I replaced an old warm air system with a new warm air system when we moved into our current house. The new system includes hot water which the old system did not. (got rid of the old immersion heater). We decided that we liked not having pipes and radiators all over the house. It works great, so if you have an old warm air system do not simply assume you have to replace with a wet system, you have a choice. (replacement of the warm air system was cheaper than a wet system retrofit. Another choice someone might consider is skipping straight to a heat pump based air to air system (air conditioning) but that is probably as or more disruptive than shifting to a wet system.
After 37 years in my previous house I have nothing but praise for my warm air unit. I had a Lennox unit, highly efficient and relatively cheap to run. In my current home it’s a Combi boiler wet system . Miss it.
Those warm air units caused a few deaths back in the day. Lovely job!
Cracking job and effort to the details. Rough cost of this job pls?
They make a warm air system that is powered by a combination boiler so you get the best of both worlds.
Minimum fuss and maximum safety.

Air to air heat pumps wouldn't be efficient with the size of ducting from the old warm air units. Cost too much power
