They put fairings on a Street Triple S 660 and made it more expensive. Since most of its potential owners are beginners who don't know much, may as well use the Daytona name to milk sales
On one hand it's not what we hoped for in a Daytona, on the other hand it is a sportsbike with every day qualities which isn't a bad thing. Many riders want the looks but not necessaryly the radical ergonomics anyway, especially if that's their only bike. It's good for what it is in my opinion.
Is the comfy sportbike philosophy popular in the EU? I would've thought it to be true, but many stay true to pure supersports, especially the mid 2000s models in my area within the US.
That's it! People want the cool looks, but not the back / wrist pain.... i hope this kind of bikes going to get over 100hp - that would make me happy! Yes sport tourers do…..but they are simply far too heavy
Excellent review. I own one of these with optional QS. QS is worth every penny. It is not super quick, but it is very smooth. My only complaint is sporty ergo. I wish to have a little bit less of weight on wrists for decent middle-weight sport touring.
I test road one and really liked it allot. but I also felt like I wish it had just a little less lean to the bars. I also wish it had brakes as good as the 765 RS. and one thing I didn't even notice until the sales person pointed it out to me is the fake plastic frame covering a tubular frame.
With the exception of the Honda 650, this absolutely SHITS all over the competitors (Ninja 650, Yamaha R7, GSX8r) for the same price essentially. Aprilia rs660 costs the same as 600cc supersports and thus is not a competitor. I know people are upset about the loss of the barely streetable 600cc class, but this is still (objectively) the best sportbike in its price range.
you should have been use it with quickshifter. Mine has it, it multiplies riding pleasure. Did you try the modes? Sport mode makes a lot difference comparing to rain and road. Road mode is smoother for the daily use but it is way more sharp in sport mode.
How am I supposed to use a Quickshifter when there is none? Buy it myself for several hundred euros and mount it onto a press bike that I'm borrowing for 15 minutes?
95 HP for someone who has never ridden a bike is crazy. This thing can go 0-100 in under 4 seconds. It's a good upgrade for someone who has already ridden a medium/small bike like a 400 or a 300, but definitely not for a beginner rider.
I wanted to get the Daytona 660, but it is too expensive for what it has to offer. I pre-ordered the CFMoto 675 NK instead. I think a Naked Bike is also a smarter choice for me, I won't do any track riding, just wheelies, mountain roads and city.
Is it safe to say the Nuda video is never going to be published for normal subs? I mean i can ride my own for the sound, but the way you ride is just so much cooler lol.
I don't know if the market is in need for a proper super sports. Did bikes like the latest CBR600 sell well? I honestly don't know but that might be the answer to that question :D
@@Schaaf honestly the only (okay maybe two) negative things about the cbr600rr are the cheap noname brakes and that it has no cruise control. Literally the only thing that keeps me from buying it. After I had CC, I dont want to miss it again, same with brembo.
Hey Schaaf, as you've ridden loads of bikes, maybe it would be cool if you did a vid like this one? th-cam.com/video/RWZUyMmbuZI/w-d-xo.html Love your work, keep it up!
Too much plastic. The fake frame is really ugly, as the dashboard designed by Fischer Price….Good video, as usual, but sorry, this bike gets no appeal to me. Triumph makes beautiful bike, with stunning finish, but this one has been obviously designed to be cheap.
IF it wasn't called a Daytona, everyone would love it.

The cockpit is super ugly to me
Ninja 300 vibes.
Only Tracer 9 has an uglier one. 😂
Think that's bad, have a look at the GSX8R
Agree, it looks like a kymco/vespa scooter
This bike is ugly, but at least it’s pleasant to ride.
Im loving the sound for sure
Thanks!

was für ein feines Gerät. Bringt a paar Erinnerungen zurück
Hehehe :)

I haven't been riding the R7 but all the others and I think you're probably right :)
Apart from the cockpit, it's a pretty bike.
Perfect for A2 kids!
I guess
the downshifts without the quick shifter are on point
Thanks a lot!!
Watching from Phillipines here 🫡 ride safe always bro
Thanks mate

@Schaaf how are you supposed to live with such a low iq, just borrow a bike with quickshifter. LoL🤣
@@Schaafahhahahahah you can't make every idiot happy. Ride safe out there ❤
It says 2 min in the video that there is no quickshifter

Wobei ich das geliebt habe :)
Definitely a budget minded bike unlike the original Daytona. Whether that's good or bad is anyone's opinion.
True
Hornet CB1000 SP raw onboard please
Next year!
Could you review the KTM RC 390 at some point?
Unfortunately can't choose the bikes I get to ride
You and your perfect roads! ,,😫😫
Thanks ;)
Is the speedlimit on such narrow roads really 120 kph for you guys?
100
Sound is good but can’t beat my dream bike Daytona 675….675 was love
Agreed
Why a funky looking dash tho.... lol. Good one.
Thanks Gokul!

Nothing like the original 675. Not even close. Great road option for beginners though

@@Andrea-of5md it is for European beginners (who are training with these kinds of bikes in riding school), not for US beginners
I wouldn't recommend this to beginners, like Andrea says, it's a good upgrade
@@Schaaf well I guess it depends what kind of beginner you are
For beginners...you don't ride bikes do you.
12:30 tap tap tap... 👍
Tire did well ;)
Why Yamaha triples do not sound that great?
Good question
Gut Video, guter Motorrad, besser Motorrader.
Danke!!
I actually prefer it, when you have to ride bikes without quick shifter. :D
At least someone :)
good 👍🏻
Thanks 😊

I'll wait until spring. Nobody's watching in the winter and I don't want to waste it :)
die "Daytona" hat ein so viel bessere lesbare RPM anzeige im vergleich zur 765 RS. Jetzt fehlen nur noch mehr 105cc und 35ps dann wäre so geil haha
Daytona 800 is coming soon
@@RideNGrind hopefully, that would be sick but please let it be a real daytona not this weird sport touring

Funny your comment on bad camera angle... as it looks like the same slightly off angle as usual 😅
That's simply not true but I understand that it takes good eyesight to be able to spot it
@Schaaf I have mentioned it before, but who cares what your followers think right? Arrogance is never a good look mate.

Thanks for the suggestion!
1:03 what was that lmao
No idea what you mean :)
They really should have called this the Sprint 660 and made it more of a sports tourer, I find it very expensive for what it is.
Name a cheaper brand new sport bike with more chops
It kind of feels like a sports tourer. It's just the name
Imagine this, Triumph are using this dashboard for a new upcoming Tiger Sport 800.. So outdated dashboard.
I know, it's ridiculous
😀👍
Thanks
Engine sounds quite buzzy
Because it's a 3 cylinder
Buzzy in a good way :D
This is a step backwards from Triumph 😢
Not sure about that
That's a shame
Why?
Thanks
IF ONLY they build 1000cc Daytona
That'd be great
@Schaaf would you try norton v4 r or sv or buell hammerhead ?
Der Motor schreit ja förmlich nach: "Bitte mach mich zur 765RS"
this
Immerhin gibt's ja ab jetzt auch einen 800er Motor, mal schauen, was noch kommt
It looks like a 125/300 bike from this angle lol
Thanks
I'll keep my Daytona Moto2
Good plan
This should have had a different name. It does seem like a good bike but calling it a Daytona will always bring the comparison to the real bike.
That is correct
once again a one-eyed triumph, for which others will believe that its idiot driver does not know how to change a light bulb 😮💨
True that, looks odd
Rasenmäher 🤣
Selten einen so wohlklingenden Rasenmäher gehört!
Yamaha MT-09 have better sound.
Ok!

Ehehehe Fisher price
Those triple clamp also very very ugly
Ok

Ok
