The dog obviously loves it. I'm thinking about getting a sidecar for my Triumph but my two Scotties are so badly behaved (rescue dogs) that I'd have to tie them in or have a top on the sidecar. They are the only reason I still run a car (in case they need to go to the Vet) but it's getting so expensive to fix.
I wanted to get a Ural so I could take my dog but have hesitated do to their bad reputation for reliability. I understand the new ones have a 2 year unlimited mileage warranty. How has your motorcycle and dealer treated you?
May I chime in here? I had a 2012 Gear up. Back then, they had forward disc brakes, but other two positions were drum. They also had carburetors and a antiquated airbox. Now its all disc brakes, fuel injection, and a better airbox, among other improvements. I had no issues with my 2012, but I do my own maintenance. They keep making them better. Check out Soviet Steeds online forum, mostly all about Urals. Lots of good info there. They are a hoot, and attract a lot of attention! I think reliability is much better as they have improved these aspects. Hope this helps!
