i built a 3x3x2 stone trap over a raft, it works 100%, you can re use it as many times as you wan, and its useful as well to transport large dinos.
I discovered another way to trap a giga that is a lot safer and virtually fool proof. I cannot find the video that show me this wonder, but I have used it on several occasions and have never had any problems. All you need is 6 metal triangle foundations, six metal door frames, six metal triangle roof tiles (not the ceiling tiles, the inclined roof tiles, and two thatch foundations. Find a level spot near the giga you want to tame, place your first triangle foundation. Lay the two thatch foundations next to the metal triangle foundation, and place the second triangle foundation on the other end. Repeat until all six foundations have been laid. Place the metal door frames (cheaper than metal walls) on top of the foundations, then the metal triangle roof tiles on top of the door frames. MAKE SURE THE ROOF TILE IS SLANTED UP. Once this is set up, bait your giga and lead him into the circle. he will be able to step into the circle, but due to the unique shape of the triangle roof tiles, he will not be able to leave. Tranq at your leisure, and voila, you have a tamed giga.

You can use the argie trap for nearly all dinos that fit through a dino gate
One thing i do with my argent trap is i put a ceiling on it incase the argent gets out.
You can use an unwanted pteranadon to keep dino distracted while you close the gate. I did it for an argy and it worked beautifully.

Guys use hatch frame roofs instead of foundations to save materials where you can. If you need to make ramps, use thatch foundations under the hatch frame you need to place it in
You can turn off Ark's music audio while recording a video so that you don't have to set the music so high.

Actually an very good tip is tame a stego then upgrade health a lot then use cross bow when riding then hit bronto allowing you to tame it but this isn't efficient cuz if you're close to shore and you're dino is facing to the shore the bronto will swim to the sea ...

You can actually build a giga trap with only 3 metal gates to save resources
Actually with 14 metal pillar and u cant fail it cause u dont need to place anything behind the dino after it gets in

you can actually use metal billboards instead of metal gateways. Much cheaper and easier.
To save resources if you want use stone fence foundations and stone doorframes depending on the dinos you can space them out some you would set up 4 fence foundations and 3 doorframes 1,2, or 3 high set a bear trap once caught add the doorframes to the back and you save a lot more resources but note for most dinos this will work but not every dino will be trapped this way so be mindful

great video! you can actually make a rex trap with just 14 stone pillars, definitely the easiest and cheapest way to do it but these are all tremendous

If a giga doesn't care about you you can try carrying a wild dino (use flyers to carry the wild dino)
I didn’t have to use an army trap since I got rlly lucky and got a 586% crossbow and could knock a 130 out in 3 hits

Hey I’m playing on abberation and I wanted to ask if the trap for the trike would work on a sarco. I built mine 2 by 2 though so I’m not sure if a sarco would fit.

if your asking about the trap with the steps used as a ramp then you demolish 1 end of the trap to get the dino out or use a cryopod
