Ultimate Hacking Keyboard v2 REVIEW - Can replace your mouse!

- The Ultimate Hacking Keyboard is my first programmable ergonomic keyboard and even after comparing it with other boards I find myself appreciating it each time that I can use it. It really shines in replacing the house as well as supporting multiple operating systems at the same time.
No keyboard is perfect, but this keyboard can certainly get a recommendation to consider. If you're into MX-style keyboards and like to do less mouse movement there's certainly stuff to like here.

Thanks for your review! Really enjoyed it, and it showcases Agent very well.
My goal is to focus on that with all keyboards some more. The configuration software determines _so much_ of the keyboard experience that I am very surprised why other reviews don't spend the time on it.
Thanks for making the keyboard!
Good to see your video again haha.
More to come!
Nice video, but I get a bit of seasick with that crazy steep perspective ;-) not a real problem -- content is far more important than shiny lights in the background and such.
P.S.: It is really not that easy to get the camera straight above the keyboard. I have a shelf where I can mount the camera holder, but most won't have.
Yeah I'm using the Elgato webcam for keyboard recording which is why there's some light shake. My attitude here is that I prefer to just make some calm recordings and not overdo it with a rig. I have a small desk in my attic, so this approach seems to be a nice 20/80 situation for the time being.
Probably the next step is ortholinear split ergo 🤓
There are some steps in between, but yeah, totally!
Don't wanna be negative but, I think,
It's not really a game changer. Just vim motions and a little bit of keymaping with Via will get all things I want.
If VIA gives you all you need, by all means keep on using that! I would say though that VIA won't get you the same level of mouse control, it may not give you split/tenting stuff and it also does not allow you to do adjust the timing of the hold/trigger presses.
Also stuff like tap-dancing, where a double-tap triggers something else, is also something that isn't supported in VIA.
VIA is great if it fits, but it is also a bit limited in my experience now that I've used other boards.
@@calmcode-io I understand. Great content, keep it up 👏
