Thank you for sharing and for you vulnerability! It’s so helpful for me. Questions for the q&a: How quickly did you start to see some of your symptoms go away (like feeling cold, having energy, etc.)? What was your first day of recovery like? Did you wake up knowing that day was going to be the first day, or was it a spur of a moment decision? Did you ever intermittent fast?
Thank you for sharing your story. Regarding your weight settling out, did you find yourself eating less at that point? Or were you purposefully scaling back on desserts & snacks?
Lately I haven’t been as hungry as I used to be and realized I was losing weight. At first I was terrified I might lose my period so I would try to force myself to eat more. It’s getting better since I started exercising and building muscle, but I’m afraid it’ll happen again. Is there any signs of losing your period before the actual loss of it?
The only sign is not having your period bleed! Definitely check out this blog post too: www.emmysyummysnutrition.com/womens-health/health-consequences-of-hypothalamic-amenorrhea
Hi I am 15 years old and I eat around 900-1000 calories in a day, I missed my period and I also struggle with bingeing (healthy and junk food), junk food is twice in a week, I thought I can gain weight because I eat 5 types of cakes (due to restrictions), also after that I feel so bad, my stomach goes crazy and I feel guilty ... Please can you help me?
Helloo, i just saw your video and was reflecting on my own situation. Since August I've been trying to lose weight and started doing weight training every single day and tracked ny food very strictly since then. However, since the end of September i didn't have my period and i was actually not sure why that could've happened. Could it actually be because all of that?
Yes it very much so can be related! This is definitely something to be concerned about. If you would like some help with this, I would love to help you as I help my clients with this😌 www.emmysyummysnutrition.com
i have had anorexia for a few years and been hospitalized a lot and lost my period about 2.5 years ago and i am fully recovered and weight restored now but i still have not got my period back, it seems like my womanly functions have completely died off lol. and i do eat enough but like to eat very healthy food and i exercise 5 to 7 hours a day. i am not sure why my period has not returned.
Hey Lucy, it’s very likely due to the amount of exercise you are doing! I have a podcast episode all about this as well that I think you should check out! It’s called The Nourished To Thrive Podcast :)
Has it been a confirmed PCOS diagnosis? It’s common for many practitioners to assume it’s PCOS when it could be HA due to under eating and over exercising!
@@emilyvazquez yes, it just got confirmed last week. i eat 2500 and i weightlift an hour 5 days a week. I am 5'2, 126 pounds. I am not sure if not eating enough/exercising too much is the issue.
If it is a confirmed PCOS diagnosis, I would take a much different approach to restoring your cycle! If you think you would benefit from some help with this, I would love to help you figure this out 💜 www.emmysyummysnutrition.com/coaching@@magikyuu
