Thanks for this video. We were there in September in the heat (but it's a dry heat) and we loved it. So many strange shapes to see, wonderful. It's out of this world.
Sooo...THAT was amazing! Lovely of you folks to share your time out there-very generous, thank you. I didn't want the clip to end! The wind noise only served to authenticate the experience of feeling like we were there with you-great filming and stills~thanks again!
I LIVE IN NM AND HAVE NOT BEEN HERE YET! I will be visiting here shortly! I hope you are going to Carlsbad Caverns & White Sands too?? I will be going and putting video up too. Thanks for the GREAT video!
Wow so fantastisk so Beautiful💞 I have newer seen any thing like this. Thank you for shearing🌈 I enjoy this soo much. Thank you bouth 💞🎀💞. Gretings from DK 💞🌎💞
Awesome stuff. Thanks for sharing. Do y'all ever see gemstones or fossils when you're out and about? I know you can't take stuff from state or federal parks, just curious.
Solo Roamin' Yup, see quite a few fossils, especially sea shells, seems a lot of the desert areas in the South West used to be a huge inland sea millions of years ago and not really even looking for them.
I've been making a list of places to visit when motorcycle camping and discovered the Bisti Badlands after watching the Malice episode of Stargate Universe. It was filmed there as an alien planet landscape, and it certainly does look alien. I was interested to learn from your video that there is BLM land where dispersed camping is permitted.
I liked your video, but it was a little grainy as it can up on TH-cam; it lost of lot of the beauty for the location. Please post more. Someday I want to be doing adventures like yours.
John Guard thanks. I uploaded it in HD but TH-cam will sometimes show a grainier version if the connection speed is not fast enough, you might check the settings for the video and look for 720P HD version.
See the accompanying blog post I linked to in the video description, it has exact directions to the parking area www.loveyourrv.com/alien-eggs-and-hoodoos-at-the-bisti-badlands-blm/ or type Bisti Badlands into Google maps - www.google.com/maps/search/bisti+badlands/@36.2764476,-108.2257747,13z/data=!3m1!4b1 I wouldn't fully trust your GPS out here though, there are lots of dirt roads and many aren't great for travel. Cheers, Ray
Visited last week but didn’t have a map. Thank you for sharing what we missed
Next time!
That was crazy how the clouds matched. I have to get to New Mexico . Nice it is not overcrowded.
Here is another picturesque spot not far away from there - www.loveyourrv.com/camping-angel-peak-scenic-area/ Cheers, Ray
What a place!!! It is like another world in our own planet. Thanks for sharing your video.

Very cool, didn't even know it was there! Gotta go see it now that I know.
I put this on my to do list! Your videos are great, love whatever filter you used on the stills.
No filter, but do try and shoot in nice light around sunset or sunrise and do a bit of post processing on the computer.
Amazing photos! Very fun to watch!

No such thing as millions of years, 6000 or so max.
That what you thought looked like an alien head is a giant clam

Another cool place to camp in that area is called Angel Peak www.loveyourrv.com/camping-angel-peak-scenic-area/ Cheers, Ray
Does Ann publish any of her photos?
Yes, here is her website and the New Mexico category - annemckinnell.com/category/places/new-mexico/
did you get any kind of cell signal there?
We were able to get Verizon signal using a booster

Where did you find your maps for this place?
Just go to the Google Search and search for "Bisti Badlands map" Here is a good one I found - www.thewave.info/BistiBadlandsCode/Map.html
Love Your RV, Thanks so much.
Hoodoo? How ever you spell it, they look like large mushrooms but not like natural land
GPS coordinates would be nice!

Lost? This area is easy to navigate!

It's also at over 6000 feet above sea level.
