Yes, we can these days but when it comes to checking proof of funds they prefer to see THB. So it is always good to carry some amount in THB and remaining in USD. Under visa exemption policy they not are putting questions to the people or asking for proof of funds. I hope you have seen my latest video. I only had 100 THB in my pocket and remaining in forex cards: th-cam.com/video/Y9S5MVk44F0/w-d-xo.html. But when we talk about VOA, where we pay at the airport (before visa exemption), that has the set criteria to carry over 10k THB as proof of funds.
Regarding shiw money at Thai immigration, there is article from Indonesian embassy that there citizens are deported if show money of 15k baht not shown when randomly asked . Is the rule changed from 10k baht to 15k baht ?
See carry anything above 10k THB in case we have to take VOA in the future. The question whey we must carry over 10k THB because when we pay fees for VOA your funds will be short by 10k THB. I have covered this in many videos. VOA video before the visa exemption policy: th-cam.com/video/hJFEqcONZhY/w-d-xo.html Now, since Visa exemption is in place for India they rarely ask any questions and you can carry most of your funds in the cards and carry Some cash in THB. I hope you have seen my video- th-cam.com/video/Y9S5MVk44F0/w-d-xo.html
Sir I have a query. I hope u would help me out. If I go to Thailand on 5th May, will I get free visa for 1 month? Because visa free for indian is till 10 May. I hope u get my point.... Thanks
Anyone who is traveling before 10 of May are eligible for 30 days of stay under visa exemption. But I am also positive they will extend the visa exemption policy for Indians.
There is an concern of high charges of withdrawing money from ATM in Thailand. If you are withdrawing money in Most of *Bank's ATM withdrawl charges* are *220 Baht per transaction* in Thailand but *AEON Bank ATMs withdrawl charge is 150Baht per transaction* additionally your Indian bank will charge some fee (ICICI - Rs.122 + 18% GST - Total: 143.96) also you have rely on the *bank's conversion rate* in my case Market rate - 2.32 Bank's ~2.40, I hope my comment will help people who are visiting in Thailand
