Thank you again Mick and Sally for a lovely video, hmmm I have seen a few videos on crabs and lobsters being caught, cooked and eaten, but have never had the experience, thank you again for your video. Mick

Lovely Mum and grand daughter happening..lovely. Gosh mate, have been following you for yonks! Way back in early ABC.
I do really regret selling my caravan. And with further thoughts do have a huge regret....So, am looking for another.
I retired heaps prior to yourself, and am jealous I never did do same as yourself...Bugga !
But. Search is on for another van suitable for me and my SWMBO.
So happy you are both making them days/ kilometers with your retirement...Happy days for you and Sally...Cheers.👍

Cheers Dennis, hope you find a van that you can recommence your travels again. Retirement is good, hopefully the good times will continue for Sally and I for many years to come.

What a lovely way to spend your Australia day weekend!! Those crabs looked delicious!! It is many, many years since I have had freshly caught crab or prawns for that matter, something I enjoyed when growing up in the 50s. Neither my daughter or my granddaughter have ever gotten to the stage of a rug before running into boredom. I noticed last week that they have their crate of wool out again. It is one hobby I really miss but my hands are to painful to knit or crochet anymore after starting at 10 years of age & lasting into my early 70s before the arthritis crippled my thumbs.

The crabs were very nice, just the right amount. I feel that in time the art of crochet and knitting will be all forgotten which will be a sad time.

Thanks Mick, it always brings fond memories of my time in SA, watching your channel.
It doesn't surprise regarding the tide flow you mentioned. I suspect it's right along the coastline up to PA...Aways said SA had great family friendly beaches, shallow enough for the young ones to wade in and not so saline like WAs Indian Ocean with its steep drop off for example.
The Bobmobile was something again. South Aussies are very resourceful, I'll give you that.

I have also seen the Bobmobile s at Port Germein but no doubt they must be in other places as well. S.A.'s beaches are something to be envied.

Dachshunds are the best dogs to be loyal to you they act like big Rottweilers Dobermans but they're so cute especially they're floppy little ears and I love my black and tans specially my standards. For my life I have owned 4 dachshunds. And I've got my very first little girl and she's my only one right now and that's my 8-year-old Adeline she loves the kids very loyal and she loves to go camping. Maya the three boys have gone to Rainbow Creek.

We also at times seem to fall into the habit of not going to places that are close to home.

But Mick, people who drive their cars out onto the beach the way they do, doesn't the tide catch them and their cars sometimes, and their cars get destroyed totally, because in their excitement they forget when the tide is coming back or something like that. Mick

Yes people have been caught out on beaches and lost their vehicles to the incoming tide. All that needs to occur is the vehicle gets bogged in a soft section of sand and couldn't get free before the water comes in and then it is one big disaster, not for me. Not only do you run the risk of getting caught out there but you immediately start to cause the vehicle to start to rust from the sea water.

We stopped there for lunch a few weeks ago. It's a great little setup. And I seen the communal bar club opens at night time. How often would the council come around and make sure people aren't free camping there. It's the only beach I've ever been to with my metal detector and did not find anything.

    • @justcruisinwithmicksally837
      @justcruisinwithmicksally837  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

From what we noticed while there, we are sure that the same person came through the campground each morning checking on what was going on so we assume that the person was some sort of caretaker.

@@justcruisinwithmicksally837 funny thing. My wife said it's probably someone who lives there. May get a fee taken off their council rates etc. There are some big houses down that end. Not sure if I could live there or not

Great to see the young ones doing handicrafts imo. My wife is a mad crocheter and one of our daughters does some as well.
