. Air fryers have evolved so much now. These 2 are like from cave era. She's selling Phillips, this model, not an airfryer.

I am now using my second airfryer. My friend gladly accepted my first one which despite my using it lots still looked like new.
The Tower one has a rotisserie, a cast iron plate for steaks, and shelves for baking. You can cook two pizzas easily. Think my large oven just became obsolete. I use pressure cooker for soups and stews, and i am looking for a home for my microwave, because it takes up too much room in my tiny kitchen considering I often only use it to heat milk.😂😂
Wonder if i could use my airfryer to heat the milk to make yoghurt? It has a good temperature range.
I love you and all your helpers. I love your humour and your grasp of reality which lots of tv chefs seem to have lost.
Where I live in North London there are many Turkish and Cypriot people. They are my neighbours and friends. And have great shops with wonderful fruits, veg, and fresh meat. I am so lucky.
    Thank you my dear.

A practical airfryer pizza tip! I copied the drawer onto a piece of paper, then cut a copy out from one of the thin, cheap Ikea cutting boards - voila, a pizza template! When I’m making a pizza, I just pull out a ready made dough (leave paper on) and cut it with appr. 4 cm extra around the edge, then cut out a square at each corner, then fold the edges in 2 cm, so you have a double edge around the template, but not on the very corners. Use a fork to make holes all over the middle. Put the dough in the airfryer and bake 6 minutes at 195˚C. Now you have a prebaked pizza crust with edges that stand up perfectly, so you use the space in your airfryer drawer (or basket, depending on model) optimally and the bottom of your pizza will be beautifully done without overdone sides (because you prebake the sides covered by baking parchment. If you use homemade dough, just roll or spread it out on parchment and use it in the same way!

I purchased my Philips airfryer back in 2015. Very few people knew about it then! Unfortunately the first generation air fryer basket is tiny, so I have to make two-three rounds of everything. I used to fry manti (dumplings) as appetizers when friends came over. And also I regularly use it for making fresh crispy croutons for soups. I just toss stale bread cubes in olive oil and airfry - ready in 3 minutes, even before the soup heats up!

I'm an Airfryer enthusiast too. Been using it for more than 7 years...gave me a chuckle to see you love it too. It's great for cooking sausages straight from the freezer without adding any additional fat. I make my browned( caramelized)onion julliennes in it with just a tsp of oil instead of deep frying. Takes between 4 to 6 minutes....great for biryani topping.

I love you, Refika, I truly do, but I had a bad experience after watching this video a year ago. I did buy a Philips air fryer, one of the higher-end available to me on Amazon in the US last summer. And I did try 3 different ways to cook in it before I sent it back...perhaps I got a lemon!
Meanwhile, I did a lot of research and found the Breville countertop convection oven. It has been a godsend! Where I live, last summer we experienced 133 days over 100 degrees F.
I've always been jealous of your convection oven in the videos!
You see, it takes nearly 30 minutes to preheat our oven to 400 degrees F. The Breville? Less than 4 minutes. And with the convection fan everything cooks quickly and cools down very quickly.
This summer has started out much less dastardly, but I'm leaning on the Breville and the good old standby, crockpot, to cook in order to keep our house cooler.
If you decide to look into the Breville, know that it is not made of plastic or Teflon.
Seriously, I really love you for all that you do to teach me and I hope you won't feel hurt by this comment! You are an especial treasure to all of us!

Superb video Refika! Adding two cons - one is that I have the older model with the wire basket and I have to use a aluminium foil so that food does not stick in between the wires and becomes difficult to clean. Second one is that you cannot use it for very light foods like the Indian papad or popcorn because the high air flow makes it fly and stick to the upper coils.

get one of those metal wire racks and just place it over your light food. If its too small, like popcorns (I wouldn't do it in the airfryer anyways as the stovetop is quick enough) a mesh might work? I once made kale chips in mine and some of the leaves did blow up into the element... the ones that survived turned out great (for kale), but if I had known about the metal wire rack idea, it would probably have been better.

I decided, on a whim, to try making myself a single serving baked custard with supermarket custard and 1 egg in the airfryer, and it was absolutely divine, It was perfect. I added some golden syrup afterwards and it was a great success although I want to try putting the syrup in first and then adding the custard. I turned the heat down to about 90 C and just kept checking if the centre was still wobbly. I've also made a successful bread pudding, also on a lower heat and then turned the temperature up for the last few minutes to brown the top. I've also made baked custard in my rice cooker/steamer but I preferred the way it turned out in the air fryer. It's just a matter of experimenting with timing and temperature. This gadget is so cool I bought two. One is the regular one, and one is more of an oven type one... I will make the meat in one and then the veggies in the other one. So easy! If you are scared, just keep checking your progress often, shake the food around... adjust the temp... till you get to know your stuff. The first thing we cooked was lamb pinwheel skewers. My sister-in-law tried to boil eggs on the stove at the same time. Before her eggs were even cooked, we were finished cooking our meat to crispy, juicy perfection.
It's great for grilling meats and veggies, just remember not to crowd things. I've done a pork belly ala Asian style and it was DIVINE... I grilled seekh kebabs and it is sooooo good - juicy inside, crispy outside... It is marvelous for fish, especially salmon. You get the most moist and juicy flaky fish, with a lovely crispy skin.
It's great for any breaded food like fish sticks or onion rings etc. You can even "deep fry" in it but you have to keep applying oil to the food, so those types of foods I'll just buy cooked/frozen and re-heat/re-crisp in the airfryer. I also love re-heating pizza in the airfryer.
What I find a bit silly is using it for baking as I don't like the odd looking rising end results. It will taste fine, but it looks weird. Just use the oven.
People on the group I've joined for airfryer recipes judge and criticize you for still using oil, or putting a container in there that stops the flow of air... I say oil makes it better tasting and drips off anyway. If you want to put a container in there and block the airflow, it still works - like magic!
Cleaning it is a bit of a pain, but I don't clean the element part, just the tray and the basket... It hasn't killed me yet so the splatters probably bake hard like a cast iron pan's coating does, and the food bits burn away during use.

Fish is wonderful in the air fryer. If you dust it with flour, dip it in egg and then roll it in panko crumbs, about 4 minutes on one side and 2 minutes on the other it is perfectly cooked and very crunchy. Or just put the fish fillet in the air fryer by itself and cook for 4 minutes on one side and two on the other. It will be perfectly cooked and still very moist on the inside.
