Remember when my dad rent the ps one and this game every weekend. Me and my brother loved this game so much.
In this game Goku is voiced by Steve Blum (Zabuza, Orochimaru, Wolverine) Gohan voiced by Lex Lang (Dr. Cortex and Goku in the Bang Zoom dub of Dragon ball Super) Trunks is voiced by Skip Stellrecht (Might Guy from Naruto) Vegeta is voiced by the late Milton James (Moneybags and various characters in Spyro 2 Ripto's rage)
my pops scoured NY for this game back in 98. He managed to find a Japanese version, had to use game hunter to get it running. the best Christmas gift I ever had.
Lol, 6 variations of Goku and only ONE Vegeta, forgot how crazy this game was, I know this game is terrible but I love it anyway.
I liked it. I didn’t realise many hated this game until a few years ago.

@@machoman6969 Clearly, and the worst is i had the game in black&white.. lol so yes very bad memories with UB22.. everything is a miss. I liked Final Bout too even if i struggled to throw beams and ki attacks.

Ich hatte damals die Pal Version. Da war dieses Intro drauf mit anderer Musik.

A friend of mine had this on a modded ps1 and it was the coolest game back then. It was before GT even came out in the US. I alwats loved this game because you could control their flying.
I remember my pops got me this when I had my ps2. I was confused as to why because I didn’t want to play my ps1 anymore. But one day I popped this bad boy in and I was so locked in. Great childhood game.
I remember I would always play with this one kid on my ps2 when my mom would rent out the back of our house ahhh good times man.

Had this game in Japanese before it was released in the US. Had to prop the disc cover on my PlayStation open with a piece of cardboard for the game to even run on the console. Good times.
Weird, the uk version has the english voices and also the japanese biggest fight intro.
Probably the same reason the uk budokai 1 was in japanese with english subtitles, but no chala intro for some reason. It had it's own theme was a clip show of cinematics.

This game definitely needs to be modded. A small tweak to the combat, bring it closer to DBZ Fighter. Would be perfect.

Dragonball media was WILD at this time, cuz they just released stuff with no regard to time sensitivity or structure. We'd get toys for movies that were still 3 year out. VHS tapes with episodes that wouldn't air for a year. THIS GAME, that had GT content while we could just barely get past the Frieza saga before running into a years worth of re-runs. I miss the mystery of it all. Simulcast and social media are great in their own respects, but the magic just isn't there anymore.

I can’t believe out of all the dbz games they could have given us in the US, they gave us this one. The US wasn’t even caught up to the buu saga at that point and didn’t even get GT until much much later
they were on the namek saga when this game released in the states in the fall of 97

In Germany, the series Dragon Ball GT was first released in 2006! And then 13 episodes were not broadcast at all because they were too violent. You don’t know how disappointed everyone was after the long wait
