Michigan mom here- I’m used to watching NFL games, I was impressed that it was a fairly played game- not the dirty hits and tons of holding (at least not that I could see). Both teams tried hard- mistakes could have been super costly both sides. Overtime made it exciting. Good game!

Since you are a Michigan alumni. Then you must remember when Tom Brady beat us in the Orange Bowl in overtime. I can't say which one was worse, not making it on fourth and goal, or missing the extra point to tie the game to go into second OT.

I don't know what they could have done. If GA and Bama were both 12-1 and Bama just beat GA fair and square (not to mention owning a conference championship), the committee couldn't put GA in without putting Bama in. It wouldn't have made any sense to put GA in and not Bama. And if they put Bama in, they had to put 12-1 conference champ TX in who beat Bama. And of course WA and Mich were automatics. And if FSU were added like they "in theory" should have, there is no way GA would have made it. Just not enough spots.

Actually, after reviewing the outcomes. I think Alabama got lucky beating Georgia. Sounds crazy but I think Georgia could take down Michigan and Washington. I really think they are the best team........this is where committee went wrong.

Offensive coordinator at Alabama was horrible and didn't make timely adjustments. Also, didn't allow the quarterback to play freely like in the Georgia game. I think they need a new more experience offensive coordinator........the loss is really on Nick and offensive coordinator.

Michigan could not have shot themselves in the foot more and they still won. Michigan's offensive variety kept the tide at bay , while Alabama seemed content to run the qb. Left wondering why Saban did not open it up more, perhaps he had no choice as his o line did not come through. How many bad snaps do need before you just leave the qb under centre.

Thanks Coach Nick Saban for agreeing that the last play in overtime was a terrible play. Although, can't look at the last play because defense didn't stop Michigan on fourth and two. An my last point Bama won the toss in overtime, why not put offense on the field to start....smh. Michigan's defense is better than I thought and they are the favorite to win the Natty.
In college OT you usually want offense to go 2nd to see what the opponent scored and then respond. For example if opponent didn’t score at all then when it’s your turn on offense all you need to do is get a field goal.
This defense is crazy. They're good everywhere. Interior, edges, secondary, they're aggressive, they rarely miss tackles, they're smart, they rotate alot so they're rarely tired. Bama was surprised too lol. Go Blue!

I exclusively saw Bama fans talking shit. Hardly saw any Michigan fans having egos, they're just more grounded with reality I guess. As a Michigan fan, I was fairly confident they'd lose.
Both teams made mistakes, both teams made plays, and it even came down to the last play. Winner, or loser no fan of these schools should be disappointed in their team. Amazing game.
I see the pain in Saban's face. This one seems to really hurt him. I hate it for us all but I consider the season a success. I have no complaints & proud of what this team accomplished. The future's bright & that's a good thing. ROLL TIDE!
At the end of the day these are just young men learning from mistakes and trying to stay composed. Too many mistakes from both teams of this caliber and one team just survived. Unless something changes in the next week for Michigan, the team to beat will probably be Washington or Texas. I am a Michigan fan, but a realist.

Michigan deserves credit for playing very hard. I also think of all the National Championships that Nick Saban has won for Alabama..It seemed to be more business along with restriction, where he wanted his players to just be totally focus on the game and ignore the outside noise... But this time, he let his hair down and he went to Disneyland and had all type of fun during the time in Pasadena. And even after we won the SEC Championship game... he did the cupid shuffle. He was having fun and it's about time. So the overtime lost to Michigan in the rose bowl does not defined who we are as a team.
Michigan fan here. Jalen Milroe is a class act and a heck of a player. He just had too big of a load to carry himself. I'd bet on that kid in the future. He's a winner.
Alabama should have run the ball in the first half more , Saban was instinent passing the ball , he underestimated Michigan defense how fast their defenders were. .
I think its all the commentators and fans, they literally non-stop ranted about Michigan beating Iowa, and how it wasnt good enough, never mentioned Auburn, and said Michigan has never played a QB like Milroe. I promise you, Taulia Tagovailoa is way better. They never talked about how damn good Michigan's defense is, and I didnt hear anything about the Michigan GOAT, Blake the Great, whole stole the game.
You have to have time to throw the ball and Jalen didn’t have the time he needed. Cudos to Michigan’s defense. That was the difference to me in this game.
That last play is just an example of the whole season. They just didn’t deserve that win. The offense sucked, couldn’t pass protect and the receivers couldn’t get open.
One of the plays. I watched #3 run right into coverage. When he had a wide open field to the left. I don't get why they don't train the receivers to change routes based on coverage. I'm sure they do but, one example of why this year and last "same receivers" Our receivers would never be open. When we had Tua, our receiver were always open. We just had a sucky defense. If only we had this defense with Tua or Bryce.

UGA isn't the better team, they had a very weak schedule that helped them look better than they were and maintain the #1 spot through the year. Their weak schedule didn't prepare them for Bama....and they would have lost to Michigan too.

Alabama had just one early close loss to Texas. If they didn't deserve to be there, who did? FL State who played a weak ACC schedule and went on to lose to UGA by 60? Thanks Coach Nick Saban for agreeing that the last play in overtime was a terrible play. Although, can't look at the last play because defense didn't stop Michigan on fourth and two. An my last point Bama won the toss in overtime, why not put offense on the field to start....smh. Michigan's defense is better than I thought and they are the favorite to win the Natty.
In college OT you usually want offense to go 2nd to see what the opponent scored and then respond. For example if opponent didn’t score at all then when it’s your turn on offense all you need to do is get a field goal.

This defense is crazy. They're good everywhere. Interior, edges, secondary, they're aggressive, they rarely miss tackles, they're smart, they rotate alot so they're rarely tired. Bama was surprised too lol. Go Blue!

I exclusively saw Bama fans talking shit. Hardly saw any Michigan fans having egos, they're just more grounded with reality I guess. As a Michigan fan, I was fairly confident they'd lose.
Both teams made mistakes, both teams made plays, and it even came down to the last play. Winner, or loser no fan of these schools should be disappointed in their team. Amazing game.

At the end of the day these are just young men learning from mistakes and trying to stay composed. Too many mistakes from both teams of this caliber and one team just survived. Unless something changes in the next week for Michigan, the team to beat will probably be Washington or Texas. I am a Michigan fan, but a realist.

And even after we won the SEC Championship game... he did the cupid shuffle. He was having fun and it's about time.
So the overtime lost to Michigan in the rose bowl does not defined who we are as a team.

Michigan fan here. Jalen Milroe is a class act and a heck of a player. He just had too big of a load to carry himself. I'd bet on that kid in the future. He's a winner.
What did he do that differentiated him other QBs that made him classy?
Alabama should have run the ball in the first half more , Saban was instinent passing the ball , he underestimated Michigan defense how fast their defenders were. .
I promise you if anyone on the team underestimated Michigan it wasn’t coach Saban. He talks about preparing hard no matter who the opponent is.
I think its all the commentators and fans, they literally non-stop ranted about Michigan beating Iowa, and how it wasnt good enough, never mentioned Auburn, and said Michigan has never played a QB like Milroe. I promise you, Taulia Tagovailoa is way better. They never talked about how damn good Michigan's defense is, and I didnt hear anything about the Michigan GOAT, Blake the Great, whole stole the game.
You have to have time to throw the ball and Jalen didn’t have the time he needed. Cudos to Michigan’s defense. That was the difference to me in this game.

That last play is just an example of the whole season. They just didn’t deserve that win. The offense sucked, couldn’t pass protect and the receivers couldn’t get open.
One of the plays. I watched #3 run right into coverage. When he had a wide open field to the left. I don't get why they don't train the receivers to change routes based on coverage. I'm sure they do but, one example of why this year and last "same receivers" Our receivers would never be open. When we had Tua, our receiver were always open. We just had a sucky defense. If only we had this defense with Tua or Bryce.

UGA isn't the better team, they had a very weak schedule that helped them look better than they were and maintain the #1 spot through the year. Their weak schedule didn't prepare them for Bama....and they would have lost to Michigan too.
