- This video covers everything you need to know about 1953 $2 Dollar Bills, or 1953 $2 Legal Tender Notes with red seals, from the history of the note to the design to the different factors that might make them valuable or not (and special characteristics that have outsize value catalysts). Collecting rare currency and older banknotes, especially U.S. banknotes, exposes collectors to a wide variety of really interesting monetary history and artwork, so it's always good to brush up on the information and understanding of the notes, and that is what I'm aiming to do with this series. My goal is to cover each of the main types of banknotes, highlighting everything from consecutive notes to fancy serial numbers to uncirculated and circulated bills to errors. So much info to condense and present to you - hopefully you can take away something valuable that will help you in your collecting goals.

Yeah it was helpful. I like your videos. My problem is that in Canada the Banks where I am get NO US $2 Bills. I can get the $1 in stacks of 100 banded, and I was wondering if you know anything about US Bills made for Foreign Markets? Are they just randomly selected as needed? I have a circulated 1953 B off center. I was wondering why its the only one that has an N on the note when all the rest I see have a P or other letters?
Pretty sure that is the location in which the bill was minted. Not 100% on that but that is what I thought it meant.

recieved a $2 bill series 1953 b A 73476801 A red seal def circulated with an extra red ink mark near the president that I haven't seen on any other note...looks like a backwards L 🤷🏻♀️ any info??
