With a collection of 8 pens, you are an inspiration for us all. Those Sailor cocktail pens are really beautiful with rich colors and no silly swirls. 2021 is a culling year for me, during which I hope to understand which pens provide what for me, and which are duplicates, and which are dispensible.
I planned to not buy any more pens this year, but I have bought many 🙈 I have also sold many! So I do still only have less than 10. I’m trying to get my collection down to less than 5, but I’m not so sure if I can really do that LOL. I’m really trying though!
I also just got a TWSBI Iris! I was hoping for a purple center and that’s what I got. I also got the crown blue(Royal Collection )Kaweco, my first Kaweco! I’m so excited!
loved the comment that it doesn't come with the dog hair lol. oh boy I wouldn't be able to stop myself from purchasing new ones... Beautiful pens! And boy would have loved to get my hands on the twsbi iris! New subbie 💓
I told myself I wouldn’t buy any more pens coming into the new year, so tell me why I have twice as many pens now as I did two months ago when I filmed this video? LOL! As for the Iris, it will be back in April/May according to TWSBI :)
@@jennstns9 bwahahahaha too funny!!!! I had been really good but basically not using my fountain pens for a year.... now that I'm back in them its really became a huge addiction! And WOW that's fabulous news if it does come back! it's so beautiful.
Your collection & fountain pen peace is very inspiring to me!! This is my year 2021 to peel some pen layers ... lol .... I purchased way too many pens over the past 4 years. And that kind of prevented me from trying some higher level pens because I spent pen allowance quickly on lower cost ones. I'm also loving my TWSBI Vac 700 R Iris B nib. I thought it would be too big & maybe even too heavy but it's a joy to write with! Mine was a gift and quickly is becoming a favorite!!! I'm glad you've had great experiences with your Kawecos!!!
Thank you for watching and commenting, Chris!! My collection has actually changed already since this video LOL 🤦🏼♀️ I am a very anxious person and I feel a lot of guilt when I have too many of something that I can’t use them all. Even with this size of a collection, I can use each of my pens every day. I’m willing to pay a higher price tag for quality items that will last, but sometimes cheaper pens actually do better than more expensive ones in that race! I hope that you achieve your pen peace in 2021!! ❤️❤️
My favorite pen in your collection is the Sailor Old Fashioned. Very pretty. I totally get what you are saying about pugs and the rainbow TWSBI. I thought pugs were not very attractive until I took care of two for a week. My mom is thinking of getting a dog and I told her she should get a pug. The TWSBI looks a bit too colorful to me, but if I had one I would probably enjoy it. Thanks for showing your collection!
You are welcome! Glad I was able to talk you off the ledge. And I love your collection. Not sure if I’ll do a collection video. Maybe once I have reduced the number a bit. Not sure when that will be as I enjoy them all
Great collection! I'm impressed how curated your collection is! I have the TWSBI Iris and am really enjoying it! What ink do you have in it? Loved the way it looked in the clear barrel.
Thanks for watching! I actually say “vac filler,” which is short for vacuum filler. There are piston filler pens and vacuum filler pens; they are different. A piston filler requires turning the nob at the end to make the piston go up and down to suck up the ink. In a vac filler, you pull the nob up, no twisting, as you push it back down it creates a vacuum seal, then when it’s pressed down all the way, that seal is broken and ink shoots into the barrel of the pen.
Loved the video. Do you have any videos of writing samples with the Visconti pen? The Homo sapiens has been on my wish list for some time, but I am reluctant to go for it.
Hi Jenn! It’s so funny that we both posted similar videos on the same day! Lol! I liked seeing your pen collection and hearing your impressions on them. I’m glad you were pleasantly surprised about the little pen sleeve. ☺️
So you got rid of all of your white twsbis? You inspired me to get more of the rose gold which is probably my favorite twsbi and I had to get the frog ink on your recommendation!
Yes! And not be so worried about sending such an expensive object into the hands of the postal service 🙈 I might sell the extra nib unit, or I might get a cool grind done to it just for fun. Haven’t decided yet!

Wonderful collection! My next pen will be a Kaweco, and soon a Platinum, and one day, a Homo Sapien. Thanks for the inspiration!
Thank you! I bet you will love all of those pens!

Thank you for watching! I think the Old Fashion is one of my very favorites as well. It has such a handsome color scheme.
I love your collection!! And that you ordered that Kaweco mid-workout 😂
Thank you! And you scared me when you said they might not be available anymore so I had to just go for it 😂

Hey if you enjoy them all, then who cares how many you have! Video, video! I wanna seeeeee!

If I remember correctly it was Diamine Holly, from their Inkvent :)
Also can’t imagine how you parted with your pelican! One of my favorite pen brands.
Honestly the m400 felt very cheap to me. It wasn’t love. And a close friend of mine wanted it, so it went to a good home.
I learned something new from your video - never heard the FP term 'back filler' before. I have pens like that, I always called them 'piston fillers'.

Hahaha famous last words, not purchasing pens in 2021! 😉
That’s enough outta you 😉😉

Thanks for watching! I will be doing a video on it exclusively in a couple of days 😀

The TWSBIs left a looooong time ago, probably July or August. Very soon after that video of them 🙈
I knew most of them were gone but I guess I figured you would have kept one. 😂
@@Ecuador86 haha nah, I have expensive taste and I’ve accepted that 🤣
I think to reduce your stress and potential loss in the mail, perhaps wait until pen shows are to start again and see a nibmeister in person.
If you’re referring to the Visconti, I actually just ended up buying another nib unit for it. It’s perfect now 😁
@@jennstns9 Great to hear! Now you could still send off your nib and keep writing at the same time!
