It was always gone and my brother and I were on the waiting list for probably months. Played the hell out of it once we got it. Funny thing was, it was before the Frieza saga aired in the U.S., so we had no idea who half these people were or why everyone was turning blonde. But it was DBZ, which meant we loved it.
Mexico sold pirated games during the ps1 era. You could get your ps1 chipped so it can read the burned game discs. So many games for $1-$5 American dollars a game… I miss those days

when the opponent charges the ki wave (kamehameha) theres a japabnnese word counter on the lower right pop of the screen, just smash square, triangle and circle to counter it with your own ki wave but after that you have to smash another button ( triangle i think) because of the ki wave mini game

One's a punch combo, one's a kick combo, one's a beam finisher, and I forgot what the last one was. At the end of the combo, holding R2 and a direction sends them flying that way and you have a short window to input another combination to continue the combo up to 8 times.

Budokai 1 changed the paradigm. Legacy of Goku to a lesser extent but seeing DBZ in 3D on the PS2 was a game changer. These kids don't know man.

The. Hardest char to unlock was gotenks.... I remember this game:... It even had zenkai boosts you could save
back when characters were unlockable by a code, now its paid dlc
