Congratulations, Antoinette! I’m so happy to see you back in Thailand and grateful that you’re sharing your experiences. I’m currently researching the documents needed to apply for dual citizenship. I was born in Thailand and am Thai by birth, but I moved to the U.S., became a U.S. citizen, and haven’t been back to Thailand in nearly 30 years until recently. Why didn’t I consider dual citizenship back then? Honestly, I was young, clueless, and didn’t even realize it was an option. But now, I’m determined to make it happen because I want to split my time between Bangkok and Vegas.
Is it a reason you haven’t gone back in 30 yrs ? I had a friend whose mom is Thai, and she also hasn’t been back, since leaving. It seems like such a great place (I plan to visit this year) to live. My next door neighbor is Thai (an older lady), who’s been here in the U.S, for a long time. Her, her husband, and her sister (who lives in Switzerland), plan to move back to Bangkok for retirement, although all of her kids are here.
I was one of those people who spent money on a five year Thai privilege visa, like a month before the DTV came out. I have had two 90 day check ins so far and both times have run real smooth. They have a delivery service where a representative comes to your place, scoops up your documents and brings it back to you. I don’t use that “privilege” personally because I use that opportunity as a reason to get on my e bike and ride the fifteen minutes to the legal firm and back home myself. I do wish I got the DTV though since the DTV is cheaper and comes with a work permit
5 years? Oh darn! You're going to miss all the festivities in the great USA! But for real, all jokes aside, I know you are so happy to be back at home! Thanks for checking in. I was wondering if you made it back. Thanks for sharing ❤❤
Welcome back and great to hear you got the DTV visa. If you have a chance to come to Rayong it would be nice to show you around my city. Enjoy your life here in Thailand 🎉❤
I have zero plans of moving to Thailand yet I watched this whole thing. Mostly because you did such a great job breaking everything down. Happy travels and I hope everything continues to flourish for you wherever you land.
Schewww! I'm so glad you made it back in. Good grief, I was stressed for you. Anyhow, glad I watched this because I wasn't aware that you apply for your Visa stateside. So good to know. And it seems like the DTV is the way to go. Thanks so much for the valuable insight, and I know you're happy as I don't know what!! Good for you!
Congratulations on being back in Thailand! I have lived in Thailand multiple times (Visa Runs, ED Visas...etc) I am back in the states and I miss Bangkok every day. Thank you for the tremendously helpful info.
I’m glad to see you made it back to Bangkok. I really enjoy watching your videos. Thanks for providing the useful resources and links for those of us contemplating on making that move.
👏🏽 Congratulations on receiving your DTV🎊! You put that visa option on my radar and this breakdown of the process in obtaining it is very helpful 🙂. Thank you Antoinette!
Thailand should never kick out. People that can afford to live there. It's a bubble economy like Sri lanka they need all the people they can get with money. They should do 3 year resident if you have proof that you can afford to live there.
Thank you for sharing! I like learning about the steps you needed to take to be where you are today. Yay! You did it! What are you most excited for now you're back in Bangkok?
Awesome! Sister Sister is back! Looking so amazing, like you soaked-up plenty of Momma's LOVE...Let the Vallue-Content Continue, and the Entertainment Journey Flourish Again...Nobody does it better than A.Y. 💜👈🏽 May YAH blessings continue. 🙏🏽
I wanna move there,Bali or Philippines, but don't know where to start. I'm on my healing, spiritual and semen retention journey. I dislike being around negative people and just like to be to myself now. I received your checklist, but haven't through it yet.
@@juliunburton1515 thanks for the info I'm look more into it,but it might not be Bali. Even though it's beautiful from the pictures I've seen, but don't ya have to catch one of those small planes to the island.

Wow you sure got😮outta South Bend and I don’t blame U This was great info😢so your recommendation is to get the DTV first? And have proof of funds for ❤duration of the process??
Great video. thank you for sharing. Question: I have heard people say they got denied for using a business bank account for proof of funds. What are the type of bank account that qualify for showing proof of 15,000?
Hi Antoinette - just saw your DTV visa video; very helpful and thank you for sharing your experience. With your DTV visa, what type of airfare did you purchase to fly back to Thailand from US? Are you required to have return trip airfare or just one way ticket from US? Thanks - appreciate your info on this....
I didn't fly from the States. I flew from South Africa (as i was hosting my group trip) but i was not asked for a return flight by immigration. Th airline did ask me for one however, I showed them my visa and he let it go.
The most problems I've had with immigration is always with a "she" here. SMH. They don't like me... but thankfully the one i had upon entering this last time was pleasant.
Visa run means you went abroad and obtained a visa. Normally you won’t have any issues returning to Thailand with a (SETV) Single Entry Tourist Visa or (METV) Multiple Entry Tourist Visa. You were entering on visa exempt. I.e., you didn’t have a visa. That visa exemption is the riskiest method. This is commonly confused.
I guess its not tourist visa you were on. Its visa exempt, i assume. And as you mentioned, its not proper way to stay here longer term, sadly most people just dont get it until they are denied entry and they need to make the actual visa.
I am still salty at the Vietnam immigration officer that stamped my passport 2 pages ahead of the rest of my travel stamps. you would think they would want to keep everything together and flowing in the right order. Anyway Rant over. Glad you got the DTV! looking forward to future videos.

Hey girl! Hey! I was a bit mother-henish worried about you. I even sent you a message on Instagram. Welcome back. Glad you made it back to Bangkok!
When you said "she" I knew why you had problems with the Immigration Officer. Woomen are so good at their jobs. Sometimes too good 😂.
The most problems I've had with immigration is always with a "she" here. SMH. They don't like me... but thankfully the one i had upon entering this last time was pleasant.

So glad you’re back to Bangkok. US content was so boring. Lol
One last question how much equipment do you take for recording your TH-cam??
A lot. You can find it in the description box at the bottom
Glad to see you back home, or where you belong.😂🙏🏽
Question, what if you renewed your U.S. passport but lost it. We still have the old one they sent back separately.

Backed by the power of the US Dollar, Americans who’d love to stay long in Thailand must pay for long term visa. No big deal.
The hardest part for me is the amount of money you need to have in your account (15K) 💔.
Go to school.
Find a job 😊
That's fair. Most people, working or not, don't have $15,000 just laying around.
