Do you realize how much the human condition has benefited from the industry of modern man in the last seven decades? We have been taken out of poverty by modern man and his industry. And because of that, we have too many people on the earth so you think. And all you do is complain. I guess the solution is to kill more people so the earth can be made whole?
I just listened to this version and thought the exact thing, while agree with Kathy to a degree, in the way that there have been so many positive advances, I have to say that this song was pretty prophetic. The scaryt thing is the line "will you tell us when to live, will you tell us when to die." and think af the advancement in eugenics, abortion an euthanasia. The song was released in 1970.
