    I got to try a friends out yesterday. It is so fun. you just putter around looking at stuff, make lots of people smile and wave. It is different. I drove it like it was an antique and it felt right.

    This is my First Ural and first 3 wheeler. Before this were 11 Harley's, mostly Electraglides......!!

    I have an Ural too, but the 650. Do you have the same feel that it has more power? Mine has to have 33 hp but for the weight it feels like 45 to 50

    Jamie should definitely try and blag a go on a racing sidecar.

    Noticed that Jamie gives sidecars a thumbs up...not Ural's. Why isn't SOMEONE eating into Ural's sidecar business?

    I don't really get the whole thing about Ural sidecars. I get the sidecar, but not the Ural.
    There are tons of custom bikes out there with less issues compared to the Ural despite the latter has remained unchanged and unimproved for 70 years
    I say go and get any motorcycle sidecar and enjoy it while saving money/time/energy but still same experience

      That is engine from 1960-s. Crappy russian version of stolen BMW by ww2 . Its only 4 gear(that gearbox is eaven older desigin), wery wery old engine desingn.

      it is not stollen,hitler gave themthe technology before WW2.so the engine is from the 30ties.it is a nice retro bike,made in siberia,that means that it is made for off road and harsh conditions.you can repear it on your own .it is romantic.

      justa crlon Definitely definitely not!!! The bike looks great, don't get me wrong but not at that price.Also i hear they moved headquarters in washington,so i'm not really sure about the "hands".

    I heard these have poor reliability. How many miles/kilometers did you put on it?

    • @motoristan7707
      @motoristan7707 9 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      musixmadness These days they are much much better since 2010 you can call them reliable I have ridden one for about 15000kilometers and it was not breaking just once someone was at night stealing my front tire sorry for my english :D

    • @The_Opinion_of_Matt
      @The_Opinion_of_Matt 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      musixmadness I've heard this too, and you can find other reviews that bring that up. That said they are probably no less reliable than the Harley's from the 70's & 80's. That Ural has added fuel injection and changed the brakes to Brembo in the past few years. I think Ural is slowly starting to update and improve their bikes, give it a few more years and they will likely be much more reliable.

    • @Statueman10
      @Statueman10 9 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      The Opinion of Matt I've got 7300KM on my 2012 Retro and only one issue...a sticky rear brake switch that started acting up after sitting for a winter at about 5500KM. That's it... I replaced it for $9.00 and not another issue with the bike ever. Too many people recall the initial Urals that came over versus the newer models. Newer models have Brembo brakes, Italian forks, Ducati ignition, Denso alternator, etc, etc While pricier in the decked out models, a cT can be had for much less. People need to check them out for themselves. I had 3 Moto Guzzis and the Ural... I now have just the Ural. :)

    WARNING!!! Do not waste your hard earned money on this over priced piece of shit. There is zero factory quality control. You will be working on the damn thing more than riding it. I speak from experience.

    • @4pidgey357
      @4pidgey357 8 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Engine was at the dealer for over 2 months awaiting a new crank due to shitty welds on the oil slingers. F.D. pinion gear seal replaced twice. Powercoat flaking off of tub after 2 months. Neutral light not working due to faulty switch in the trans.
      Bike died on the road due to a bad hall effect sensor. All of this on a new bike.
      Honda like reliability? In your dreams!!
