My go to pellet for the last 35 year has been RWS Superdome ( in both .177 and .22 ) great accuracy , my current air rifle is a HW95K in .177 with a Vector Veyron compact scope , in good conditions will knock over 5p pieces out to 60 yards , my pest control is 45 yards or under .
My HW97K in .22 is over 25 years old but (it's had a v mach kit) it still packs a full power 12 ft/lbs punch. I prefer a heavier pellet as I rarely need to shoot a rat over 20 yards. Anything H&N or good old Bisley magnums. I think the extra weight of a heavier pellet provides that little bit extra smack for a kill. I find that most shots pass through so expansion (mute point in sub 12) is not really an issue. Rats are by design tough as hell and it never ceases to amaze me how dramatically they can sometimes die. Some though, like in your video, just drop stone cold dead. Yep - RWS Superdome in .22 for my 40 odd year old Webley Vulcan springer (made in Birmingham, & yes, the trigger pull adjustment works on this one) Also RWS Superdome in .22 in my CP2 CO2 Rifle/Pistol combo'.
I have the Black Ops 177cal and I like it a lot it's a little loud but powerful even for that caliber. At 20,30to40yds rat's, bird's, and even pests as big as a rabbit or racoon is going down hard. For best results with springer or gas gun's is to make sure you hold the gun with the artillery hold to keep the pellet close to a quarter inch with maybe possible flyers.
Great shooting man! 👍 My favorite pesting pellets are the JSB Hades! They're really accurate out of my springers & you can definitely hear the difference in the "pop" vs a regular dome pellet! My only concern is, will the double recoil of a springer hurt that ATN scope? I know springers can break scopes that aren't specifically made to take the double recoil. Take care ✌️

My Patterdale terrier isn't fussy about which part of the rats' body kills them the quickest, good to see some springer shooting, I've a 98 in 177 , great accuracy when you get your eye in 👍
Im using the jsb hades in .22, tend to go mainly for head shots but occasionally i do go for body shots and the results are always instant kill with the hades.
@AIR HUNTER UK AA TX200 springer and the same with my bsa ultra pcp. Shots are never usually over 30yrd and you can hear the thump on impact. Some good shooting there, nice to see the springers in action 👌
Yup definitely need the Hades on those suckers by the looks of it, there´d be nothing left of em though... I´ve seen them blow right through 3/4" ply board (target backstop) at 30y with a mates HW97 @ 16J , nice shooting though 👍

My .22 Webley Vulcan springer is fitted out with the Hawke, 3 - 9 X50 AO mil dot scope with 11 mm rail, 4 bolt mounts & has never moved.

My hw100 seems to love the Chinese pellets. Qys 9.2 grain. 177.
